Rated 5 de 5 de par Great Tool We just had a 30x30 family room added to our home, and are doing the finishing work ourselves. We bought 3/8" brazilian cherry pre-finished flooring to install, and needed to find a good nailer/stapler. There were a few things that we liked about this model: it it has a trigger instead of the traditional hammer to engage it, it's lightweight, and it has an optional head to convert it to a finishing nailer. We bought it, and are very close to finishing the floor now. The product has worked beautifully with very few mis-fires, and is very easy to use. We are going to change the head, and use it on the casings and baseboards next!

Rated 5 de 5 de par Easy to use, quality built, powerful, easy set up, light weight, great price installing half inch engineered hard wood flooring. Didn't want to rent a floor nailer as I couldn't dedicate my entire day to this project. The price made this an easy decision. I am very happy I purchased this floor nailer. Installed 150 sqft without a problem. Easy set up, directions clear and easy to follow, trigger easier to use compared to the other floor nailers where you use a mallet to fire the nailer, quality product did not feel cheap. I would highly recommend this product. Now onto my next bedroom floor to update with more hard wood.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Lightweight with a solid feel I purchased this nailer at the last minute purchase because I had about 360 Sq Ft of engineered floor to install and the floor manufacturer's recommended nailer was unavailable. I am pleased to say after shooting about 3500 brads without a misfire or jamb, in tight area's like closets, and corners this unit preformed like a champ. Just make sure to use a few drops of pneumatic oil every 1000 or so nails or staples and you should be good. The unit is lightweight, smooth, and easy to operate. I am actually looking forward to using it for the trim work I have yet to do.

Rated 5 de 5 de par I was needing to install some engineered flooring for a client and was having a difficult time finding an air hammer to do the job. Most that were available was expensive and limited to a 1" staple length. I was happy to find this nailer that was versatile enough to shoot varying length of staples. The gun had some trouble shooting the 1 1/2" staples, but shot the 1 1/4" staples great. As a bonus, it converts very easily to a brad and staple nailer by replacing the floor foot with the supplied alternative. I was very pleased with its performance, quality, and versatility. A very good product for the money.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Works great with 3/8" maple flooring I bought this to install 3/8" maple flooring over top of plywood underlayment where there had previously been carpet. Using 1 1/4" long staples @ 90psi works great. This drives the staple just enough with minimal damage to the tongue. YMMV depending on the hardness of what is underneath and the thickness of the flooring. This is one of the few nailers I found that is designed for thin (3/8" and up) hardware flooring. Note that this unit does not work with the barbed cleats, as they simply do not fit. Only 1/4" wide 18 ga. staples, or 18 ga nails (haven't tried nails yet as flooring manufacturer recommends staples). I like that it converts to a regular nailer too, as it will make puting up new trim and chair rail super easy.

Rated 5 de 5 de par does what it is supposed to Works great on 1/2 inch engineered maple flooring. Takes a bit of getting used to (work on a scrap piece to see how gun fires). Keep a hammer and a nail driver handy in case the staple does not fire all the way in to manually hammer the staple the final mm or so. Does not happen too often, maybe once every 50 or so staples. Overall excellent value and like the title states - does what it is supposed to.

Rated 3 de 5 de par This is not for the pro installer. I Install a lot of flooring. The set-up is as easy as it gets. This is one of the best nailguns for the money, (for a do-it-yourself person). If you install for a living--- This gun misfires often (fires without a nail shooting). The piston does not come all the way back up. The gun also lacks power. (If you are a pro, the gun will not keep up with you.) For the do-it-yourself person. this is the best nailgun for you. If you slow down the gun works great.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Great option I was putting down an engineered hardwood floor and wanted a more traditional blind nailed install. This Nailer works great and the flooring shoe lets you adjust it for a wide range of depths. I liked it so much that when I finished the floor and switched to the regular shoe, I used if for the baseboard and decided to add chair rail . . . all with one tool! Easy to load easy to use. I do have a 6 Gallon compressor with a higher than average PSI rating and I had to run the gun at 95-100 psi to get through the hardwood, less when I was doing the molding.

I would not recommend using for 3/4" . A standard T or L cleat or flooring staple with a regular flooring nailer would be the best bet. This will work on the thinner flooring; but, 18 ga. nails are way too light for 3/4" stuff.

I have an older home and it has 3/8th inch solid oak T&G flooring 2 inch wide. I've seen many a nailer lately but none of them will hand 3/8th inch oak flooring.... or anything 3/8th. They all do 1/2 and 3/4, but NOT 3/8th.... will this do 3/8th inch X 2 inch oak flooring? thank you, Brad

Brad, This nailer/stapler worked great for me. I used mine this past year to put down almost a thousand square feet of 3/8 flooring. I was very impressed with it. Of course you will have to adjust your pressure on your air compressor and the length of your brads to get the desired depth you are looking for. But yes I would highly recommend the freeman nailer/stapler. Practice on some scrap wood until you get comfortable with it. Good luck with your project.

I used mine to install engineered flooring in my home. It worked terrific. As with any nail gun for flooring, you have to be sure the clear is in the proper location or your nails will not work out properly. But I believe all my misses were my fault not the gun.

I purchased this to install 3/8 inch stranded bamboo flooring. I am having problems keeping it adjusted. After 2-3 boards the depth adjustment screws slip and will result in misfires. I've tightened them down as much as possible without risk of stripping them. When I can keep it adjusted it works well. Any suggestions? Thanks

Sorry, I used it on 3/8 engineered hardwood & never had an issue with the adjustments going out. I would suggest contacting the manufacturer directly
