Rated 2 de 5 de par Buttons are a problem 2 months after we had this unit installed the 3rd fan speed button pushed in, broke and fell inside the unit, very shortly after the 2nd fan speed button pushed out and flew out across the kitchen. Now we have two holes where the buttons are supposed to be and only the 1st fan speed setting. The buttons are extremely clumsy and make a loud clunking sound when ever you push them in or out. I was easy to install, it looks good, but I regret my purchase. I wish I read more reviews on the Frigidaire website where others had the exact same problem and complaint. I have not had to replace the bulbs yet, but there were complaints on how difficult it can be, i'm not looking forward to that.

Rated 2 de 5 de par Fan Speed Button Falls Out This range hood was provided in our new home we bought in 2016. The performance for four years has been good however the medium speed fan button just fell out and when we tried to put it back in place it went inside the hood and can't be retrieved. I see from other reviews this problem is not uncommon. Frigidaire needs to do something about this obvious design/manufacturing flaw. My hood is out of warranty so unless I get some assistance from Frigidaire my only option is to purchase a new hood. Rest assured it won't be a Frigidaire!

Rated 3 de 5 de par big but Looks nice, but soon after 1 yr warranty expired, the low speed fan button came unglued and has since fallen into the hole in the hood it came out of

Rated 1 de 5 de par Terrible Design for Fan Buttons Do Not Buy! We got this from our builder in our new home, it worked great for us for about 3 months. But after 3 months the low speed fan button came unglued and has since fallen into the hole in the hood it came out of, and soon after all fan speed buttons came off. It was replaced under warranty but now 2 years down the road 2 of the buttons are inside the hood and I have to use one to put in the different fan speed holes to operate. Trying to figure out how to get them out but there doesn't seem to be screws to take apart. Bad bad bad design!!! DO NOT BUY!!!!!!

Rated 1 de 5 de par Good hood but... [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We got this from our builder in the new home, worked great for us for about 14 months. But after 14 months though, the low speed fan button came unglued and has since fallen into the hole in the hood it came out of, and soon after all fan speed buttons came of. There is no way to fix this and only way is to get it replaced. For a product that costs about 250+, getting only 1 year out if that product is not good.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Don't Buy! Buttons break and are very expensive to replace The push buttons on the front of this are defective. They are made to look like they are metal but they connect to a very small piece of plastic that breaks off easily. The replacement part is more expensive than the entire unit.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Quite disappointed. Just like others, I have a button which fell out of the unit and then tried to re-insert and it got pushed all the way into unit. So far have been in a chat with associates for 2 hours and they are not able to help. The front buttons should be serviceable. Looks like I'll be replacing the unit with something else.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Somewhat disappointing This range hood was included in our new home purchase April 30, 2019. In May of this year, a scant 13 months after we took possession of the home, the low speed button dislodged and fell back into the fan. I now have an empty hole, and only two speeds. It's rather surprising since we did not move here full time until June 9th of this year. We were part time residents. In talking with my neighbors, it was discovered that this was not uncommon. This is very disappointing. I would not recommend this range hood fan to anyone. As a matter of fact I will tell all prospective neighbors to make sure they have the builder replace that particular fan before they purchase.

How does one replace the halogen light bulbs? Mine both stopped working--one at a time. Any issues with using LED-equivalents for replacement?

How do you hook up the power source? Via outlet or hard wire? My current hood is plugged in via outlet. Will this work?

We just bought a frigidair range. Wanted a range hood microwave but it will not fit.
Posée par: Colt
This unit is designed to be hard wired internally for power. You could likely install a power cord, but you might want to check your local building code before installing a range hood in that manner.

How do I install this convertible range hood to work as the recirculating type when the exhaust vent is on the top of the hood and will be partially covered by my 12” D cupboards? Design flaw or missing part?

Posée par: PJ04
Hi, PJ04! For installations which are recirculating the air exhaust, the recirculation vent cover must be removed. You can find complete installation instructions on page 13 of the Installation Guide. ~ Brandi
