The landlord had this toilet installed 1 month ago (Feb 2020) to replace one that was installed when the place was built in the 90's I think...it was disgusting. This is clearly the cheapest toilet and you definitely get what you pay for. The toilet "dual flush" system doesn't work. It takes two flushes (and the refill is so slow) if you go #2 and there is so little water that you'll have to scrub the inside of the bowel to get skid marks removed. The fill only goes about 2 inches above the exit hole MAX. See my video for actual examples of what I'm talking about.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Pleasantly Surprised I bought 2 of these to replace my old Harvest Gold and Cocoa colored toilets (color choices of toilets were inherited... I’d never make such a sick, color-coded joke). After reading some negative reviews about abysmal flushing ability, I decided to go with these (as the price is right, I wanted dual-flush, it was a Consumer Reports #2 pick, and the good reviews far outweighed the bad). Installed these myself 2 weeks ago (the virtual BILT instructions are great) and continue to be amazed by the flushing power. I’m extremely happy with my choice and wanted to share.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Tank to toilet gasket defect Toilet install was going great until I tried to bolt the tank to the bowl. No matter how much I tightened the wingnuts the tank still rocked on the bowl. After looking up reviews this is not an uncommon occurrence. I called customer service who put me through to a plumbing tech and was told they know about this issue and will be sending some shims in a couple days. I don't see why they couldn't have been included in the box. This is an easily fixable problem. The last reviewer had the same problem seven months ago. Home Depot should have resolved this issue by now but hasn't.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Poor quality Purchased the sub $100 elongated bowl glacier bay two piece toilet. Installed and noticed water drip on bottom of tank. Appears that the factory installed the tank to bowl bolts over tight and cracked the porcelain. This is not a shipping problem. I Returned the original leaking tank and received a new tank. When installed the same problem occurred. The tank leaks at the bottom due to stress cracks caused by the factory over tightening the tank to bowl bolts after manufacture. I returned the second tank and rather than reinstalling, tested the tank by filling with hose. The third tank tested ok and I installed it. Two days labor, two trips to store. Don’t purchase this product. The price seems great but the quality is inferior.

I purchased 2 of these Glacier Bay but actually Mfg. by a company called NAMCE North America Ceramics approx. 8 months ago and the porcelain finish is cracking all around the bowl under the glazing on one of the units and on the other there have surfaced black spots of impurities in the porcelain finish so I called the company and they said no Warranty after 90 days so you get for what you pay for. Very, Very Disappointed not only about this Garbage but at Home Depot for Passing it Along. Maybe I should have purchase a China Made after all they have been in Ceramics a long time.

Rated 1 de 5 de par What a waste This toilet is so cheaply made. Yes it’s an inexpensive toilet... But the lid to the tank doesn’t even fit on the tank. It’s totally noticeable because you see it from side the way my bathroom set up. The toilet lid is such cheap and thin plastic, you cannot sit on it as it feels like it’s going break. Lugging a toilet from the store to home is bad enough. Then install. THEN see it’s complete junk. Have to remove it. Now how do I return it. Ugh. Don’t do it.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Nice toilet for the price. I bought this after my 15 year old toilet died on me. It was easy to install and has all the stuff you need. At first I was frustrated because how slow it filled and seemed like it ran for a long time. I then adjust the blue and grey things on the lid and it fixed it. It was too long so it touched the plusher to keep it barely open. You can shorten it and now it fills up quick. Some of the reviews said it took to long to fill up but this is how to fix it.

Box came with everything needed for standard installation. I never thought I'd be bringing myself to write a review about a toilet so here goes: the overall appearance is incredible, especially at this price point. We replaced the existing toilet we had with this one and it has made a world of a difference. The dual flush option is easily my favorite feature. I played around with that a bit and noticed that the "liquid only" button has more than enough power to flush a decent amount of "solid" bodily waste. You can't beat the price and the performance exceeded our expectations by a long shot. I would definitely recommend this toilet to anyone looking for a great, solid and affordable replacement or addition.

I bought two of these toilets and I installed them myself. I have had them for about 2 months and they flush great. No problems from day one with flushing.

How do you adjust the water level in the bowl?

I can't understand why the water level is so low in such a big bowl. I have cleaning issues. I really would like to keep it but would like instructions on how to raise the water level in the bowl. Thank you.
Posée par: Big D
Gl;acier bay rep, could you just post a link to the instruction download for the flush mechanism, and why aren't these instructions included with the toilet? Carbuildergirl is correct about the maximum water level in the toilet, but the toilet will still flush well with the bowl water level below it's maximum. With a bowl empty of water, a toilet will still flush to empty, the bowl is filled after the flush and my mechanism is not adjusted to fill the bowl to the "indent" on the inside of the toilet. This creates an almost flat surface inside the bowl that is not covered with water and soils very easily. On my other dual flush toilet, adjusting water level in the bowl is done with a simple thumb wheel...on this toilet the bowl fill adjustment is NOT obvious....the tank fill is, but the bowl fill is not.

are repair/replacement parts readily available?

Posée par: ricki
If necessary, Home depot has all parts that would be needed if a part is missing or broken. The dual flush toilet uses all standard parts, bolts, seal rings, etc. If a bowl or tank is broked on a new commode return it to Home Depot for a replacement.

Do I hold down the flush button for a couple of seconds, then let it go?

Sometimes I have to flush 2 or 3 x for liquid waste which should not happen......When I flush should I push button and let go right away? Like the toilet so far,but sometimes frustrates me when it's supposed to save water....
Posée par: Anonyme
just push and let go .you don't have to stand there

Does this $99.00 option include both pieces, or do I need to buy the tank and/or base separately?

Does this $99.00 option include both pieces, or do I need to buy the tank and/or base separately? It seems to be marketed as an "all in one" package, but the price seems really low for that. Thanks!
Posée par: den2412
den2412, this question was asked over a year ago, hope by now you have gotten an answer but if not then, yes it is a whole toilet, tank/base ect.. I just bought mine two weeks ago, a friend put mine in for me, I did Not have to buy them separate and I couldn't believe the cost was under a hundred dollar's, all i was looking for was a bigger toilet bowl and that was what i wanted, the added feature of two different flush cycles is a really interesting feature, I sure like it.. Worth every dollar to me.
