Rated 3 de 5 de par Would give it five stars if the 3" lag screws... Would give it five stars if the 3" lag screws were up to par. Trust me, they will break whether you use a drill or hand-tighten. I wasted a lot of time with these. If you purchase this product, do yourself a favor and go to the local hardware store and spend the extra $5-$10 on some good lag screws.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Don’t buy unless you’re an engineer-and even then… Obviously all the positive reviews on this product came front people who didn’t actually install it themselves. Clearly designed by someone to whom it looked great on the CAD screen but never did FEA, built or installed it. The “EZ Connect” brackets were the pinnacle of absurdity. Once the 40 lb metal framework is assembled, they expect you to levitate the thing over your head and connect to dangling struts high on the ceiling to magically connect all four corners. Don’t try this at home.

The boxes(3) were missing several of the center vertical support. It appears that they replace them extra vertical corner supports. It was impossible to search their customer service. These my have been the last boxes in their inventory. My installer had to reconfigure the racks based on the parts given. I also recommend that they find a better solution to securing the upper and lower vertical support. The locking pin that they provide is inadequate. It can easily become detached when placing items on the rack.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Strong and sturdy storage solution I am very happy with the sturdiness and the quality of the product. The installation was not easy. I have a pretty tall garage (around 13 feet).. I hired a taskrabbit to get it done. It took the guy 5 hours! And he only could do 1. Having said that, I decided to do the other one myself, spacing it across 4 days. In all it took me 2.5 hours. The hardest part was the last step of hanging the base. I couldn't really get a help and decided to innovate that step. Used a couple of straps to hang the base and screw in the handles. Check out the photos.

How long are the 4 rails that are attached to the ceiling? Do I have to hang this in the middle of the rails? How much space to I "waste", i.e., how far away would this hang from a wall when I hang this in the middle of the rails and the end of the 2 rails is flush with the wall?

Is there 48x48 inches of usable space ? Is it less because of the brackets ?

The brackets are flat and attached in the outside of the platform so it should be fully useable.

What size Lag Bolts come with this product? Given the reviews, would be nice to purchase them up at the same time to avoid another trip.

What is the max distance from the ceiling that the platform can hang? Trying to figure out if I can double up my plastic bins. Thanks!

My rack hangs at the min distance of 21 in between the top of the shelf and the ceiling. It appears that you could get another 12 in - 15 in of clearance depending on how you set up the connections between side struts, which attach at specific places
