Rated 3 de 5 de par I bought this fixture for my living room. First of... I bought this fixture for my living room. First of all no where on the box or on fixture I could find mentioning IC or NIC rated ( insulation or non insulation contact), till I check the manufacturer website and in there they say it is IC rated. But I think if you have an open Attic (with vent to outside air), either you shouldn't use this housing or you have to use a cover box on top of the fixture, because this fixture is not air proof and when you put the light bulb in there is a gap between the bulb and the housing, which is a good way for loosing heat or cold air, and also it is a good pathway for all attic bugs to your house.

Ordered 8 lights and installed all in about an hour including running the wire. Cut hole, ran wire between hole, and wired each light. The eight lights give plenty of light for the 12x24 room. Installed on dimmer switch.

NONE of the three lights worked. When attaching poagainwer to the lights, none of the lights would light. I have to return and pay again for installation.

Rated 5 de 5 de par I installed 3 Globe 4" recessed fixtures in my hobby... I installed 3 Globe 4" recessed fixtures in my hobby area of the basement. The finished ceiling is lower here because of HVAC and had a tight fit in between duct work. The Globe recessed lights worked out great!

Yes, I purchased 2 of them. Worked great. I am not sure about the insulation box. Mine were installed in the eaves where there was no insulation.

Yes, recessed model 90670 can be installed in a 3/4" ceiling and it requires an A19 PAR20/R20 50W bulb - Globe Customer Care

No these are not IC rated. You need to either keep them 3.5 inches away from insulation, or use an insulation box.

Can these be used with LED bulbs and if so do you still need to use an insulation box

This model 90670 can be used with LED bulbs provided the bulbs are par20 and of a 50-Watt incandescent equivalence. If however, there is insulation material near the housing can and are opting to use the halogen bulb then an insulation box should be installed - Globe Customer Care
