Rated 5 de 5 de par Great product This fixture combined with LED Mr-16 bulbs is my go to for landscape lighting. I don't trust the LED spots and their non-replaceable bulbs so I buy these instead. The housings are decent quality and the adjustment screw is a thumbscrew and makes things much easier when aiming. The light itself has a very thick rubber gasket to seal out water and moisture. As far as the electrical "clamp" style connector, it works better than the older style ones and comes apart easy if you have to move them. All in all, a great product and I highly recommend it.

I wanted to mount it on a wall using the threaded adapter which in the store looked like it was STANDARD but is ODD. No where on the box was their any indication that it wasn't 1/2NPT and to figure that part out you have to disassemble it which renders it non returnable. I am a Professional licensed contractor trying to save an elderly person money by going with this cheaper product but in the end it cost me more. How could I charge an elderly home & wheelchair bound person. Typical HD

Rated 5 de 5 de par Beautiful Lights The lights are beautiful. We have gotten so many compliments on them. They were not difficult to install. However, it did take some effort to hide the cord. Wireless lights would be nice, but for the value these lights work well. My husband bought a cement color paste to get cord to lay flat and blend in with the sidewalk. He also hid the cord in the wood planks that separate the cement sidewalk. It's not noticeable unless you are looking for it. We used the 50 watts light bulbs.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Not worth anything if they don't work! This is a very poorly constructed light. You will notice that as soon as you try to plug in one of the bulbs. The plug slot can't be seen when trying to insert bulb as the plug is recessed. Had to send one back. All worked ok for a week and then two bulbs went out. There is some kind of defect where the bulbs plugs in that allows it to move inside covering up the slot where the bulbs plugs in.It's sealed and can't be fixed. I now have two lights that will not allow a bulb to be plugged in. These are going back to store tomorrow!

Rated 4 de 5 de par Great product, just what I wanted! This is a great light. I used it to uplight a crepe myrtle in my front flower bed. It comes with a 50W and a 35W bulb. I used the 35W and it was definitely bright enough. I only gave the product 4 stars because when it arrived one side of the stake was broken. I didn't return it, and it seems stable enough in the ground.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Good quality. Everything worked out of the box. The light was a little heaver and more solid than it appeared to be on the web. A little nicer than the similar light in the store. But basically, ordered what I wanted; got what I ordered - quickly; everything was in the box and it all worked fine out of the box.

Saves energy. The flood lamp is very well built and easy to install. It needs to come with an LED bulb. 7 watt LED is same as 50 watt halogen.

Light bulb

This states its Halogen but comments seem to be saying its LED?
Posée par: Samantha
This specific flood light fixture is 50 watt Halogen. I review the HD Hampton Bay landscape fixtures and determined HD also supply a "equivalent" 50 watt LED fixture. The LED fixture is a lamp assembly and the LED bulb can not be replaced. The 50 watt halogen fixture utilizes a 50 watt MR16 lamp and can be replaced. The illumination output in lumens for the LED is approximately the same as the 50 incandescent Halogen lamp. CRI for both the Halogen and LED light source are compatible in the 3000 Kelvin range. I would personally go with the LED equivalent fixture. Same illumination characteristics, less energy, lower initial cost , lower operational cost same type installation and same quality of illumination. I hope this addresses your question.\

We just bought these flood lights approximately 6-8 mos ago & one of the lights is already out. Can you replace the bulb in these? I'm hoping it's not working because the bulb may be out, although that was pretty quick & the others are still working. My husband said he tried to look for a place to open & replace the bulb but couldn't find a place to open it so he didn't seem to think the bulb could be replaced.

Hi, no worries, you most probably only have a burnt bulb. To verify, just do a simple test: change one of your other bulbs that is working into the one that stopped working and see if it lights up. Use a soft cloth when manipulating the bulb as oil from the skin may damage the bulb. To change a bulb, twist the cap around the lens, then remove the lens and the bulb. You will need a 12V GU4 MR16 type bulb, LED or Halogen that is maximum 50 Watts.

Spot or flood?

Your description says this is a spot light, but the box says it's a flood light. Please advise.
Posée par: Cindy
Can be flood as lense is wide enough but it depends on the bulb you are using.

Is there a blue light replacement bulb

Is there a blue light replacement bulb that I can use for this light? What is the item number or link?
Posée par: Ospell1
I was also looking for blue MR-16 bulbs. I was going to make this into a moon light to uplight trees from below. Traditionally this uses a very blue colored light. Bulbs can be found which are 6000 to 7000k. This would be somewhat blue. This also required throwing away the ground stake and using a 1/2" NPT close coupling to adapt this to a 1/2" pipe flange to be screwed to the tree.

Do I have to replace the whole unit of the prongs to the bulb broke off and still attached to the light unit?

Posée par: Chris
Did you try to remove the broken prong with needle nose pliers. If you can't pull it out, you will have to buy a new fixture.

Does that "shield" rotate? I want to be able to rotate it to the side so that it blocks "light trespass" towards my neighbor's house. As it shows in the picture, it would block it from above, but not to the side.
Posée par: MML2050
It moves up and down, not side to side
