Rated 4 de 5 de par very quiet Overall I am pleased with this product, but I question the square footage coverage. They claim it should be fine for 1900 to 2400 sq ft. area but my home is only about 1000 sq ft and it's only keeping the humidity between 28 to 37 which is okay for me. I'm using about 8-9 gal. per day. I fine it easy to operate and fill. It is much quieter than my old 6 yr old model of another make.

Rated 1 de 5 de par AVOID THIS! Buying filters will cost you a fortune Bought in 2014 and came with a filter that was very durable (got about 2 months of good use, and still partially wick water). Since then the filters have decreased in quality and material...the new ones only get about 2-3 weeks of good use and stop working entirely in less than a month. DON'T BUY! You will spent more in filters over the course of a winter then you will for this machine.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Wick will not wick. We have had this a few weeks now and found it works great for one day then on the second or 3rd day the wicking on the filter stops, it dries out and there is almost no evaporation. An engineering failure. I'm sorry to say it's going back. HD should take it off their shelves.

Rated 3 de 5 de par Very Disappointing Filters A word of caution about this humidifier. I bought mine many months ago and have been completely satisfied with it until recently, when I discovered that Honeywell no longer uses the same filter that originally came with it. The E filter that you have to buy for it is called a wicking filter. It originally came encased in a blue fabric that held it together, and lasted many months of usage. The new filter no longer has this fabric outer. I use my humidifier daily (approx. 12 hours) and the filter has only lasted about 2 weeks before separating at the glue joint that keeps it together. I contacted Honeywell and this information has been passed along to their product development team. In the meantime, I am considering buying a glue gun to repair the filter so that I can get longer usage out of it. The box says it will last 1-2 months. Since Boxing Day (it is now Jan.26th), two of these filters have split apart on me. If you have any issues with yours, let them know.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Great product! Purchased this model winter of 2014 (so this is 2nd winter). Read the other reviews... Yes, it's a bit large (but that's why you are looking at it right?) Yes, it has two water tanks... Perfect. It draws from the one till empty, then the other. This makes re-filling easier. I don't know why others are stating that they are having difficulties filling. Mine fits in the back right corner of my kitchen sink and stays there. Never moves. I also fill with RO (reverse osmosis) water. I've never had to replace the wicking filter.. yet. Gave it a good cleaning before this season, a little bleach to clean it, the tanks, and the tray. All good. Very clean. I keep mine in the kitchen as it is central to the houe. Put the ceiling fan on low and voila! nice distribution. 40 - 42% humidity is constant. As our home has more leaks in it that swiss cheese, I have to fill a tank about every 12 - 14 hours. Remember: When first starting... it can take 1 - 2 days to stabilize your home. EVERYTHING in it will absorb water... floors, furniture, walls, and everything else. Let it do it's job. You won't be sorry. (Yes, the colder it get's outside.. you will need to lower the humidity a little or you will have condensation on the windows etc. It's physics people. No evil plan or defective product.)

Rated 3 de 5 de par Great...when it's not driving me crazy When this machine works well, it is one of the best humidifiers I have owned (and I have owned many). However, there are two key problems, which have been documented by others. 1. The water canisters are made cheaply and I have already broken 2 when they have fallen in the tub while filling up. 2. They are advertised as extremely quiet, however, I have discovered that some of them are quiet...and some of them are not quiet at all because of buzzing and vibration. My first one was extremely quiet, but I exchanged it because the canister broke, and it took me 3 replacements before I could find another as quiet for the reasons mentioned above. If Honeywell can improve the quality of the plastic and workmanship, this will have me as a loyal customer.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Great Product After trying 2 others that had noise issue and poor output this one doing the job very well. Shut down the first nite ran out of water. The next morning came right back up to 40%. Also other kind put out a white powder that can plug your furnace filter. It did it to mine.

Rated 5 de 5 de par I had tried several other humidifiers but none of them worked well to humidify my 1000 sq. ft. apartment. This one works well, and is quiet enough to not bother me even though it is in the same room as me watching tv.

How often do I need to clean this unit (if I run it with medium settings nonstop)?

Do I need to clean the tanks as well, if I am refilling them every 2 days with tap water (that obviously has chlorine in it)?

Hello! We recommend that you clean the Honeywell Cool Moisture Console Humidifier regularly as it is needed. We do not have a time or usage recommendation as there are many factors such as water quality, run time and speeds the humidifier is set to. Thank you.

    Posée par: Anonyme
Hello! To clean and replace the filter on the Honeywell Cool Moisture Console Humidifier, please follow these steps: 1. Unplug the humidifier and remove the water tanks and motor housing. 2. Remove the filter from the base. 3. Empty any water from the base. 4. Fill the base with 1c of white vingar and let sit for 20 minutes. 5. Clean surfaces with vinegar and soft cloth. Rinse the base thoroughly with water. 6. Fill the water tank with 1 teaspoon of bleach and 1 gallon of water. 7. Let stand 20 minutes then rinse thoroughly. 8. Place new filter. I hope this is what you are looking for. Thank you.

I have issues with my humidifier, do I return it to the store or do I call Honeywell?

Unit needs to be jiggled to get it to run. The power to the whole unit appears to be off, after jiggling it will start to run and is sometimes very noisy, sometimes not. Unit does this whether the tanks are full or empty.

there is a plastic float in the bottom tray. when there is water present the float will rise and make a connection in the fan portion of the unit. this float needs to move freely. my guess is it needs cleaning and is sticking which is why you need to jiggle your machine
