Rated 4 de 5 de par Just what I needed This was my first compressor purchase and really like this little 8 gallon comp. I haven't had the need for a compressor much but think I will be starting to use it more. I made all my connections with Teflon tape and I also ran the break in changed the oil and ran it again. I then changed the oil and it was ready to go. Assembly was very simple. The only con I find is they don't include information on how to adjust the pressure. I am new to owning compressors but not new to them. just thought they should give more info for the newbie since this really is a entry level compressor This is a very good compressor for only $99.99. Cant beat it.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Seems to be a good deal. Just picked this unit up today while it was on sale, so too early to tell about it's durability. Unit was easy to assemble, just put on the wheels, attach the handle, and fill with oil (which was included). I followed the break-in guidelines, so hopefully that will help. Unit is fairly small and lightweight, so should be easy to take wherever I need. Only tinkered with it today, operated my finish nailer and brad nailer and inflated some tires with no problem. Maybe I'm wrong, but I like the idea of an oiled compressor, just seems to me the motor will last longer. Motor is not as noisy as I expected, filled the tank to 125 psi in less than 2 minutes on initial start-up.

Rated 2 de 5 de par Does not work when it's cool outside It does not work when it is cold - cold means below 60 deg. When the weather is cool, the motor will turn, but then bog down and stop. One can cycle thru power on/off attempts, and with patience and luck, sometimes it will run, if not too cold (above 40 deg). But the tank has to be unpressured; if under pressure, my guess is that it needs to be above 60 deg. A hassle since one spends 15 min getting the tool to work when one has work to do. I thought mine was broken at first, but then I saw other reviews with same problem. The warranty is structured so that it is not a viable option, of course. Other than it not working half the year, it is fine.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Nice little compressor Impressive $99.00 price for a compressor that has a real pump that uses oil, not one of those cheap throwaway oilless pumps. With proper maintenance, you should be able to get years of use out of this one. All the safety features of the larger more expensive models. 8 gallons of air is not a lot, but , should fill most every homeowner's / backyard mechanics needs. Bought this one for work to have around as a simple to operate and portable unit for those times the office folks need it. Definitely going to pick one up for the house too. Only drawback, no accessories came with it, so you will need to pickup a hose and whatever fittings/accessories you might need.

Rated 5 de 5 de par One year later and still going strong! My compressor has seen moderate use for the last year with no issues whatsoever. The compressor had no problem keeping up with my framing nailer, brad gun, stapler, or any other tasks, and the regulator (pretty standard) works fine. MAKE SURE YOU FOLLOW THE BREAK-IN PROCEDURE! I ran through extra cycles during break-in (kept going until there were no visible filings in the oil, and there were a LOT at first) and filled it with a synthetic oil. If you don't, you'll have a hundred-dollar doorstop. If I could change one thing, I'd add a taller handle because this one is too low for me (I'm 6' 3"). Great compressor, especially at this price!

Rated 5 de 5 de par Works great Purchased this today, ran it for the required 10 min break in period. It is replacing my old CH 3gal oil less comp that died a couple of months ago. Pumped up the tires on the boat trailer, they were low from sitting and needed about 30 PSI each to get up to the recommended 60 PSI, compressor kicked on while pumping up the second tire. The pressure started to build up in the compressor as I was filling the tire. With the old CH compressor I would have to stop filling the tire until the pressure built up. It is a lot quieter than the old CH. Extremely happy with the Husky right now. Time will tell if it was a good investment.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Less than a minute recovery! This compressor is really an awesome compressor for $99. It recovers in less than a minute. It will work great for airing up tires airbrush running multiple nail guns but if you're planning on using impact tools for automotive repair forget about it. I would highly recommend breaking it in and then changing the oil with high quality oil. It draws a lot of amps so if your running anything off of the same circuit you will almost certainly pop the breaker. Be very cautious of using extension cords it is best to directly plug this unit into the wall if you must use an extension cord you better go with a very high gauge like 14 gauge 50 foot 12 gauge hundred foot or greater.

Rated 5 de 5 de par My apologies I wrote a bad review for this air compressor but found out the problem was not the compressor. It would start to pump but then lock up and hum like it didn't have enough power. After a few tries and it warmed up it would run. I called the manufacturer and complained. They sent new parts and the problem persisted. I did some checking and found out the outlet I had it plugged into had a poor connection. It had enough voltage but wouldn't deliver the amps the compressor needed. Once I corrected the outlet the air compressor hums like a dream. My fault. Sorry for the bad review. I love this little air compressor. Perfect for around the house and the small home shop. 5 stars.

I'm interested in buying an air compressor #TA-2530B Husky 8 gallon unit. can you tell me what accessories this comes with?

Posée par: tk
It comes with zero accessories. It is a good unit and worth the money. You can buy quality accessories rather than use the cheap junk provided for "free" with other lower quality air compressors.

How does this compare to the Kobalt 8 gallon air compressor?

Posée par: ahnjimc
I had a husky before this one it lasted about 8 yrs of low to moderate usage. I used it for framing and roofing nailers. The switch went out and it cost more to repair than buy a new one so I bought another one. This compressor so far works very well.

My compressor is new and will not build up more that 10 lbs of pressure. What could be the cause of this and what do you recommend?

Posée par: Henry
Make sure the drain on bottom of tank is closed tight, also check all fitting for leaks. If none of that takes care of the problem, my next idea would be bad o-rings in the piston and for that I would return it to Homedepot for replacement. I have never had that problem with the one I have.

Break In Oil

Posée par: Mike
The compressor comes with a container of oil. The manufacturer recommends you use it. They also give you a procedure for break in. I would not recommend starting out with a synthetic. You can dump the oil after break in, but follow the manufacturers recommendations for replacement oil. I would put a couple of hours of run time before switching to a synthetic oil. The rings will seat better and quicker with conventional oils

How many minutes does it take to fill up, is it noisy.

Posée par: Mike
Mine takes around 3 minutes to get to pressure, and will kick on every 7 minutes or so while doing non-stop nailing or painting. Yes, it's noisy. I keep earplugs in to protect my hearing.

What size outlet does this unit have (Husky 8 gal, 1.5 HP)

Posée par: Huntspatch
If you're asking about the air outlet, I believe it to be 1/4 NPT. I don't have the unit in front of me, nor do I have the manual. It should state the air outlet connection size.

Why does my compressor lose air when it is charged and not used?

Posée par: PatM57
I would suggest either to first disconnect the hoses to be certain. If problem still persists I,d spray a light oil or water spray around any external air travel passages when tank is full-which should then show bubbles at any air leakage spots.
