Rated 4 de 5 de par HITCH WRENCH....WITH A COUPLE OF HITCHES [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] At eighteen (18) inches long, this box-end combination wrench ( 1-1/8” and 1 – ½”) should give you all the leverage you need to tighten the retaining nut on your trailer hitch ball…as long as you can get the wrench on the nut…more on that in a bit. Made in China, this “flank-drive” combination box-end wrench is targeted at the trailer hitch crowd, with 1-1/8 inch and 1-1/2 inch ends for torquing the typical hitch ball mount. Quality could be improved in several areas; one, merely cosmetic, the “unfinished” areas the wrench have a non-uniform, mottled finish. The other, of more concern, is the non-concentricity of the wrench openings, resulting in (on the wrench examined) a significant variation in the amount of “meat” surrounding the wrench on the smaller end (see photo). This lack of material at this location could lead to failure of the wrench when used, as the size of the nut being torqued and the 18 inch lever arm provided by the wrench will result in large stresses in use. The larger end (1-1/2inch) appeared to be properly centered and will, no doubt, adequately perform. While the tool carries a “forever” guarantee, which will replace a failed tool, fracture of the wrench in use could result in possible injury. If you have any accessory devices attached to your hitch (a step, for example, see photo) you may find it impossible to fully seat the wrench on the securing nut, which could result in slipping off or damage to, the nut, especially with the rounded, flank-drive lobes. In summary; if you have a need for frequently changing hitch balls and you do not have any auxiliary devices mounted to the hitch (impeding access to the nut), AND you carefully examine the wrench to ensure concentricity of the wrench openings this could be a cost effective choice if one is careful not to exceed the limits of the tool.

Rated 1 de 5 de par no Old hitch got old and started rusting out so I decided to replace. Normally would use exapandle wrench or slip joint pliers to put together. This time I thought why not, buy a dedicated wrench to replace the hitches on the trucks. I honestly don't know if it is the manufacturer or home depot, but why would you market a wrench that doesn't fit the nut to attach the ball. if I could give negative stars I would

It fits very loose on the bolt (sloppy) and one may be better off with an adjustable wrench. Check how the hex teeth fit on the corners of the bolt.
