Rated 5 de 5 de par Simple and durable My backyard has a 30-40 year old timer already(same model, same design) and its still working strong. It ticks a little louder than the new one I just installed, but only if you head is next to it. The new one is very quiet. The design is simple, and everything is sturdy. The main component comes off very easily with a snap at the top. Remove, install box on the wall, then snap it back in. Basically I connected the line from the breaker to the Neutral and Line screws, then connected the Load(my two front lights) to the Load and Neutral screws. Ground to ground. took 15 mins. Setting the timer and the on and off switches took seconds. Highly recommend for this application! And I know very little about electricity. Of course turn off the power before working with it ;) Thanks, HD!

The install is pretty straight forward and to set the time is a snap. That is where the good in this product ends. To turn off or on manually it cannot be anywhere close to the most recent clip you have already set. If you want more time after it has already turn off you have to move the clock face by an hour or more to do so. Also the box is no where near weather proof or resistant. it actually has openings big enough for wasps to enter and set up shop inside it. This item was so bad compared to the older GE model that i spent the time to repair the GE one and re-install it back into service and returned this item.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Perfect for Pools Bought this as a replacement for Tork 1101. Easy to install and runs quiet. You can buy addtional trippers to add additional on/off cycles. Easy enough to install with basic wiring knowledge.

Rated 2 de 5 de par worked ok - for awhile I installed 1 of these ~10 years ago for my sprinkler pump. Used it rarely, prolly less than once a month overall. It worked ok. The other day I switched on my sprinkler pump & it made this BZZZZZ noise. Uh-oh! Since the pump was >20 years old & had a gasket leak last year, I figgered it was locked up / frozen / dead. So I got a brand new pump & hooked up the power. Testing 1-2-3...BZZZZ. Ah geez. An electrician bud told me how the wires should read volt-wise...& they looked hokay. WTF?! The only thing between the breaker & the pump was this Intermatic T101. So I bypassed it. And we're pumpy again...yay! My goof was ASSuming that a timer like this works sorta kinda permanently. Nope.

Have installed 6 of them on my properties. Timer either stays on or stays off. Have spent thousands of dollars on electricians. If you buy it, good luck.

Rated 5 de 5 de par reliable as heck I bought this to replace one that had failed after 43 years. It even snapped into the same housing. From the looks of the construction, I'm guessing that this one should last as long. Very well built.

if eletricty goes off will it automatically program the way it was or will i have to program it again

Posée par: Kate
As the clock restarts after power returns, the program timed settings resume as before. However if you wish the program to restart at the previous time of day/night, you will have to reset the time dial to the current time.

does the on off switch suppost to stay on
Posée par: chuck
Hello, the on/off lever will move back and forth on its own when the time dial turns, the on/off trippers will move it. The on/off lever can also be used a manual override. Please call us if you have any questions, thank you! 815-675-7000

The timer part of my intermatic t-100 timer stopped working..I can manually turn it on/off with the lever...is this repairable or do I need to replace

I checked the timer dogs and they were on tight...
Posée par: Wayne
A motor replacement should restore operation, look on the rear of the mechanism for a metal part with a number starting in "WG", this is the motor/part number that you will need to order. Note that the numbers after the dash (example WG1573-5) may vary, the first part of the part number is what is important (WG1573-anything will work).

I want to use this as a dedicated timer for outlets for outdoor decor like x-mas lights. Is this possible?

I want to use this as a dedicated timer for 4 or 5, 15 or 20 amp outdoor outlets for outdoor decor like x-mas lights. All outlets in turn would be on a dedicated breaker. Is this possible? Is this safe? Is there a cheaper or better way to get all my lights to come on and turn off at the exact same time on a residential level?
Posée par: TheHelpfulNeighbor
Only if the timer is in a protective enclosure as it's not weatherproof
