Rated 5 de 5 de par Impressed with this product My husband and I looked for sheds for some time. This one came on sale and seemed to fit the bill so we bought it. It took both of us 7 hours to put it together with a little help from our son here and there as roof is much easier to put together with three people. The instructions could have been a little clearer but really, was pretty easy to figure out. We did an inventory count before we started and everything was there. Shed is up now and we can't wait to fill it. It looks awesome. Will definitely keep an eye on it if we have heavy snow but live in Vancouver area so don't usually get too much to worry about. Would for sure recommend buying this product based on price and ease to assemble. Time will tell if it holds up well but for now, we are happy with our purchase.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Flimsy, not rodent proof!!!!!! Bought this shed as I needed one in short notice, and the one I wanted was not in stock. Poured concrete pad, started to assemble it and panels were missing! 2-1/2 hrs later they robbed a box of the panels I needed. (At another Home Depot on the other side of Durham region!). Finally finished assembling it, double door does not close tightly. Roof did not hold weight of snow(started sagging) had to clear snow off after every snow fall! Open it in the spring and found mouse droppings in the shed!!!!!!! Would not recommend this shed to anyone! I wish Home Depot would take it back!

Rated 1 de 5 de par ejjohnson bought this shed in the fall of 2012.We were very happy with it. Had it at a seasonal site in the Muskokas.Unfortunately the winter of 2013-14 was a very harsh one and this shed can not take the heavy snow load. Would not recommend this for anyone that cannot get access to it in the winter to remove the snow. Unfortunately the guarantee doesn't cover any of this damage. Mine looked very much like the other one that was flattened.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Not made for Canadian winters Bought this shed last spring and thought I was getting a good deal. However it did not survive ice damming or a heavy snow load and the roof collapsed in March 2014. Do your research. Thought I had.

Rated 3 de 5 de par Summit Shed Assembly was quite easy when you follow the instructions.... there were 2 of us, than a 3rd. Took approx. 6 - 7 hours, as we were dealing with wind and some rain. The instruction manual was one of the best I have ever seen. As for the quality of the shed, everything fit quite well, but I do question the value for the money spent. Framing was good, but the wafer type walls and roof I do question, especially the roof.... now I see why the people who had snow on them lost them. Guess that will be job one in the winter. Drop the price, and I would rate it a 5

Rated 1 de 5 de par WILL NOT HANDLE CANADIAN SNOW LOADS BOUGHT SHED LAST JUNE 2013 PLACED IT ON A SEASONAL SITE COLLASPED DURING THE WINTER WARRANTY STATES YOU MUST CLEAN SNOW OFF ROOF REGULARLY EXPENSIVE LESSON TO LEARN

Rated 1 de 5 de par Not Meant For Canadian Winters... Purchased and installed last spring at our cottage lot in south-east Quebec and when we returned this spring we found the shed had collapsed under the snow load. Unless you plan on removing the snow often, this shed will not stand up to a Canadian winter. Expensive lesson learned...

what kind of base should be used with a vinyl storage shed that has a floor?

We put ours on our driveway. Nice and level. It collapsed under heavy snow during its first winter.

    whats it made of

is it vinyl or metal...I just thought the doors were reinforced metal
    Posée par: Anonyme
The whole shed is plastic. The walls are the kind of plastic they use for real estate signs. The only metal parts are the screws. Doors are harder plastic than the walls.

    How Long to assemble?

There are no reviews for the summit shed. Has anyone actually assembled one of these? If so, how long did it take, with how many people & what was the degree of difficulty? Thanks!
    Posée par: Anonyme
The shed will probably take you 4-6 hrs to put together; however, you first have to create a level platform for the shed to go on, which is very important especially if you want the warranty to be valid! Your home depot service centre should be able to give you specs for the wood and plywood needed.
