Rated 5 de 5 de par Very happy with our double oven Beautful oven with useful features and quality performance. My wife made a Thanksgiving-style turkey to test it out, and not only was it done earlier than expected, but it was probably the juciest turkey I've ever had. I believe this was made possible by the temp probe, which was fairly easy to operate. Another great feature is how cool the front is when its on - our toddler puts his hands on everything, including this oven, and I have confidence he won't get burned because the door and the glass don't get hot. Overall we are thrilled and have no qualms with this oven. We've had it for a few weeks and used it probably 10 times.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Love my new wall oven I have only used my wall oven a few times because I also bought the convection microwave from Kitchenaid, so that gets used most often. I use the wall oven when I have to bake something too large to fit in the microwave. I love this oven because it is so efficient and holds heat so well. It only takes about 5 minutes to heat up to 400+ degrees, which I love as all my other ones typically take at least 9-10 minutes. Also, once this unit reaches temperature, it is so well insulated that it hardly radiates any heat in the kitchen, to the point I can touch the glass window on the door. Best wall over for the price!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased this last November 2019 after our 11 year old KitchenAid Steam assist wall oven had to be replaced because they no longer could replace the control board. What a LOSS!! Loved the steam assist oven! It was our work horse! Worked beautifully, and was QUIET! This one is a NIGHTMARE! DO NOT BUY!! REPEAT!! DO NOT BUY, RUN AWAY IF IT IS OFFERED TO YOU!! It is soooooooo NOISY. We told the salesman we did not want anything noisy, we had seen reviews of some models have a problem with noise. THIS IS NOT SOMEWHAT! IT SCARES PEOPLE! WILL NOT BUY ANOTHER KITCHEN AID PRODUCT or purchase from same place again!!!

I have never had to do anything other than turn them on to a temperature, and they would work flawlessly. However, with these KitchenAid ovens, it has been a constant battle to get them to get to and stay on the temperature that I've set them. It is maddening. I am sorely disappointed in their quality. I've called the 800 number 3 different times, had a technician out to my house, calibrated the ovens 3 times, and still they do not work properly. I would stay away from this product if at all possible. I am an excellent cook, but using these ovens has been a nightmare.

Rated 3 de 5 de par Looks sharp, but forget getting anything cooked on the bottom! These ovens look amazing. However, the cooking temps are questionable. #1 My convection oven on top needs to be set to the original temp on the recipe. If i "convert" the recipe, the food never cooks. #2 the heat comes from the TOP. I have never had an oven where the only heat source is on top. We make a pizza every Friday and its impossible to get it to cook nicely on the bottom before the cheese burns. Have been playing with temps and time, but I never had a problem with my 15 year old simple oven I had before. Besides that, I make it work. And did I mention it looks amazing????

A little web research will show that this is a common failure. Whirlpool (Kitchenaide) will not admit to the issue and after 3 service visits and an appointment that they cancelled after I waited all day, we have not had a working oven for over a month. We made Christmas dinner on the barbi and still are trying to get the unit repaired. They did not use high-temp wire insulation above the upper oven and cable tied it to the metal structure. It appears that these wires melted during the self-cleaning cycle.

Christmas Day my 4 month old oven "went out" in the midst of cooking Christmas dinner! When the oven gets too hot--I was cooking a tenderloin that required the stove to be on 500 degrees-- the high heat shuts the circuit board down and the oven is DEAD! ( I've cooked this recipe many times in my old oven without any issues) I waited to 2 weeks for the part--o shoot, wrong part! So another part was ordered--another 2 weeks!! Its crazy! How do you clean the oven--doesnt that have to be a high temp??? Soo expect a dirty, malfunctioning expensive oven !

Replaced a 15 year old perfectly working fine Whirlpool double oven with this oven when we remodeled our kitchen 6 months ago. This unit looks great however, it takes forever to cool down and causes the floor to become warm in front of it. The worst part is that on Thanksgiving Day it suddenly turns off with the error code F2E1 and an alert that the keyboard failed! We googled it and it turns out this is a pretty common problem of the ovens overheating and blowing the board. We reset our circuit breaker and still nothing! Lots of steam started coming out causing condensation too. This is completely unacceptable for a 6 month old $2500 appliance to go bad this quickly. After holding for 40 minutes trying to get someone to answer at Kitchenaid customer service the first appointment available isn't for a week. Not happy.

Do you see the sides after installation

We just installed this oven and it doesn't look like the pictures on their website. The entire thing sticks out a little over an inch. It looks like it's installed correctly, but we can see the black sides and frame. Are there trim pieces for the side? What does yours look like?

I have questions about this too. According to the answer from KitchenAid, the black flanges sit against the cabinet face frame and are fastened to it with screws. But there is a 7/8" gap between the black flange and the back of the door. If what they're saying is true, that means that there will be almost an inch of the "side" of the door exposed after installation, which isn't ver attractive. Am I missing something? How does the flush mount trim kit overcome this?

This question is for anyone who actively uses the oven to cook things with high moisture content like vegetables, meatballs, roasts, raw/not previously cooked items. Are you able to cook these types of items that generate a lot of steam when you open the door (or leave it closed), without the steam messing up the controls/throwing errors/shutting off? I have this model and am getting it replaced under warranty. I am trying to figure out if I just had a bad unit and people use this oven without the same experience as me. I understand some people have had same problem. My focus is if anyone has NOT had this problem. Thanks!

Yes, I have absolutely had this problem and am glad to see your question. I've had the fan and computer replaced once under warranty, and am currently calling again (I got the extended warranty because of this problem). The steam vent is directly under the computer (bad design, as far as I'm concerned) and so the computer condenses and turns off. Then you have to flip the breaker to get it to turn back on. It is a major pain. I would never recommend this oven for anyone who cooks, especially if you tend to host holidays or parties and do a lot of cooking.

I have owned my kitchen aid double wall oven since 2007 the first time i used the self cleaning function the bottom oven no longer would operate. When I contacted kitchen aid they told me the same thing they told you...after going online to investigate on my own i found literally at least 1500 complaints back then regarding the same issue. it is a defect in kitchen aid ovens and thankfully i bought from a private appliance store and they were very familiar with the problem and installed a different fan (I believe it was more powerful) in the oven so it would not happen anymore. I had to pay for that and feel kitchen aid should have covered it as they are clearly aware of their defect. After that was installed I had no complaints with my oven and today searching for a new oven, as mine just stopped functioning and not worth fixing at this point, i was going to buy this oven but was shocked to see your comment and find after 11 years they are still having the same issue and not caring enough to fix it.

Is there a way to preheat the Oven in convection mode? Currently, it asks for a cooking time and it starts automatically when it hits the preheat temperature...many convection recipes call for oven to be preheated prior to putting the food in.
