Rated 1 de 5 de par DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!!!!! KitchenAid has made serious design mistakes with this product. On... DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!!!!! KitchenAid has made serious design mistakes with this product. One of the key features, the Turbo setting for rapid boiling of water, consistently blows out the electronics for the right side of the unit. There is NO MENTION of this flaw in the documentation, in spite of the fact that KitchenAid has been aware of this problem for years. Their failure to forewarn consumers is a serious breach of faith, in my view. I believe there are numerous feature-equivalent and better designed induction cooktops on the market, and that any consumer would be best served to evaluate them before exposing themselves to this shoddy design and the uncaring customer service that backs it up.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Sorry I bought this product. Do not recommend [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have been using this for two weeks and had to buy all new cookware. First, one of the elements wouldn't stay on and when we had a technician come to fix it we discovered that each element requires a pan with a bottom surface the size of the element for it to work. A wok doesn't keep on the element as the bottom surface area is too small. Plus in the first week, while moving a pan off it's element, the surface scratched. That seems ridiculous since we are using approved cookware. You need to know what you are getting into.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Please dont buy this product and even any product Please dont buy this product and even any product of Kitchen-aid. I bought this product one year back. in this one year ,it had burned two time..While it was burnt ,my family was unable to cook in our kitchen for 2 months .It happened during both times.. Eventually ,i used this cooktop 8 months with fair that when it will go off...and it happened when 3rd time two burners burnt again. this time Kitchenaid was done with their warrenty.. For theses companies, it is very easy to say that our warrenty is over...but we customers have to face their irresponsibilities.. Please dont buy this product and even any product of Kitchen-aid.

Rated 1 de 5 de par This cooktop is completely unreliable [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This cooktop is great... WHEN IT WORKS! Unfortunately, it already broke down on me two times in 8 months. Each time, I was left without a cooktop for weeks. Now I am stuck with this thing in which I have zero confidence, and just wait for it to break down a third time. Do yourself a favor: don't buy this unit. Don't get me wrong: I love it when it works. It does everything an induction cooktop is supposed to do, and very well. Let me add that all my appliances are Kitchenaid, so I have nothing against this brand. But this particular unit was clearly not ready for primetime. Maybe in a few years, after the engineers have come up with a new version of the same unit, it will be ready. But right now, it is unreliable.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Simply Amazing [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wasn't sure I was going to like induction cooking ( I gave an expensive set of cookware away when I got this cooktop) but I can tell you it's BETTER than cooking on any other cooktop INCLUDING GAS. Induction cooking heats ONLY the cookware so things heat instantly and evenly and when you shut it off, it's OFF with no remaining radiant heat like all other stoves. And since the surface doesn't get hot, spilled foods simply wipe off. This is the only way to cook...

Rated 1 de 5 de par KitchenAid® 30-Inch 4-Element Induction Cooktop, Architect® [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would NOT recommend buying this stove at all. We had this stove delivered and installed by Jenaire. At first we thought what a great stove. However the stove broke down within a week to month of use and was replaced not one, not two but four times. After the 4th time that the unit was replaced we gave up and decided to buy a completely different brand. We went with a Bosch. To this day we love the Bosch and have had no difficulties with it.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Great Temperature Control (This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This is our 2nd Kitchenaid Induction cooktop. We have always had gas stoves and liked that we could adjust the temperature so quickly but did not like how difficult it was to clean the cooktop. When we built our new house we decided to try a Kitchenaid 36" Induction cooktop and we loved it. It has the same ability to control the temperature as a gas stove and the glass cooktop is a breeze to clean. When we decided to move again we chose the 30" Induction Cooktop. It boils water so quickly, able to control the temperature and is easy to clean.

Rated 5 de 5 de par 100 % satisfied [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had the 30 inch Induction cooktop for three months and are 100% satisfied. We are pleased with the mix and layout of small and large cooking elements. We have never once been unable to use one of the elements due to size constraints: the larger elements are big enough and we have no trouble using our smaller pots and pans on the larger elements. The cooktop is easy to keep clean as overflows do not heat, then stick. Controls are well laid out and are simple to understand and use. The elements are powerful and heat up quickly.

Does the pan size always need to be larger than the burner size? i.e. our wok is 5-1/2"

Posée par: pete
No, any pan will work on any burner. If the pan is larger than the burner, it may not heat it all the way to the edge.

What are the dimensions of the box because I need to ship to Australia and am constrained by size and weight? I believe it weighs about 20KG?
Posée par: Peter
Hello Peter, We always recommend purchasing an appliance in the country you will be using it in. This is to make sure you have a valid warranty on the appliance and that you are meeting proper safety and electrical requirements.

Read that main circuit board shorts out & is costly to replace. How often does this happen?
