Rated 5 de 5 de par Great shower but plumber could not install correctly even with directions We replaced a tub shower with this shower and we wanted a good size seat as knee surgery created problems with tub. The seat is great for sitting down and using hand shower. I gave the directions to the plumber the day before and explained that this was different than standard shower installation. The directions were clear to me and if I had the strength, I would have done it myself. my suggestion - get a good plumber who can read.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Nice looking shower pan Installation instructions do not cover variables like uneven floors. Our basement sub floor slopes almost an inch in 8'. I mixed up some mortar and made 10-12 piles about 2-3" high. I then laid a piece of vinyl over those and slid the pan in on a couple of 2x4's. We gently lowered the shower pan in and pressed in down until it was level. I let the mortar dry and then attached the pan to the studs. It is now very stable and firm feeling

Rated 5 de 5 de par Excellent Shower Receptor After much research we settled on the Tresham 60" x 36" shower receptor. This thing is as sturdy as a rock! No nasty flexing like basic fiberglass and acrylic is much better looking and much more stain resistant. Looking forward to years of usage!

Rated 4 de 5 de par I would recommend this shower base to anyone looking for a 1 piece shower pan. It was delivered t... I would recommend this shower base to anyone looking for a 1 piece shower pan. It was delivered to the store in about 2 weeks. Installed easily after figuring out the base was not cut square on the bottom. I was surprised to see how the bottom edge was cut (see picture). Take extra time to check the bottom edges for square it will save you a ton of time dry fitting. Turned out great with the tiled walls. If it fit my rough opening out of the box I would give it a 5 out of 5.

The only thing that is stopping me from giving it 5 stars is that I measured the opening at 60 inches and ordered a 60 in base. It wouldn't fit. Measured the base and it's 60.75 inches. That .75 inches made it difficult to fit, but with some minor adjustments to the studs I was able to make it fit.

The seat seems extremely strong. I am 230lbs and I have stood on mine several times to work on the ceiling above the shower. I don’t think anyone would have any issues sitting on it for any reason.

I had the same concern. But looking at the 360 degree photos I see that what looks like a cavity is just a slight recess. It should be easy to clean.

Can the Kohler Tresham 60x36 in Recptor With Seat be installed with tile walls?

The shower stall must be screwed to the studs. Then firring strips need to be added to the studs. The cement board is then attached to the firring strips- taking note of the proper lengthl The tiles are set slighty lower that the cement board. This covers the flange and allows you to caulk the shower in a out of site place

I've seen 3 or 4 different answers to this question on the internet and it's made me bonkers. We just measured ours. The height of the seat from the shower floor is 15 7/8". I think the higher measurements I've seen in answer to this question (or on spec sheets) must be measuring from the bottom edge of the the shower base (which sits on the floor), not from where your feet are in the shower when you sit down. If you're standing in the shower, the seat is 15 7/8" from the shower floor to the top of the seat. If an elderly person is to use the shower, I would suggest a horizontal grab bar to assist with standing and a least one vertical bar to hang onto when standing. Make sure the grab bars are at a comfortable height. There are guidelines available with diagrams showing how to set up a shower for someone who is handicapped or elderly.

Hi Larry, this is Sarah with Kohler Co. I'm glad to answer your question. You must first position 2” (5.1 cm) to 2-1/2” (6.4cm) mounds of floor-leveling compound at the receptor feet. Then, immediately position a piece of polyethylene sheet on the subfloor. Next, position the receptor in the stud pocket. Press and level the receptor into position. Drill 1/8” (3 mm) holes through the flange at the studs. 9 Use screws to secure the flange to the studs. Use shims as needed. Thank you for choosing KOHLER.
