Rated 3 de 5 de par Lots of Unanticipated Issues I chose this toilet because it was the highest rated one by Consumer Reports. FIRST MAJOR ISSUE: Home Depot has this bowl and tank combo in their online inventory. But they listed it as NOT AVAILABLE! However, the same bowl and tank could be purchased from Home Depot SEPARATELY, but at a significantly higher price! When I called a Home Depot representative to complain, she confirmed that what I was stating was true. But she did not know why? She was kind enough to provide a discount that lowered the price of the two items down to around the cost of the “complete” toilet. The two boxes were to delivered to my home on Sunday. The driver was supposed to call me 30-minutes before delivery so that I would be prepared. I asked that it left in the driveway so that I could use my two-wheel hand truck to bring the boxes into my garage. This was GREAT! I am 74 years old and didn’t want to lift those boxes. SECOND ISSUE: Instead, the boxes were delivered on Saturday to my front door (which had a number of steps leading into the house). Also there was no phone call by the driver. I had to pick up the two boxes and manually bring them up the stairs into my home. I am glad I did not hurt myself. So, instead of the toilet bowl and tank being placed in the garage for the plumber to bring into the bathroom, it sat in my living room! THIRD ISSUE: I had ensured that the original toilet’s bolts were 12-inches from the wall, which meets the stated requirements for this bowl. However, there is a baseboard heating system lining the wall behind the toilet. I was not aware that the design of the bowl required its curved “back” to be much closer to the wall than most other toilet bowls. When the old toilet was removed, the new bowl could not fit on the bolts with the baseboard heating system in place. I was NOT willing to remove the baseboard heating. However, the plumber told me that the old toilet flange had to be replaced (a costly extra that I had not counted upon). This is NO FAULT of the KOHLER bowl (or any other bowl). But is it something to consider when replacing a bowl that has been in place for a significant number of years. The plumber thought that the new flange might be adjusted to enable the KOHLER bowl to fit. We waited another day without having this toilet until the plumber replaced the flange and was able to put on the bowl. It fit! I’ve only used it for a few weeks so far, but there is NO LEAK under the bowl. If this continues, I will be satisfied with my purchase.

They are absolutely superb for preventing clogs. No need to have a plunger on hand. Unfortunately though these models don't wash the higher, front part of the bowl well. You have to keep a brush on hand so that you can keep that part of the bowl clean. Suggest your design needs to clean the upper front part of the bowl better when you flush. But, I DO keep buying them because of their no clog flush. It's also a shame that the toilet seat specifically made for this unit is so uncomfortable. I've had to purchase other toilet seat brands for better comfort, but unfortunately the colors don't match exactly. Suggest redesigning your toilet seats for this bowl so that they do not have the uncomfortable concave design. I am a thin person without much of my own "natural" padding. Your seats are clearly not built for me and with this bowl, the seat design is a problem.

Rated 3 de 5 de par The tank is designed with a hole under the front... The tank is designed with a hole under the front of the rim that jets out water. Problem is the water splashes out on the bowl rim and onto our new floor every time we flush so have to wipe the floor after each flush! Otherwise it flushes well waste down efficiently and quietly, as we would expect from the Kohler brand.

Very glad we did. When our house was built 20 years ago, two contractor-grade toilets were installed. They were ok at best, but required a good workout with a plunger a couple times a month. Two months since installation we have not been able to plug either one of them (and we've tried). The clearing of solid waste of this model is outstanding, and I expected that to make it noisier than our old toilet, but it didn't. We also liked the appearance of this model more than several of others, and we especially like the couple inches of extra height from the floor. It fit exactly where the old model was and all the holes lined up. We even left the old floor flange in place and reused it. If I EVER need another toilet, or recommend a toilet to a friend it will be THIS model. (Sorry, my wife said I may NOT submit a "photo of this product in action," so will forgo the "chance to win $1,000.")

Rated 5 de 5 de par Works almost perfectly Works almost perfectly when combined with the matching tank. A full (1.28 gal) flush removes everything that is in the holding water. The only thing that doesn't seem to go down is if there is TP way up the side of the bowl sitting just above the water line: that will get rinsed down into the middle, but won't make it out on a single flush. So far, it seems to stay cleaner than an older Kohler that we have elsewhere in the house. Also, it was easy to install.

no!!! you need 12 inches or tank lid will not sit properly and may fall off. Also during installation you will need the full 12 inches to sit it down on the bolts properly. consider buying a toilet drain/wastepipe offset. This fitting will bring it forward a few inches.
