Rated 5 de 5 de par This is the best toilet and best price Compared this toilet to other retailers and HD is by far the cheapest with free freight. This unit arrived in two weeks before the scheduled date. It was professionally unloaded and I had it installed in about an hour. The flush is unbeatable. I just can not clogg it with normal toilet material. It is loud, but that's the sound of power.

Rated 2 de 5 de par Beware seat bolts are not assessable from below. I purchases and installed this toilet June 2016, and it works well for the intended use (power flush). About three months ago I needed to remove the seat for replacement, and the left side (facing the toilet) seat fastening bolt broke in half leaving part of it stuck inside the body of the toilet. The seat mounting bolts do not extend through to the underside of the toilet, and they are not easily assessable. The threaded portion of the seat fastener receiving the seat bolt is inserted into the toilet body from inside the tank in a tight area not visible without using a mirror to peak under a 90% turn in the casting. Using a mirror I examined the fastener holding the broken piece of seat fastening bolt, and I discovered it has rusted likely due to moister inside the tank. There is no room to use tools, and the toilet must be replaced.

We ordered two of them as we were changing to "Comfort Height" toilets, but we are just as pleased with the flushing mechanism as we are with the Comfort Height. FlushMate is a technical breakthrough in toilet flushing. I cannot say enough good things about this toilet.

Rated 3 de 5 de par Flushes well but loud This toilet definitely flushes well. Super powerful. The downside is it's really loud. My wife is avoiding using it. I'm considering hanging a set of ear muffs next to the toilet. I'll use it because 1-gallon/flush was the main goal. It qualified for a rebate from the water company so the net cost was about $625 (still way overpriced but only the low profile toilet works in our bathroom). The three star rating is the average of 4.5 stars for flushing, 1.5 stars for noise.

It is an excellent product and everyone in the family likes them. So I decided to buy 3 myself and installed them yesterday. They were a hit with my family and guest. Well and worth the price. Buying 3 provides you with a $200 rebate and free shipping direct to your home.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Excellent toilet but some drawbacks I purchased two Kohler San Raphael toilet to replace 25 year old toilets that weren't functioning well and to save water. They are pricey plus I had to pay a plumber $150 to install each toilet. This didn't stop me from then replacing the other two in my house (which were still working) so I now have four. The toilet is high quality and looks beautiful in my bathroom and the comfort height is very nice. The Flushmate technology is powerful and literally sucks everything away. It reminds me of an airplane toilet. Two drawbacks though: 1. Noisy flush but not so much that it prevented me from buying the second pair and 2. It doesn't always flush all the paper so OFTEN requires two flushes. That sort of voids the water saving idea. The great features definitely outweighs the two negatives and would recommend this toilet to anyone searching for a quality, high functioning toilet.

Rated 5 de 5 de par San Rafael Elongated 1.0 gpf We are very pleased with the San Rafael toilet.. The toilet has a pressure assisted flush, only one flush needed. It was professionally installed one week ago in our main bathroom which gets plenty of use. This toilet is worth the extra money.

How loud is the pressure assisted flush? Is it really “3 seconds of jet roar” AS A REVIEWER SAID. I DON’T WANT TO WAKE UP GUESTS OR ANNOUNCE EVERY time I go to the can housewife. 3 seconds is one thousand one, one thousand two, one thousand three.

It's more like one second, but you may have to flush it twice because it won't take the TP on the first flush if you deposit the TP in the front of the toilet.

Is kid a quiet close lid

Yes, it is a quiet close lid. However, I do not recommend this toilet. We have two and both have leaked from the bolt that holds the internal tank in place within a year to eighteen months of purchase. The warranty did not apply. One was replaced after much argument though still had to pay installation and troubleshooting costs, the other I have not addressed yet.

I am planning on purchasing this toilet in the coming weeks. I have been reading the reviews and would like to know what is the solution to the problem when the toilet seat needs to be changed and the bolt breaks off due to rust. According to one review, it happened to someone who had the toilet for four years. The bolt was rusted and broke when he attempted to change the seat, there was no way of retrieving the bolt. Now he is faced with changing the entire toilet. I am attaching the image of the alleged incident. Thanks,

Thank you for your inquiry. Though appearances may be similar, different models do have different features, which account for different prices. Since noise is a concern, the better bet for a quieter, but still powerful, flush is a Power Lite Toilet like the K-3393-96 San Raphael Toilet. A few items regarding the flushing technology for the K-3393-96: •Dual-flush technology allows you to choose between a full- or half-flush. •Power Lite® technology uses an electric pump to deliver water from the tank through the bowl for extraordinarily powerful flushing. •Requires an electrical outlet near the toilet.
