Rated 4 de 5 de par Looks great! I chose the screwless wallplates because I'm updating my kitchen to give it a more modern look. At first, I was a little hesitant when I took it out of the package, because the plastic piece felt flimsy. To my surprise, I ended up taking the wallplate on/off the wall several times (it was my first time replacing an outlet, so I had to fix a few mistakes). It held up perfectly and didn't crack or bend! I guess the wallplate was stronger than I thought. I'm very happy with the final product and plan to continue installing these wallplates throughout the house.

When installed properly they look beautiful. There is no comparison between these and the Lutron version. The Lutron plates have a seam around the edge that will collect dirt & grime. The Levitons have a much cleaner appearance. You just need to take care and install your device straight and even with the wall first. I use a version of these when necessary, http://www.homedepot.com/p/Ideal-Spacers-25-Pack-172451L/202937111, to help with that.

Rated 2 de 5 de par Tiny screws make it a pain to install the screwless switch plate. The 'screwless' switch plate attaches to the switch with 2 tiny screws, so the screws are hidden but still used. In my case I dropped one of the screws and could not find it. Luckily I saw a desktop computer in a neighbors trash and was able to find a replacement screw from that which was the same size or close enough. But it was a pain to get the thing working, which is annoying given it is 4x the price of 'screwed' plates. It would be nice if they sold a version for electrical boxes that are not exactly flush. Otherwise is does look nicer than the cheaper alternative and probably will be easier to clean.

When the actual outlet and all the metal and plastic and engineering that goes into it costs <$2, and the plate costs $3.48, something's wrong. You can buy the outlets in 10 packs but the covers are all singles. That's pretty stupid, considering how I need to replace the 20+ outlets in my 30+ year old house. I have a hard time justifying $80 in covers versus just reusing the 2-hole covers I've got and not using the rectangular decorator style outlets. Put together a 10 pack of these for $15 and it'd be a decent buy.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Poor design - no way to make all parts flush. I wish I would have read the reviews before purchasing - now i have to go back and return it. Like others have written, this plate is very flimsy - It has one huge design flaw - unlike Claro screwless plates from Lutron, this plate offers *no way* to pull the decora switch (a blank in my case) flush with the face of the plate. The way in which the Lutron plate works is that you first attach the switch to the wall box using the long screws just like you do any other type of switch. Then you use the inner part of the Lutron plate and two more screws to pull the switch tight with the inner plate. Next you tighter or lossen the wall box screws while checking the outer finish plate to see if it sits flush on the wall. The result - a perfect looking switch (or blank plate) and plate perfectly flush with the wall! The Leviton plate offers no way to keep the inner plate and the switch tight to each other which is critical for a flush finish. Fortunately Home Depot does carry Lutron, but you have to look in the Lutron display to find the 1 gang screwless plate (plus they they DON'T list it as "screwless" and, oddly, they omit the maker "Lutron" only from the 1 gang plate which resulted in me getting this worthless plate because I couldn't find the Lutron plate on the HD website during my first search).

Rated 1 de 5 de par Nice Looking Plate but Very Poor Design I like the look of this plate. It has a very neat and clean style. However, the design is horrible. It is extremely difficult and usually not possible to get it seated to the wall and the switch/outlet. Its as if it is engineered to not work. A few simple changes and it could be a great product. I would try a different brand.

Rated 3 de 5 de par Looks great, but has its flaws Unless the dry walls and the switches are properly aligned you will see unwanted gaps, since the plastic is not exactly sturdy. It drives someone like me, who wants everything to look perfect, crazy! And oddly enough, home depot doesnt carry 2+ gang wall plates, and I had to order it through amazon. So if you are replacing all the wall plates, and have 3-4 gang ones, watch out.

Do these covers have the unsightly seam around the edge just like the Lutron switches do?

Posée par: JEROME
These covers do not have the large seam on the side that the Lutron covers do. The Lutron covers are specifically designed to look like they are made of two "layers" whereas the Leviton covers look like a single piece.

Can the underneath plate be screwed into the switch and the wall together? I only have 2 available holes in the wall (one top and one bottom) so the cover has to have screws that will reach into the wall.

Posée par: FHSJ
There is an plate underneath this screwless snap mount. So the underneath plate has 2 screws, it should be standard and should fit into switch and the screwless mount snaps on it.

Can this wall plate be used with a GFI outlet?

Posée par: kcaz
Yes it can. The GFCI outlets are made to fit both their outlet covers and the Decorator/Rocker wall plates.

I see two conflicting answers on if the plate that attaches to the outlet(not the snap on plate) screws into the outlet with the screws that hold that in, or does it screw in the way a regular plate would screw in(using the top screw holes). My outlet had tile put behind it and the top screw holes can not be use so I want a snap on that the sub-plate uses the holes that hold the outlet. What is the right answser?
Posée par: Bobnj
K, they have two screws like a regular plate & then the snap on. I used the same holes but you must use both to get a flat, smooth look. You can give it a try & see how it looks? I've done 30 so far and haven't run into any problems with the builders grade outlets that were installed when my home was built. Can you drill a hole in the top? Rose
