  1. Excellentes propriétés isolantes

Rated 5 de 5 de par OUR PROJECT Though we still need to attach siding to the coop portion of this summer's "chicken lodge" construction project, we just made and installed hinged windows over screened openings to provide better shelter for our new chickens before winter weather arrives. We chose Lexan Polycarbonate Sheets for their durability, clarity, light weight and ease of attachment to our frames. They look great, the birds are happy and we can still keep an eye on each other. I cut it, sanded it, thinned it down to about 2 mm or less, heated it, spray painted it, countersunk it, screwed it, and just about jumped on it to see if it would break (but I didn't do that), and now I have a near zero clearance table saw insert! Compared to the insert that came with the saw, with a wide opening for the beveling of the blade, the one I hand made is better than nothing. Loved this product. If you have the patience and have to make something thin like a table saw insert this is the best. I bought it about 6 weeks ago, made the insert, now working on a sled so I haven't used it yet (Still don't want to hurt my creation I guess).

I cut it with a circle cutter and a hole saw and drill, filed the edge and it is installed on the top of a 95 gallon fish tank. No stress cracks and does the job wonderfully.

Hi, is it flexible and can it be cut for face shields?

Posée par: Lil
Hello, yes & no. It will flex enough to wrap around a face but holding it in that shape would require the head band to be quite strong. A thinner piece would better suffice. Maybe a 2 liter bottle could be cut to work?? Good luck.

Would I be able to use this product as a SUN Roof Window MOD on my hard top Jeep???

about 2×3' section directly Bove my head?
Posée par: HomeDepotCustomer
Howdy Rob, While this might work, it would take a lot of work and "know-how". Another concern is that is is not like hardened glass and won't break safely. happy building, Coach Dave

Is this product flexible or hard? Trying to use this as a shelf
Posée par: Vik
This would most likely be too flexible for a shelf - I bought this product to stick it to the wall to use as a whiteboard, which it does perfectly, but in the process it bended pretty liberally trying to get off the wall before I had all the adhesives in place.

Paint the back?

I want to paint a pic on back and inset into cabinet door for an almost stained glass effect. Can I use acrylic paint on this?
Posée par: Lee
I used spray paint for plastic. Granted I only used two colors but it worked well. I taped off lines using painters tape, my design was like a barber's pole, spray painted the black lines first, waited about 10 minutes if I recall, took off the tape then sprayed the entire piece with white spray paint. Afterwards I had to do some more tweaking, sanding, etc. underneath but it held well. If your design isn't too busy, tape off the areas that are to be the stained glass colored parts first, which means you are going to paint the leading portion of the picture. Spray it gray, or whatever for the lead. Wait until paint dries. Remove the tape and then cover the areas NOT being sprayed the same color. For example, let's say you are using 3 colors, A, B, and C. After leading part is done, tape off ALL areas NOT using A. Spray the entire piece. Wait for paint to dry, remove tape. Now, tape off ALL areas NOT using B. Be careful removing tape after each painting to make sure the tape doesn't pull off the previous colors. I got my spray paint at Ace Hardware but don't recall the name. It is FOR plastic and dries in about 10-15 minutes so you can work on the next color. Repeat for C by just removing the tape and spraying the entire piece. PLEASE, try it on a small piece first to see if these steps will work. I assume no liability, etc. blah, blah if it doesn't work.
