Rated 1 de 5 de par Garbage. Filter doesn't seat. This filter does not seat after many attempts. I have to modify the filter to get it to seat. LG needs to modify these filters by removing the inner key-way feature. Its silly in my opinion to have both outer and inner key-way, belt and suspenders. Rated 1 de 5 de par Water Filter does not fit/leaks Water filter replacements do not fit properly in the refrigerator. Wasted 2 new filters trying to see if they would fit. Both did not work. The filter does not engage, it did not seat properly and will leak. Must have changed the design of the Water filter for new models, but now causing issues for older models. My refrigerator is only 1 year old. It appears LG's R&D team did not confirm the older models requirements and tried to make one filter fit all models.

Rated 5 de 5 de par LG Fridge water filter Original LG fridge product, works fine. Now for the life of the fridge I have to replace filter every six months. A bad LG design like printers constantly having to buy ink. Until the warranty expires try the Amazon products its cheaper.

Rated 1 de 5 de par B L E C H !!! Our water and ice have tasted horrible since we purchased our new fridge many months ago. I finally decided to try using a new filter but now I see all of these horrible reviews about the filters not fitting correctly and I’m afraid to even purchase one. With all of these bad reviews with the exact same problem, why aren’t you doing something about it???

Why is there a prop 65 warning on this filter?

Posée par: Vanessa1912
Proposition 65 requires businesses to provide warnings to Californians about significant exposures to chemicals that cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. These chemicals can be in the products that Californians purchase, in their homes or workplaces, or that are released into the environment. By requiring that this information be provided, Proposition 65 enables Californians to make informed decisions about their exposures to these chemicals. Prop 65 affects all consumer products sold or distributed in California, including textiles, footwear, and many more. Penalties for failure to warn are stiff often requiring companies to pay thousands of dollars and one of the exceptions to the rule is that no warning is required if a business can show that the anticipated exposure level falls at or below the "safe harbor" level. The Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) has established safe harbor levels for many of the listed chemicals. Rather than risk these stiff penalties, even if a product falls at or below the "safe harbor level" the warning is placed on the product in the event that it ends up being sold or distributed in California. Examples of such chemicals include cadmium, mercury, and lead. Certain listed chemicals like lead are widely distributed throughout the environment in air, soil, water, and rocks. As a result, these types of chemicals are often naturally found in commonly eaten foods, even though these chemicals are not intentionally added. All foods naturally contain some amount of heavy metals from the earth. Prop 65 warnings are seen throughout California in a wide range of settings -- in restaurants, grocery stores, hotels, schools, hospitals, and on a wide variety of consumer products. In addition, some internet and mail-order retailers have chosen to provide Prop 65 warnings on their websites or in catalogs for all consumers. Proposition 65 is meant to notify individuals in California of potential exposures to Prop 65-listed chemicals. Prop 65 is a right-to-know law; it does not ban the sale of any products that contain these chemicals...^IFV
