Rated 5 de 5 de par Great product I installed 1200 sq feet of this product. It looks fantastic and gets lots of compliments. It is definitively on the “premium” side of vinyl plank product, at an affordable cost. Also very easy to keep clean. Installing flooring is hard work! Get good knee pads. The product does not simply click together. It requires substantially force to get the seams to lock in. You will need a rubber mallet, tapping block, and pull bar. Tapping block and pull bar are sold as a kit along with spacer wedges for gapping around the perimeter. That said, when it clicks together the seam disappears and looks great. You will get the hang of it after a few boards. A caveat is that the distribution of the board patterns is not randomized very well. You will get some boxes that have mostly the same patterned board. Make sure to open several boxes and mix up the boards to ensure a random look. Being an obsessive sort of guy I opened several boxes, sorted the boards, and created stacks of boards of the same pattern. I then consciously selected boards to avoid repetition. I will be choosing this product again for another section of my house slated for a facelift.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Looks great Bought this to install in my basement, was a little worried about the recommended floor tolerance because we have and old house with an uneven slab. It followed the floor variations very well but I had to use a tapping block made from an off cut to get the joints together, didn’t not simply click together as it may have on a flatter floor. Biggest complaint would be that there was only 4 different patterns in the planks which made it difficult to layout with staggering patterns.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Love it I had my whole basement floor done with this wonderful vinyl plank, including the bathroom. (Except the bedroom) We love it, it’s soft to walk on and looks like a million bucks! My Reno guy had no problems putting it in, he said after the first few, getting the hang of the process, installation was quite quick. I wish I had it up on the main floor instead of the laminate.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Looks great It looks great. Used it in a basement renovation. Installed the vinyl on a dricore sub-floor. The general contractor struggled with getting the pieces to fit together perfectly. It was their first time installing vinyl, as they were only experienced with laminate. Apparently vinyl is more difficult. This resulted in about 5 minor gaps (1mm) in total, which were between some of the board ends. For reference, we used ~ 500sq/ft of flooring total.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Avoid this product This was a very disappointing product, difficult to install, and already shows signs of damage to the top layer after less than a year of use :(

Rated 4 de 5 de par Good flooring & got it on sale! We used this flooring in our basement. We paid someone to install it & they had no complaints. We chose it for the thickness & the price. Initially, we thought the colour might have a slight green cast, but decided to get it anyway because the price was right. In non-store lighting & with warmer paint colours on the wall -- we no longer see any green in the flooring. Feels good under foot & looks good too. We did have it installed with DMX airflow underneath because we have had some water issues in the past.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Looks good I bought this product for a new house and it is absolutely beautiful with one little flaw. In the picture there is a mark on the planks that looks like a little fish about 1 inch long and 1/2 inch wide. It appears at least once in every box. I called Home Depot to make sure it wasn't a flaw and they checked it and said it was in the original photo. Some people say they love it and some say they don't. So we tried to put the fish where they weren't so conspicuous.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Vinyl plank flooring is the better choice. I placed this flooring on my main floor. It is the best investment I made for any kind of flooring. Great for high traffic areas, and so easy to clean.

Lifeproof Luxury Vinyl Plank flooring claims to be waterproof but we're considering installing it in a basement laundry room and the lower level of a 5 level backsplit which is below grade and requires sump pumps. What happens if there is a flood?

Posée par: She11eyS
It's vinyl, rubber backed I placed it in my main bathroom, if you have a flood it doesn't matter really what you have for flooring

Why can you not lay the floor and then install cabinets and bathtub? I will have a freestanding tub that will be difficult to cut around.

Posée par: Murfam4
Note: - This is my personal opinion only. I have installed this flooring in 2 bathrooms, then added cabinets, as well as toilets over it, and only cut around permanently installed tubs. As long as it has room to expand/contract from temp changes, I feel you should be able to do this under a free standing tub. After all, the tub is only really heavy for short periods when it's full of water.

Does this product have an R value?

Can’t say I know if Sawn Oak vinyl plank has an R value. It is warmer definitely on the feet for sure…

Can I put DMX 1-Step 2.0 underlayment under this vinyl flooring

Posée par: Lizzy
I don't think there is need for any underlay, since this already has its own vinyl backing. I installed it in a basement bathroom right on the concrete, and a main floor one over ceramic tile a few years ago. Everything is still perfectly fine !

how many boxes of this flooring would I need to cover 825 sq ft

Posée par: Leah
Simple arithmetic (825/19.8) will tell you that you need 42 cases. However you should plan for inevitable wastage which will depend on the shape of the floor to be covered. You will need to trim lengthwise the first row and the last row and you will have end-pieces that will not be used. And there will be some blunders and mistakes to take into account. Order 45 cases to start and plan to buy more if you run short.

We are planning to put Lifeproof vinyl floor in our basement family room. Does the product insulate from the cold, or should we use an insulated layer under the flooring?

Posée par: Scott
we live in a ground floor suite with concrete floors and did not see the need to install any insulation under the vinyl, and it has been fine even in the winter months. However we do live in Vancouver so that may make a difference.

I bought tons of this vinyls to install throughout my house, but I'm not finding the stair nose moulding that matches with it. Could you help, please?

Posée par: Clauber
I only had a need for floor mouldings and these I was able to purchase at Home Depot
