Rated 5 de 5 de par Great product I installed 1200 sq feet of this product. It looks fantastic and gets lots of compliments. It is definitively on the “premium” side of vinyl plank product, at an affordable cost. Also very easy to keep clean. Installing flooring is hard work! Get good knee pads. The product does not simply click together. It requires substantially force to get the seams to lock in. You will need a rubber mallet, tapping block, and pull bar. Tapping block and pull bar are sold as a kit along with spacer wedges for gapping around the perimeter. That said, when it clicks together the seam disappears and looks great. You will get the hang of it after a few boards. A caveat is that the distribution of the board patterns is not randomized very well. You will get some boxes that have mostly the same patterned board. Make sure to open several boxes and mix up the boards to ensure a random look. Being an obsessive sort of guy I opened several boxes, sorted the boards, and created stacks of boards of the same pattern. I then consciously selected boards to avoid repetition. I will be choosing this product again for another section of my house slated for a facelift.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Looks great Bought this to install in my basement, was a little worried about the recommended floor tolerance because we have and old house with an uneven slab. It followed the floor variations very well but I had to use a tapping block made from an off cut to get the joints together, didn’t not simply click together as it may have on a flatter floor. Biggest complaint would be that there was only 4 different patterns in the planks which made it difficult to layout with staggering patterns.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Love it I had my whole basement floor done with this wonderful vinyl plank, including the bathroom. (Except the bedroom) We love it, it’s soft to walk on and looks like a million bucks! My Reno guy had no problems putting it in, he said after the first few, getting the hang of the process, installation was quite quick. I wish I had it up on the main floor instead of the laminate.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Good flooring & got it on sale! We used this flooring in our basement. We paid someone to install it & they had no complaints. We chose it for the thickness & the price. Initially, we thought the colour might have a slight green cast, but decided to get it anyway because the price was right. In non-store lighting & with warmer paint colours on the wall -- we no longer see any green in the flooring. Feels good under foot & looks good too. We did have it installed with DMX airflow underneath because we have had some water issues in the past.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Looks great It looks great. Used it in a basement renovation. Installed the vinyl on a dricore sub-floor. The general contractor struggled with getting the pieces to fit together perfectly. It was their first time installing vinyl, as they were only experienced with laminate. Apparently vinyl is more difficult. This resulted in about 5 minor gaps (1mm) in total, which were between some of the board ends. For reference, we used ~ 500sq/ft of flooring total.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Avoid this product This was a very disappointing product, difficult to install, and already shows signs of damage to the top layer after less than a year of use :(

Rated 4 de 5 de par Looks good I bought this product for a new house and it is absolutely beautiful with one little flaw. In the picture there is a mark on the planks that looks like a little fish about 1 inch long and 1/2 inch wide. It appears at least once in every box. I called Home Depot to make sure it wasn't a flaw and they checked it and said it was in the original photo. Some people say they love it and some say they don't. So we tried to put the fish where they weren't so conspicuous.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Sawn oak vinyl plank flooring Each piece is very similar so you don’t have to think of a certain layout before putting it down.

We are considering this flooring for our basement. We don't normally have any water issues, however for subgrade installation should a separate underlayment be used? Right now our floor is concrete no subfloor.

Posée par: Cindy 22
Thanks for your question. You'd consider the concrete to be your subfloor, no matter the grade. You can use a 6 mil poly as a moisture barrier but using any type of underlayment will void your warranty. It will allow the planks too much movement and can cause them to gap and even damage the tongue and groove.

I am planning to install luxury vinyl plank in my basement on the concrete slab. Do I need an underlay and if so can you recommend one?

Posée par: Jeff
This product is nice, but be sure your concrete is very level as the locking system separates easily and movement will cause gaps. Also keep checking all planks as you move forward as they come apart easily. My basement is dry and I did not use an underlayment. No issues. Also very difficult to cut with knife.

The video mentions 'not suitable for non-temperature controlled areas'- my question: is this product suitable to be installed on a concrete floor of a finished pool house that is completely insulated but not heated in the winter months?

Posée par: Karen N Glen
we installed the product on a finished concrete floor but it is in a living area that is heated. no problems at all but unheated? no experience with that.

Has anyone with LARGE indoor dogs used this product -- and if so, how has the pattern layer held up over several years? My current (laminate) flooring did not do well in this respect.

Posée par: Susan
We don’t have dogs on the house but our youngest son rollerblades and scooters in the house in winter and it has held up very well to that.

Since it was installed a few of the seems separated which surprised me because they were tight when first installed.  Is there a reason for this?  Is it covered under warranty? I have never had this problem with any other cluck flooring.

Posée par: Duncan
Thanks for your question. There are several things that can cause the planks to gap. Damage to the tongue and groove, not being properly engaged during install, or uneven substrate putting stress on the lock are the most common. If you want to give us a call, we'll be able to troubleshoot with you. (866) 843-8453

We are planning to put Lifeproof vinyl floor in our basement family room. Does the product insulate from the cold, or should we use an insulated layer under the flooring?

Posée par: Scott
we live in a ground floor suite with concrete floors and did not see the need to install any insulation under the vinyl, and it has been fine even in the winter months. However we do live in Vancouver so that may make a difference.
