Rated 5 de 5 de par 100% GREAT LAMINATE. Looks incredible, very solid build. Soaked it in water for 24hrs to see if there would be major issues with a leak etc and ZERO change with this laminate. In comparison, all other brands we tried the same experiment on expanded and was unusable. Would recommend this flooring. I would even surmise this is a laminate thats as close to hard wood as you can get.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Great color and floor quality Flooring was installed via Home depot sub-contractors. They completed 800sqft between 2 floors in 2 days and we were happy with the installers (helped moved heavier furniture as well around the room). Floor does get slippery when cleaned with a damped swiffer style mop. Floor feels solid under the feet and plank joints are beveled with no gaps. Flooring is 24HR water resistant however have not had many major or minor spills yet to put that to test. Overall very satisfied.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Nice and easy to install Very easy to install. I like the ability to work the product backwards, enabling you to have no transitions. Definitely should undercut any door frames for a clean look. Cons. Simple dust issue. My building has been using the allure vinyl laminate for years which creates no dust. I would suggest using a guillotine laminate cutter to reduce this.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Nice product Looks great. We had our contractor install the floor over DMX subfloor and they felt it was a bit harder to install than other floors they've done but to be fair, they are more used to installing vinyl. Laminate is thicker and more rigid.

Rated 3 de 5 de par Good flooring but not enough unique patterns I installed 600 square feet of the pebble oak lifeproof laminate. I chose it for a basement installation and I needed some degree of water resistance. The installation went well overall but the most annoying problem I had was with the wood pattern on the boards. It was very difficult to avoid the same board pattern side by side because there were only 6 unique pattern pieces in my batch. Each box had 8 pieces which means each box had at least 2 duplicates. Also, two of the unique pieces had the same wood pattern but just shifted. I expected more patterns and this made the installation slower to ensure that the same patterns weren’t close to each other. I’m not sure why they did so few patterns but keep this in mind.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Laminate flooring Good product and went together well, Love the texture and that it is water respistant. We have a big dog who is clumsy with his water bowl (frequent spills) which is why our previous floor needed replacing and this flooring will definitely be able to stand up to abuse from our big goofball. Would definitely buy again.

Does this product need underlay?

Posée par: snowrover
Thank you for your inquiry. Yes, we recommend the use of an underlay pad, not exceeding 3mm thickness and minimally compressive. If installing over a concrete subfloor, we require the use of an underlay with an integrated moisture vapor barrier. PDNA Customer Service Team

Is this product good for a basement? Is 6mil vapour barrier alI I need?

Posée par: JoeG1966
Dear JoeG Thanks for your inquiry. Yes, the Pebble Oak floor can be installed in a basement setting, provided you use a vapor barrier underlay (6mil poly or equivalent), such as the EcoFoam Cork product sold at The Home Depot, making sure to overlap the seams. If you are installing directly over a concrete subfloor, you must assure there is no visible signs of moisture and that it is flat within the required range (flat within 3/16" on 10' or 1/8" on 6') and that the relative humidity in your basement should be within 35-60% year round for this product (use of a humidifier/de-humidifier may be required, if it is not). Should you have any further questions, please call us at 1-844-MY-DEKOR x 105.

can you put on wall, would have to glue the planks.

Posée par: steve4
No. Laminate flooring is designed to expand and contract. It can't do this if you glue it.

Can this product be installed over acoustic underlay? I live in a condo and it is a bylaw that laminate flooring be installed over underlay for noise reduction.

Posée par: Mickeyb
I installed this flooring over DMX and it is perfect. This really is a good flooring that is very easy to install.

How do you install the planks side by side? I am having the hardest time - the planks don't look like they sit tight like everyone else's photos. I try to approach from an angle to place the plank and I still get a gap.

Posée par: Alex
Hi, Thank you for your question. The vendor replied as "The first few rows can sometimes be a challenge to click together as there is little weight to keep the floor from moving while locking in planks. One trick it to lay boxes of flooring on the starter row to hold in in place while you get the first few rows in place. Usually, by the third of fourth row, the flooring has enough weight to sit in place and will no longer “swim” when you are trying to click lock the subsequent rows of planks in place."

Can I use a steam mop to clean this flooring?

Posée par: Gman
My wife has used one on ours without any issues as yet, but you wouldn’t want to use it for an extended period at the joints. Dry it as soon as practical just to make sure it doesn’t weep into the joints. She also uses a Swiffer wet jet occasionally after the grand kids have been for a visit. I’m very happy with the quality.

My flooring doesn’t seem to have “drop in” ends I have had to hammer every piece together. Almost like there is two tongues.

Posée par: Gerd
Hi Gerd, Thanks for your question. The product is actually a 4 way click system by necessity for the surface of the floor system to resist the effects of spills for the declared 24 hour period. We have reached out to have this corrected on the Home Depot website. Thanks! PDNA Team

I am installing this laminate in all bedrooms and hallway on second floor. Do I have to transition at bedrooms or can I make it continuous?

Posée par: Jet68
Thanks for your inquiry. Regarding the use of "T" transition mouldings, they are required in all doorways and any run exceeding 40'. Important to note that the floors expansion/contraction ratio is exponential to the size of the installation area (the bigger the area, the more it will move), so if you install multiple rooms inter-connected, they will all move at once and risk catching on door casings and walls. Using "T" transition mouldings allows each section to float and move independently.
