Rated 1 de 5 de par Poor quality You get what you pay for! This shower base was quite a bit cheaper than the others on the website so I got it. The support system is just a big hunk of molded styrofoam, and the material of the base is flexible. Once the base was installed, there was a creaking styrofoam sound whenever you step on the base. There are several spots where you can actually feel your foot go down - there must be a hollow in the styrofoam or a gap between the base and the styrofoam. I was VERY disappointed, but the contractor had already laid the wall tile over it so I couldn't take it out. Not impressed! Wish I'd sprung for a more expensive item.

Building a custom home from ground up, you make a lot of decisions, some you really regret. buying this product is my biggest. the acrylic separated from the foam underneath and claps when you step on it. I called Maax to see if there was any way to fix this and they said there is none, other than replacing the product, which is all tiled in and affixed with Maax glass doors (another regret). So basically my five year old bathroom needs to be gutted and redone. Maax, if you make a product that goes behind tiling that lasts a hundred years, your product needs to last equally as long. Do not purchase!

Rated 3 de 5 de par Overall love it, but not an easy install I wrote a review last year but somehow it is deleted now. This was not an easy kit to do, especially if retrofitting. It says on the box but not in the ads that it is meant for bathrooms 2012 and up? I can't remember the year exactly but our bathroom is from the 1980's and to get it to fit evenly was a pain. I will say that once it was installed it looks really good and we don't have the mold issues that you get with real tile. I wish it came with more shelving though as they charge over $50 for another shelf and it isn't exactly huge. If you plan on doing this, prepare for double or triple the time for fitting if you are doing this in an older bathroom.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Poor insructions, poor service The user manual instructs you to use a product that is not compatible with base material. Silicone does not adhere to the acrylic base. Home Depot staff tried to help by calling Maxx service. Maxx admitted manual wrong as silicone will not adhere to this product. In an attempt to ask the Maxx employee what product to use, I was questioned on my installation even though he already admitted the reason my silicone was not sealing the bottom bead between wall tiles and base was due to them listing wrong product. Service from Maxx is terrible and user manual is plain wrong. Do not recommend.

Rated 4 de 5 de par It is beautiful but needs quality control. It is beautiful but it has some issues. The walls are a beautiful fiberglass that simulate tile. The back and both side panels start off aligned on the bottom but gradully the sides tiles are higher than the back panel. This is mirrored on both end panels so it is a fabrication issue. The shower base is cheap and flimsy and Made in China (according to the box). It is advertised as North American made. We have purchased this brand before that the based came on a metal tub frame. For the price of this shower, I expected the same quality. I recommend swapping the base to a higher quality one when you purchase it, if you have that option.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Home Depot should be embarased to sell this Poor quality from the first day. Was soft and flexed under foot. After 6 years the foam supporting underneath was compressed to the point the the surface cracked. This should not be sold at any cost. In researching other replacements now, I realize there are better and more expensive option out there that have reinforcement to last a lifetime. Unfortunately this is not easy to replace. need to pullout Glass panels, replace wall and floor tiles. A several thousand dollar project because of $400 product that is architect-ed to fail from the get go.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Very disappointed!! Total regret ! Bought this shower pan because we loved the square drain feature. Seemed more modern then the traditional round. We hired a professional to redo our bathroom. We purchased the products,he installed them. Had we read the reviews prior to the purchase of this pan we would not of bought it. The one side we walk into seems solid and no noise, however when you move into the middle under the water there is an annoying creak that continues to make noises while showering. It sounds like styrofoam rubbing together. We are nervous the foam will eventually wear down with the constant rubbing and loose the support, and the pan will crack. We have tiled the walls, the bathroom is completed. Now what are we suppose to do? Poor quality Wished we read the reviews Do not buy this pan Worst product we have ever put in our house.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Flimsy Construction! Good modern look - but very poor construction! Thin acrylic over a white hard foam core to support it? Not sure how all the flexing around the drain is to keep the drain seal from leaking; as the support foam thickness thins at the drain area to allow for a slope so the water can to run to the drain. So at the drain the foam is barely a half inch thick!. Surprised they even offer such a product from Maax!

Can this be cut to accommodate a window?

Hello!..Unfortunatly none of the U Tile walls are recommended to be cut for height and width and also not recommended to be cut for a window because it weakens the product and it will void the warranty. Thank You!

Hi. Is one door fixed on this model? Are the doors reversible on this model? In other words if I have a right hand shower, can I install the door to open from the left (assuming one is fixed). Thanks

What is the exact location of the centre of the drain from back wall and side wall (example: 16'-16') for this right drain setup?

The center of the drain location is 8.5" by 16" from the right back corner. Please see the Olympia tech drawing in the Overview section of this page. There is a link that shows you all dimensions of the base, including drain location. Drain location is the same for right or left drain configurations. Thank you for considering Maax.

Does the Utile 60 Inch Metro Soft Grey Right Hand Alcove Shower Kit Shower base abd wall are fully 60 inch or a litel bit less. My space between both wall is 59 Inch, and will not fit is it is 6o Inch.
