Rated 2 de 5 de par Not what the 5" makita used to be I purchased this grinder when my old 9005B makita grinder died after 7 years of abuse, I absolutely loved my old makita but when I went to replace it all of the stores only carried this newer model so I gave it a try. Instantly I noticed it didn't run as smoothly or have as much torque as the old makita. After only 3 months of use it started to smell like it was burning, and developed a slight vibration. After 1 year of use it called it quits and the gears locked up in it. I've found a supplier who still carries the old style and I'm going to stock up on them so I never have to use this model again!

Rated 5 de 5 de par I've had this grinder for 2 years. I use it for cutting tile. Lots of power, and it had never let me down.. I've used it while working outside in light rain, and plenty of dust. quality tool

Rated 5 de 5 de par Makita rules the industrial construction sites I am a welder and electrician and have worked on many of the largest construction jobs in Alberta. One brand name of tool that is consistant on every site is Makita . The grinders take the most incredible punishment without missing a beat . The same accolades go to their cordless and corded drills . Occasionally another make of cordless drill shows up , and it does take a lot punishment as well , but you can pretty much count on seeing it die before the plant is built .

Rated 5 de 5 de par When I use Makita tools I always come away with the same question: Why doesn't Makita advertise more? It's tools are first class. A grinder like this can easily last 5 years in continuous use. This is a strong, well-built grinder made with real steel and a 10amp motor that will run off if you don't hold on. This grinder will grind anything and grind it well....steel, masonry...anything you throw at it. There are some great tools out there and Makita is certainly among them. You'll only ever need 1 grinder as a DIY'er....make it Makita and it'll last a long time. Recommend.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Runs surprisingly quietly, grip is much better than smaller grinders with the body style grip

Rated 5 de 5 de par Grind Away. I love this grinder, the grips make it easy to hold and it is very powerful. It makes quick work of everything I need to do and more. Continuous use all day long for several days during a project of mine,

Yes, this angle grinder can cut through rusty bolts as long as you use the correct grinding wheel. I hope this helps.
