Rated 5 de 5 de par As good as it gets. I own this saw and the Milwaukee 15 amp super Sawzall. Both of them are absolute beasts. Comparing the 2, the Makita has less vibration and has a larger, metal case. Milwaukee cuts slightly faster in orbital mode, but vibrates more.

Rated 5 de 5 de par A very powerful and feature-packed tool This is one very powerful tool. It will destroy anything! Overall, this is an excellent saw. The variable speed is a very useful feature as it allows to use the saw in less demanding applications. Otherwise, any user would find it to be too powerful. The saw feels a bit heavy at the beginning but once you start using it, it does not feel as much. I did not feel any vibration so the AVT feature must really work. The blade changing is bit difficult as you have to apply a good degree of force to remove/replace the blade. Metal case is sturdy and professional looking. But a plastic case would have probably been a better choice as the metal one could get banged and dented. It's not a cheap saw but you do get what you pay for. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Very strong, efficient, cuts iron like butter I use this daily for hours a day, it's a very strong saw. Nothing compares, no battery or power saw comes close to the speed and strength of this saw. I highly recommend it

Rated 5 de 5 de par This saw is incredible!!!! Lots of power. Smooth operation with much less vibration. It really do... This saw is incredible!!!! Lots of power. Smooth operation with much less vibration. It really does live up to the reviews. It's a bit on the heavier side of others but once one starts cutting it is made up for in less tired arms. Fast smooth cutting. Don't blame the saw if your blade is dull...change the blade.adjustable depth of cut is handy as well. Nice roomy metal case is a real plus. Keep up the good work Makita

Can I cut metal with this too? I know blades are a factor in this but I'm asking more on behalf of the tool itself.

Posée par: HogNog
Yes in general; using a bimetal blade, the saw performed very well sawing 1/8" thick sheet metal and even thicker nails. But for 4" diameter steel pipes with 1/4" wall thickness I needed to use an angle grinder to get the cutting done in a reasonable time.

Where is this tool made?

Where is this tool made?
Posée par: BCLLC
It is made in China. They use chinese steel in Chinese made products, despite manufactures' standards. Educate yourself on the issues of substandard chinese steel just about anywhere online.

Does the case have room for storing lots of long replacement blades?

Our company puts a (stupidly!?) high priority on parts accountability/site cleanliness.
Posée par: Heyyou
Yes, the compartment for blades is 14" x 2.5".

JR3070CT or JR3070CTZ!? "JR3070CT" has a trigger lock, "JR3070CTZ" - no. Which is preferable !?

Posée par: master217
Thank you for your question. The preference is determined by the user. The convenient large 2-finger trigger with lock-on button on the JR3070CT allows use of the tool without continuously holding down trigger. If you prefer to have the tool shut off as soon as you release the trigger the JR3070CTZ is the tool for you.

is the battery and charger included?

Posée par: christy
LOL at HD associate response. Battery and charger are not included due to this being a "power" tool you plug in, not a cordless tool.
