Rated 4 de 5 de par Much better than Most Bought 10 sheets of this plywood to use as decking on a porch roof. I needed the extra thickness so my roofing nails would not show thru underneath. As compared to the bc sanded pine plywood this material had a much better good face and had a much smoother finish than the bc ply. I primed the good side prior to installation and the resulting finish was quite nice. When I made the required cuts I found no voids in this material which is a real improvement as compared to the other products available for this application. Overall this product just seemed better manufactured than most of the plywoods I've purchased from Home Depot. The thickness was very consistent and it laid down very flat. R

Rated 4 de 5 de par Great but not the best Bought a large sheet to cut into strips for a french cleat wall. For the price it is good quality and does the job. This sheet actually comes accurately at 3/4", not thinner and not thicker. Both sides are fairly smooth and ready to use. The small problems of this was that there were some significant voids, and given that there are only 5 sheets glued in this plywood they leave a large void. The back of mine, and I didn't notice this when picking up, was also peeling so that part of the plywood was unusable. Overall this is decent quality with some flaws but 95% of the sheet was usable for me and did the job and a great surprise that it was really 3/4" thick.

Rated 2 de 5 de par Wrong Specifications!!! WARNING Depending on where you look: This is called 3/4, 23/32 or 0.703". Online description states "actual 0.703" * * * * * WRONG It is in reality NONE OF THESE. The tag on the panel claims it is 17.5mm or 23/32. IT CANNOT BE BOTH 17.5 MM AND 23/32!!! > > > > 23/32 = 0.71875 = 18.28mm 17.5mm = 0.6889 NOT 0.703!!!! This was verified with actual measurement of a panel. Maybe you do not thing that this is much of a difference? Cut a dado at 18mm or 23/32 and throw this in it and it will be a sloppy fit. Other than the dim's being wrong it appears to be a fine quality panel.

Has a very thick veneer, probably 10x thicker than the garbage from china. You won't sand thru this veneer. Has a few blemishes, nothing that can't be puttied and sanded. When Home Depot first started carrying this product I would give it a solid 5 star rating; however, in the past year the quality has fallen somewhat with a few blimishes and a few "footballs" in some sheets. Overall a great product.

Rated 3 de 5 de par Sturdy, but not consistent. Honestly, the quality is pretty mediocre. Maybe it was because I had it delivered so there was no attention paid to quality faces, but I actually had to use the back side of one of the boards, the front was coloured and flaking deep, deeper than I was comfortable sanding without burning through the veneer. No voids, plenty strong, but I wouldn’t rely on this for anything aesthetic.

The website indicated it was EXTERIOR grade ACX ---what I got is nice looking, so my low rating is not about the quality of the wood. It is about the fact there is ZERO marking on it of any kind--or color on the edge--so I have no idea if it is Exterior grade--I tend to doubt that it is-but I can't afford to use it and hope for the best. I have to be certain I am installing exterior grade--so this lack of marking is unacceptable. I just got this review request in my email, and it indicates I got "Unbranded" plywood--I don't know what that means, and I absolutely ordered exterior grade

Rated 4 de 5 de par Decent plywood Generally pretty decent plywood, with one good (sanded) side. Here and there some blemishes but overall not bad. Note that if you are planning to paint the plywood, best to apply two coats of primer and one or two coats of final paint as required. Also, after panting the sanded surface becomes somewhat rough, I suppose due to the fact that it was subjected to moisture in the paint.

Rated 3 de 5 de par Overpriced Mediocre Quality Beware lots of sheets have wood filler on the sanded side, which finishes like garbage. Not worth the price.

Is this product pressure treated against heavy rain ?

Posée par: TD
pressure treating wood does not protect from water damage at all. you must apply your chosen form of water treatment and apply it. I would not recommend using pressure treated wood on your table as the chemicals used are highly toxic. Try cedar, redwood, white oak.

Posée par: rjc0315
Hello rjc0315, Yes. If you intend to paint the table top make sure to use a good primer prior to painting. If staining, use a pre-conditioner to make sure the stain absorbs evenly, and finish it off with a polycrylic or varnish to protect it over time. I hope this helps. Cheers, Chris

No after a short time the sheet will swell and the glue will break down causing it to delaminate loose all strength and mold.

Would this plywood be recommended for a Jon boat transom?

Posée par: Mark
No you definitely want to use a Marine grade plywood to insure the product will last. It will be exposed to water which will make this product warp and break down.
