[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It has been my experience that when cutting cast iron or angle iron, a new average blade for a reciprocating saw will work. However, after just two or three cuts, that ordinary blade is done for. This Milwaukee blade which is 9 inches long, cut through 3/16 inch thick angle iron with ease. The teeth near the outer end were not in play so I was able to compare the teeth that did the cutting with the still new ones. I noticed a very small amount of wear only. It appears that this blade will hold up much longer than less expensive ones. The only downside I noted is there is too much paint on the blade.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Used to cut a piano harp in half I disassembled an old upright piano in order to get it out of the basement. I wouldn’t recommend this job to anyone! After I removed all the strings and got the harp out of the frame I still needed to cut the heavy cast iron harp in half to make the pieces more manageable to remove. After reading reviews, I settled on this 9” heavy metal cutting blade. I had to cut the frame in 4 places - cross sections of these cuts ranged from 1”x1” to 1”x1.5”. It started well but I probably dulled the blade some by the time I was done. I took my time using light to medium pressure and let the tool do the work. Took no more than 10-15 minutes and the harp was cut in half and is now out of the house!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this primarily for cutting thick steel. I cut through some 1/4 inch thick mild steel and it went through like butter. I decided to try this blade because the plumbers I work with recently did a bunch of demolition work taking out large steel pipe and cast iron drain pipe. They absolutely swear by these. This blade is substantially thicker and stronger than your typical sawzall blades. This one is built for cutting thick mild steel, stainless steel, and cast-iron. It would obviously cut through wood just fine as well.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Versatile and fast [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a landscaper who installs irrigation for lawns & gardens. This Sawzall Torch with Nitrus Carbine is a great help when having to install valves and water spiketts. It made quick work of both the steel water pipes and the pvc pipes I come across and use. I like the versatility of not having to change blades whenever I change pipe/metal so it saves me time as well as money. I only need one for all my jobs. Sawzall products have always been great and this just shows me that they're still on top of the game.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Works amazing [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I always have projects for my husband to do around the house and some of the times he cannot do them because we didnt have the correct tools well once I seen this sawzall blade I knew we had to have it. We were able to cut through some pesky pipes with ease. The teeth on the blade were incredibly strong and sharp not one issue during use. He even wanted to try to go through some other items in our yard and it worked amazingly. We highly reccomend the Milwaukee tool blades.

Rated 5 de 5 de par A must have if you repair older plumbing [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our primary business is rehabbing historic homes and Milwaukee Tools are the only tool brand we buy because they are built to last. Their Sawzall Torch with Nitrius Carbide Blade is no exception. If you need to cut through cast iron waste pipes, tubs or steam heat pipes, this blade gets the job done and lasts through several cuts. Normally I have to replace blades after every pipe I cut, but this one has lasted through three uses already and looks like new, so it has a lot of life left to it. A note of caution, be sure to wear protective face and eye covering and start out on slow speed until you get used to the cutting power. It can have quite a "kick" on high speed and works quickly and precisely as long as you are familiar with using these tougher blades.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Milwaukee 9 inch, 7TPI torch nitrus carbide teeth metal sawzall saw blade Is a very aggressive blade. I used it to cut pie shaped cut-cuts on both ends of 4- 2x2 tubes which will be used as brackets under a trailer to carry loading ramps. The cutouts allowed me to bend both ends 90 degrees to the tube, which will now be welded. Since I don't have a metal cutting band saw, the sawzall worked very well to make the cuts.Because of the blade's wider kerf, the blade didn't whip and bind like the standard sawzall blade.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the entire line of Milwaukee tools and accessories. Well made and commercial quality. This blade will not disappoint. It has an extra thick blade and made to withstand heavy sawzall use on thick metal (pipes, rebar, angle iron, etc). I tried it in my folding handheld sawzall blade tool (also from Milwaukee) and if fits perfectly (although due to the full length of this blade it won't fold in, because it is designed for 6 inch blades). Know matter, I can use this in a pinch if I have to. Great product.

I just checked, and it's on the Home Depot website. Look for "Nitrous Carbide Torch" and filter for only Milwaukee brand. https://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-6-in-7-TPI-TORCH-Nitrus-Carbide-Teeth-Metal-Cutting-SAWZALL-Reciprocating-Saw-Blade-48-00-5261/312422857 You'll love it!
