A bolt that was previously torqued at just 25 ft lbs, took 4 or 5 attempts from this tool to break it free, so the 200 ft lbs of nut-busting force is an obvious misnomer, in my book! I returned it the same day, as it just wasn’t worth $250! Plus, you cannot use it as a regular ratchet to loosen, nor tighten a bolt or nut! C’mon, Milwaukee! You need to fire some of your product designers, and hire actual trades people to get the best ideas and innovations built, anent your battery-powered tools! And why does this tool have to have a 2.2” thick head?! It’s too thick to get into tight spaces, when working in an engine bay, sadly!

Rated 4 de 5 de par It does the job I bought this tool a couple of weeks ago and had a chance to use it a few times. This thing works great for loosening bolts in tight spaces like the front of an engine where the fan is in the wat and a ratchet won't do it. The thing I really like about it is unlike a ratchet it won't try to pull you and crack your knuckles when you pull the trigger. This tool has plenty of power and had no trouble removing a 30/30 air brake chamber on a set of 44lbs. Rockwell axles. While this won't be my go to like the 1/2 inch high torque it does have it's place. The reason I gave it 4 out of 5 was because the feel of the handle and the trigger along with the forward and reverse dont seem ergonomic the way they are placed. Overall great tool for the job where space is limited and knuckle busting is not an option

Rated 1 de 5 de par Very Disappointed First let me say that I am an independent auto repair shop owner and am a staunch Milwaukee fanatic! I own nearly every mechanic oriented tool available from the red giant and am extremely pleased with ALL of them, until this unit. Sadly I have to agree with the many other posters here in saying that this right angle impact is sorely under powered and down right unusable. About the only thing it is good for is zipping off already broken loose fasteners with great speed, as it will not “break loose” anything even a little tight. It would appear that the engineers at Milwaukee might need to go back to the drawing board… especially considering how awesome products like the m12 stubby 3/8 impact are—- that is my absolute favorite tool and it’ll blast lug nuts all day without missing a beat!!

I work as an HVAC-R tech and were constantly working on equipment in tight spaces. This ratchet is amazing! It saves me a ton of time on motor change outs, condenser fans, compressor removals where you have to get in tight places. It's got a lot of power for a 12v and I've been totally impressed. Every one of my coworkers wants one now.. The power to speed ratio is perfect for my work and I love it. It's built much tougher than the previous model and overall feels very rugged.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Extremely Disappointed As a buf milwaukee fan, owning all their tools. I had to add this to my collection for mechanical work. Went to use it today with a 3.0 battery fully charged and it was not capable of taking off any lug nuts. Ended up trying a m12 6.0 battery full charge and still nothing but weak impacts for over a minute straight. I tried all 4 settings and yes it was in reverse. Ended up using a regular impact driver, and that easily took off the lug nuts. After job was finished i used this 3/8 right angle impact wrench to tighten the lug nuts. Check with my husky torque wrench and it was tightened at only 40lbs. Very dissappinting! Tighten luf nuts to 60ft-lbs with torque wrench, and tried with this right angle 3/8 again to take them off, nothing. Just impacts with zero movement on all settings. Ver disappointed with milwaukee on this tool!

Rated 4 de 5 de par Fast but not as powerful as I’d like Still haven’t found a consistent use for this yet. It works great for small stuff but seems weak for the size and doesn’t operate as a ratchet since it’s an impact. I tend to use the stubby impact instead of this because it packs way more power and is similar in compactness. I’m sure it would be more useful to someone who could use the reach of the handle. I can’t see it being used in automotive much because of the torque but it could be useful for installing lag bolts or work were you need the reach(which is where I see its advantage). It is very ergonomic and speedy but I’ll reserve this tool for light duty/non critical work.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Not really what I was expecting.. Sadly but true... highly disappointed! Not braking loose bolts or nuts... at 35lbs. I need to use a wrench to loose those bolts then use the Milwaukee 3/8 electric ratchet. I wanted to be able to use 1 tool to do a brake job as quick as possible to have a customer vehicle in and out in less time. Customers expectations are spend less time on repair shops. By the way I'm a mechanic

Rated 5 de 5 de par Fantastic tool and so glad I have one From working on my project truck I am so glad I have this tool. I would encourage anyone to give it a go. One suggestion is use the larger M12 packs for a little more life in a project. Overall I’m thrilled with it.

What does the m12 fuel mean. Some do not have that.

What does the m12 fuel mean. Some do not have that.
Posée par: mike
Fuel means it has a brushless motor, which is much stronger, will last much longer, and use a little less battery. Fuel is for pros and all day use, if you're a hobbyist, or weekend garage guy, theres no shame in using non fuel. Just look at the specs and make sure the tool will handle your projects you intend to do.

Juat purchased, why is this tool not capable of removing 90ft-lbs lug nuts on a bmw sedan on any of the 4 settings?

Posée par: MaziH
Those lug nuts may not be tightened to 90 ft-lbs. The jerks at the last local tire place I went to tightened mine to well over 300 ft-lbs.

Anyone know if this will remove the nut atop water heaters, to remove the anode rods?

Posée par: Jerry
Removing an old water heater anode rod is not easy as it’s going to be heavily rusted in. When it’s a new heater, shouldn’t be too difficult. But as they age, good luck. I’ve even had difficulties using an impact with 800 foot pounds.

Strong enough for brake bolts

Has anybody used this tool to open brake caliper nuts or other bolts to drain motor fluids? Is it easy to get into tight spots under the car? I have the powerful M18 impact wrench but that monster is almost too big for any automotive job except opening wheel’s lug nuts.
Posée par: Thi
Yes, I used it for the caliper bolts on my wife’s car which were extremely tight. Worked great.

Do you know when the left angle will be available?

Posée par: TST6
It is available, just flip the right angle over and it is a left angle. I hope your question was legitimate.

The description for this tool says up to 220ft lbs of torque, but the detailed specs say 200 instead. Which is correct?
