As a teacher, I have to sit out at recess at noon every day. It gets a little chilly sitting on the metal benches. This coat is perfect. The styling is nice and resembles other common styles. I love the thumb holes to help keep my hands warm. The side pockets are zipper pockets which is nice for keeping keys etc., safe. The heating element is the best feature, of course. The rechargeable battery is easy to snap into the adapter. The heating elements are similar to what you'd expect on a heated blanket. I got an XL. I am typically a size 12. The XL fit and was not roomy. The battery charger is also the same Milwaukee red and somewhat large charger they use with their drills.

Rated 5 de 5 de Palaranda par Embracing for the winter [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Although this jacket is not waterproof, it is accurately classed as resistance and I proved this myself this past few weeks by some aggressive hiking on the Appalachian Trail experiencing sudden rain and sleet showers and by the time I was ready to head home, the jacket was still dry inside. I experienced no problems whatsoever in switching the power control between the three settings and on the low setting I did embrace the warmth for approximately 7 and a half hours before running out of power. I did however I only used the heat for the first hour and after the days hike for another hour. So the supplied battery was good for four days. Carrying another four spare supply of batteries was more than enough to last me through the three weeks, although it would have been far more efficient for Milwaukee to come up with a different style of battery to use in these heated jackets. The battery compartment is at the lower back and toward the left side so that fortunately I did not find any discomfort in sitting down with the battery remaining in place. The two zipped side pockets are big enough for all my items, compass, maps, matches, and etcetera. To have these pockets with nice big strong zipper is a big plus. Lost track of the times I slipped on the wet rocks and it was assuring to know that the essential items were safely enclosed. The inside of the jacket is quite thin but nevertheless, it kept me warm despite the cold wet weather, even with the heat disabled. Following my few mishaps concerning sliding down an embankment when my feet suddenly decided they needed a rest, there were no signs of any damage. Arriving back home I put the jacket, minus the battery of course though a gentle wash and dry and was delighted to see how good it came out. An excellent addition to my hiking adventures. The only thing I should mention to others to be aware of is that I normally buy a large in jackets but this time I ordered an X-large and this size fitted me perfectly.

My mother took ill, and this kept her comfortable while she was up and about, instead of having to huddle wrapped in blankets. It is very comfortable, and even without the battery the jacket is quite warm. Further, it is water and wind resistant, so no worries if you get caught in wet weather. The only complaint I have about this jacket, or all the jackets in this series, is that they run small. I wear a medium normally and sometimes a large, but this extra large fit me perfectly. Please keep that in mind when ordering, and you'll be very happy with your purchase.

The interior is a thin, soft (but quite warm) fabric. It has two zippered pockets for your hands, and one zippered pocket where the battery is kept. The zippers are top notch YKK brand, and will last a good long while. The sleeves have wristlets at the end so you can wrap the bottom part of your hands and keep the cold wind out. The "M12" button on the chest controls the heating element on your back and collar. The hands icon button controls the pockets element. Each element has 3 heat settings which can be set independent of each other. When set on red, the highest setting, it gets hot, fast! This jacket can be washed and will still work if the washing instructions are followed. The jacket, charger, and battery were all made in China.

We heard good things about the coat before buying it, but it puts out an almost imperceptible amount of heat— even on the high setting. The heat generated is not worth the hassle of the battery and having a special coat. You can barely tell it is turned on.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Women’s Milwaukee M12 Heated Jacket Review We were given an opportunity to check out a women’s Milwaukee M12 jacket. Since the existing reviews seem to mostly say that the sizes ran small we ordered in one size larger than my wife would normally wear. That proved to be a good choice – the larger size jacket fit quite well. One of the problems in ordering online instead of in a brick and mortar store is the inability to try things on. We received the “kit” version of the jacket, which includes the Milwaukee M12 battery and charger as well as the jacket itself. The construction of the jacket is top notch – no loose threads, the zippers seem to be of excellent quality, the pockets are all lined and the seams are well stitched. There is a drawstring at the bottom of the jacket to keep the wind out and the cuffs are a snug fit on the wrists. There are two hand pockets, which are heated. The heat is controlled by a push button switch (see photo) on the front of the jacket with two hands showing as a logo. The other switch, showing the M12 logo, controls the heat across the collar and back of the jacket. Each switch has three positions – low, medium, and high. The logos change color from white to blue to red depending on which heat level is selected. The heat is powered on or off by holding down the switch for two seconds. To change heat levels only a quick press is required on the switch. There is an inside pocket which has a port through which a USB cable may be run to the battery (the cable isn’t included with the jacket). That allows the wearer to charge a cell phone, iPod, etc. when the device is in the pocket. The pockets have zipper enclosures. While not marketed as “waterproof”, Milwaukee does assert that the jacket is “water and wind resistant”. The jacket is washer/dryer safe (follow the instructions that come with the jacket and don’t forget to remove the battery!!!). Battery run time is claimed to be up to 8 hours (depending, of course, on whether it’s set to high, medium, or low). Charging time is estimated between 30 and 75 minutes, and being Lithium there is no “memory” effect so batteries can be charged even when only partially depleted. There are lights on the charger showing the battery charging state (“Bad connection”, “Charging”, “Fully charged”). Reading the short manual on the charging and care of the battery is recommended. The battery has a small switch which can indicate the level of battery charge. The battery goes into a pocket on the left rear of the jacket and attaches to a power cord that goes to the internal heating elements in the jacket. As far as value goes, the market price of the heated jacket is a bit above what we normally pay for a cold weather coat – but of course the Milwaukee M12 offers the convenience of the electrical heating. I think this would be a good “stadium” jacket – something to keep the wearer toasty while watching kid’s soccer or football games from unheated wooden bleachers. Milwaukee offers a one year warranty on the jacket, including the battery and charger. HTH Regards, Jim

Rated 4 de 5 de Ambamber par Great jacket with a few flaws. Love my new jacket. There are a couple things I would want to change. 1) there is no heating in the kidney area/lower back. The heat works great across the shoulders and chest. 2) the womans battery pack. Disappointing. My husband has a separate pocket for his battery but the womans has been sewn into the lining. So if you have a great fitting jacket, remember you'll need 4 inches of room on your hip because it pulls and sticks out.

Battery it comes with is a 16 watt hr, which I think is a 1.5 ah
