I have used pneumatic nailers my whole life and decided to give this cordless battery powered nailer and I have to admit, whatever concerns I had went right out the window as soon as I fired the nail. This nailer packs a punch and I feel like it works as well as a pneumatic nailer, but no need for a compressor and hose to fire nails. This is huge when it comes to tools and equipment I have to take to a job site. The nailer has a single fire option and a rapid fire option. I feel like it performs as well as a pneumatic but without the hassle of hoses and compressor and need for electricity to power the compressor. The cordless nailer is heavier then a pneumatic, but all things considered the nailer is a definite winner.

Rated 1 de 5 de par won't sink I bought one, after a couple weeks it stopped sinking nails. Returned to the store and got a replacement. Same thing within a couple days. Returned for a refund. When it works, it works great. I wish the hanger clip was extendable to allow hanging from a truss. Balance needs to be made more centralized. Weight can be frustrating, but the balance is what's wrong. too heavy at the back and nose of the gun. Need more weight to be in the center. Sometimes the contact firing mode will cancel and revert to extra safe mode if left for too long, which is annoying. I'll wait for gen 2 - hopefully it's in development, and isn't years away.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Almost perfect I’m a framer - so this gun isn’t used for full time framing - it’s too heavy for that. But its perfect to keep on site for the moments that arrive every day where it’s very convenient to have a hoseless gun on hand - change orders - back framing - solo work - framing a landing - tie-ups - some roof framing. The list goes on. The extended mag is perfect, and I like how the mag is not plastic therefore more durable. When I have the means, I’m for sure going to pickup a second gun. Milwaukee killed it. I only wish somehow the technology could be fiddled with so that it is made lighter - this beast is heavy, but packs a big punch. Go pick one up today!

Rated 5 de 5 de par From fuel and battery to Battery Only FUEL tool We have been buying the Paslode gun nails and gas for quite some time now. So we have a lot of experience with cordless nailers. This thing is a huge leap in the right direction. Way faster, no gas and sinks them the right amount into the wood (after a little adjustment for the wood type) I’m impressed and can’t wait to get my hands on the 21* version. Been waiting for that but grabbed this one up in the meantime with the extended mag. It’s great for pick up work in addicts and crawl spaces. I will own many of the 21* guns. SIDE NOTE since I know you guys take advice well ;) need the clip to go out the width of a stud for truss hanging

Rated 5 de 5 de par A great investment I recieved my 1st nailer as a gift about 15 yrs ago. Not being a professional carpenter, I thought it was overkill and a waste of money. Was I wrong, I found myself using it quite often. A shed, resizing larger windows, a porch, projects for others - I loved it. Finally, it broke and I began looking for a replacement. When I came across Milwaukee's nailer I just had to have one. No more compressors, no more messing with oil, no more tripping over hoses! This nailer is awesome - easy depth control and no more unknowingly running out nails. Trust me, you don't have to be a professional to realize the great value of this tool.

Rated 2 de 5 de par I will be returning this product. Framing carpenter Bought it yesterday, worked well for half the day yesterday. Made it until 10 am today. Started by only sinking nails in half way, then after a few times of doing that and adjusting stuff on the nailer is started making 3 loud fast clicks and didn't shoot anything. Tried changing batteries multiple times. Doesn't shoot nails at all now. I will be returning tomorrow morning. This being said I looked online and haven't found anyone else with the same problem. I could have just gotten 1 defective nailer. Milwaukee usually makes high quality tools, I thought if anyone could figure out an electric nailer, Milwaukee tool could. Back to the paslode

Rated 5 de 5 de par First time using it - framed up 24x24 garage Used a 5.0 battery lasted until lunch. Plenty of power, zero issues, zero malfunctions. Ran maybe 30 strips of nails through it. Gave it to my cousin who was hanging off the end doing rafter tails so he could maneuver easier. He was sold he is already fast and could go faster. I was nailing up the rafter to the ridge with a hosed framing gun and it felt like a pain fixing the hose all the time. Without the extended mag it can fit between rafters- the whole nailer. Glad for size and weight I didn’t have the extended mag actually.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Best cordless framing nailer I’ve used I’ve tried other brand cordless framers and never really liked them, orange or yellow, no good. This nailer is not light but I understand the reasons why, so I won’t ding it for that. Sinks nails into LVLs like it’s nothing, repeatedly. My only complaint I have is the protective nose, it doesn’t have enough surface area to keep from marking boards if you are shooting into cedar or likewise finish materials IE exterior trim boards with stainless/coated nails. And no where to store the protective nose piece on the tool either. Overall, although it just cleared the wall by an inch, home run Milwaukee!

How you turn up pressure to set nails

Posée par: Alleb
At the front of the nail gun there is a rotating dial that you can turn up or down so you can have plus or minus more pressure to set the nail in more or less

Which one is better the 30 degree or the 21 degree?

Posée par: Mike
Milwaukee’s 21- and 30-degree nailers have the same drive system and function basically identically. Which one is “better” largely depends on what you plan to do with it. If you need to get into tight spaces, as is often the case in remodeling and punch-list framing, the 30 is probably the better option. If you’re doing rough framing on small projects starting from scratch, the 21 is probably better - it has a slightly higher mail capacity. If you’re a production framer, you’ll want to stay away from either because 1. Both are heavy and not great for all-day use and 2. Unless you get an optional extended magazine, you’ll be reloading every minute.

Degree specifications

Posée par: FixItFelix
I have not tried the 33 degree nails however I will say this; Milwaukee would not advertise their 30-34 degree ability without thorough testing of such. I would feel confident in using 33 degree nails. Next time I purchase nails I will buy 33-34 degree nails and respond if they don't perform. That being said, you won't hear back from me. They will work.

Do paslode nails work in this?

Just wondering
Posée par: Clik
If you are asking about the Paslode gas nailer than yes, they both use 30-degree nails.

HI, can you provide the type/manufacturer/ product # for the recommended nail (assuming ~3" nail)?

Posée par: Damian
Use paper strip gun nails from 30 degrees to 34. Any manufacturer is fine as long as they are paper strips and the right angle.

A room in my basement has 2x2 furring strips on the foundation wall. I’d like to furr out the strips so I can add in insulation and hang drywall. Would this nailer work for attaching 2x3 onto 2x2?

Posée par: bob47
The maximum length of nail for the M18 Framing nailer is 3 1/4” and would not give enough holding strength when adding the 2 x 3. Although it does countersink somewhat however it would not grab to the 2 x 2. Hope this was helpful.
