But if you don't have a drill press or a very heavy duty hand drill and the ability to put your piece of work in a vice, be prepared to take a small beating. This hole saw will "catch" and want to twist your arm off. A small drill will simply not take the punishment if you have multiple holes to drill (I was making a wine rake in red oak and had 15 holes to drill). Worked great in my drill press or when I used my heavy duty hammer drill and vice in non-hammer mode. When I tried to use my regular DeWalt electric (corded) drill, it liked to beat me to death. And I was only drill partial holes.

I own 3 sizes ranging from 1” to 4.25” and am very happy with the quality and the durability of these saws. Those 1st time DIY’ers among you will want to use a drill with side handle as there is kick-back during use depending on the material to be cut and weight of the drill you’re working with. I just finished installing 12 recessed lights using both the 3.25” and 4.25” sizes which required overhead work on a 9’ drywall ceiling. Both drills left no chipping or unwanted marks as the cut is very clean. Removal of the cutout material is also super easy. Great product well worth the money!

Rated 5 de 5 de par Worth it if you need a large hole. I’ve owned a bunch of these Milwaukee hole saws in various sizes over the years and they all seam to just work. Most of my hole boring is done in hard and soft woods, but I’ve also used these in drywall and MDF. I even used one of the diamond variants to cut some holes in tile and that too worked flawless. These do tend to be a bit pricy, but once you have buy it you’ve probably never have to buy another one again. While I haven’t used these in solid metal, I have found they cut through nails in studs with ease. The big takeaway, if Milwaukee’s name is on it, you know it will work as advertised without any issues or defects.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Perfect for 3" Sch40 PVC Pipe Installed new 3" Sch40 pipe - an upgrade from an undersized 1-1/2" pipe. Bit created a clean hole through vinyl siding (in reverse), two layers of 1/2" sheathing, old clap-board siding and a 2x stud on its back. All while consuming some of the existing 2" hole. It also gnawed through two 10 penny nails encountered along the way. Just hope its not dull now :)

Rated 1 de 5 de par If cutting metal, look elsewhere Milwaukee is a good brand or so I thought. This saw wouldn't even cut through the sheet metal in a pickup bed to install gooseneck hitch. Don't waist your time with this if wanting to cut metal and thin metal at that.

Rated 3 de 5 de par Definitely not for stucco Picked up one of these to saw through stucco. I was looking for an abrasive one but my store don't carry any of those so a store clerk recommended this instead . In fact, these are the only type they carry at my HD store. Less than a cm into the stucco wall and the teeth are completely gone. For my experience, this would be a zero rating but I gave average because it would be unfair to the product since it probably was not made to cut stucco.

Rated 5 de 5 de par You will never go wrong buying Milwalkee Tools. Very easy to set up and use. I used these hole saws to cut holes in wood flooring and for some plumbing work I did and they worked great. They easily chewed through some old 1 inch hardwood flooring with no problem whatsoever! They didn't move or dance all over the place like the competetion, where they started cutting is where they made the hole. Any holesaw will have wood stuck in the tool after use. Stuck wood in a Milwalkee hole saw no problem . The engineers at Milwalkee designed these tools with punch holes in them so that you can take a punch or screwdriver and knock the wood right out.

Will Dewalt hole saw arbor fit this hole saw?

Posée par: outlet
Yes! If you read the description on the page for the milwaukee arbor, it states that it is universal to all hole saw brands. Given that info, there is no way to be universal to all hole saw brands, without all arbors being universal to milwaukee brand.

I’m using this to drill holes in hardibacker. I have an 18volt ryobi drill with fresh batteries and I can only get one hole with one battery.

Is that common?
Posée par: Gary
Try Lithium batteries. They come in a few sizes.. Buy the largest size. Ryobi has 1 that is made for a cordless chain saw.
