Rated 5 de 5 de par Worth it if you need a large hole. I’ve owned a bunch of these Milwaukee hole saws in various sizes over the years and they all seam to just work. Most of my hole boring is done in hard and soft woods, but I’ve also used these in drywall and MDF. I even used one of the diamond variants to cut some holes in tile and that too worked flawless. These do tend to be a bit pricy, but once you have buy it you’ve probably never have to buy another one again. While I haven’t used these in solid metal, I have found they cut through nails in studs with ease. The big takeaway, if Milwaukee’s name is on it, you know it will work as advertised without any issues or defects.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Perfect for 3" Sch40 PVC Pipe Installed new 3" Sch40 pipe - an upgrade from an undersized 1-1/2" pipe. Bit created a clean hole through vinyl siding (in reverse), two layers of 1/2" sheathing, old clap-board siding and a 2x stud on its back. All while consuming some of the existing 2" hole. It also gnawed through two 10 penny nails encountered along the way. Just hope its not dull now :)

Rated 1 de 5 de par If cutting metal, look elsewhere Milwaukee is a good brand or so I thought. This saw wouldn't even cut through the sheet metal in a pickup bed to install gooseneck hitch. Don't waist your time with this if wanting to cut metal and thin metal at that.

Rated 5 de 5 de par You will never go wrong buying Milwalkee Tools. Very easy to set up and use. I used these hole saws to cut holes in wood flooring and for some plumbing work I did and they worked great. They easily chewed through some old 1 inch hardwood flooring with no problem whatsoever! They didn't move or dance all over the place like the competetion, where they started cutting is where they made the hole. Any holesaw will have wood stuck in the tool after use. Stuck wood in a Milwalkee hole saw no problem . The engineers at Milwalkee designed these tools with punch holes in them so that you can take a punch or screwdriver and knock the wood right out.

Rated 1 de 5 de par I did not have success using this product I used this with a 1/2” Milwaukee 18v drill and it would not turn it at low speed and kept catching and jerking my arm violently at higher speeds. The auxiliary handle on the drill actually broke off and then the drills continued turning nearly broke my wrist when the saw caught in the wood. Milwaukee needs to specify a proper size drill and max speed for using this as a safety precaution. I literally had smoke running out of two smaller drills before switching to the Milwaukee drill. But NONE of them worked with the six inch hole saw in plywood. What a complete disappointment.

Bored 20 holes in 1/4" steel plate and this saw is as sharp after the last as it was on the first. Used plenty of cutting oil, enough pressure to produce continuous chips, and 250 rpm speed on my drill press. Holes are clean and round. All this and a lifetime tooth breakage warranty? Very impressive and highly recommended.

I was using the hole saw to drill 1 inch holes in wood and was very disappointed in the ability to go through. It almost seems like the tool was not sharpened property. Would definitely purchase a different brand of hole saw next time.

Can you use the dozer with using a drill bit auger? I am trying to drill a hole through a wood floor over a concrete floor...and want to reuse the "plug". Thanks!
Posée par: Paul
The hole saw is to screwed onto an arbor (these come in different sizes for various hole saw sizes) and the pilot drill bit begins the process of drilling the hole until the saw bites into the wood. Now, the concrete below the wood will deteriorate the hole saw's teeth, but that may be acceptable if it gets the job done. If the hole is to be continued through the concrete, a masonry drill of the correct size should be used. I hope this information is helpful.

I need to fit a 1 inch DIA wood dowel in to a 1 inch DIA wood hole. Does the hole have to be at least 1 mm wider than the dowel for it to fit properly? Also, how deep of a hole can I drill with this drill bit?

Posée par: Kate
Hi Kate! Our 1-Inch Hole Dozer Bi-Metal Hole Saw will have a cutting depth of 2.63 in
