Rated 5 de 5 de par Some tips on use Product came folded. This creates folds and bumps. Although it is thick,(40mil) it works best when it lies flat. Lay it out in the sun if possible or use a heat gun on low while membrane is laying out flat, turns into butter. Very easy to work with. Corners glue up with X-15 Oatey adhesive. Nice clean job. Also used MarkE positive weep hole protector and Kirb Perfect, very slick products.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Just Good Enough I bought this due to comparison of cutting from a raw roll, this save me a bit of expense. The only the shipment has to wait for time delivery to the shop pick up. One thing that some buyer complaint the fold line on the material that will cause you a bit suffer during installation. What I found that I hang it over a pole under minor sunlight for several day, the result the fold line getting much flatten. Finally, I have no problem on the fold line anymore. Now,, just wait for installation Are ther more comment on this products. I shall post it later after the work done. Thanks for your Reading..

Rated 4 de 5 de par Oaty Shower Pan Liner At 40 mil thickness, the liner is very strong and not easily punctured, but it comes folded and getting the liner to lay smoothly on the floor is problematic. I even unfolded it two days prior to laying it and it was still difficult. The instructions gave no suggestions to alleviate the problem. Seaming was easy following instructions and the proper cement sealer.

The material is easy to work with overall but especially in the corners where making the proper folds matters the most. The additional corner pieces when installed give just enough added security. Great buy; correct size needed

Rated 5 de 5 de par water tight pan liner Heavy pvc membrane should be durable enough for the intended purpose. Adhesives made for this material do a good and easy job of making watertight lap seams. You could make a pretty tough custom water tank with this stuff. Whenever possible, though, I would use the off-the-roll version to avoid the fold creases, but that depends on the width needed.

This was simple to install. The one thing I will say, I felt like the installation instructions and supplies needed wasn't simple and straight forward. Don't forget to purchase oatey x-15 with this product.

Leaving it sitting out on the floor for a day made no difference. In the end it took me quite a while with a hair dryer to get them out - one by one! So that was a little frustrating and time consuming. Next time I'll try and find a product that is rolled up, not folded. But at the end of the day it's a PVC shower pan liner and it works.

can you tile over this product and what type of tile adhesive do you use
Posée par: kat
No, you cannot tile directly over this product. Typically you would build a shower pan on top of this liner using some form of bed mud, or dry pack mortar.

How to add cement to vertical liner

My contractor used this and did everything for the shower floor for me (cement etc...) but this liner is exposed on the bench. How would I tile the sides of the bench? I feel like anything I use would just slide right down.
Posée par: Liz
The PVC liner should not be exposed on the bench, there should be a layer of mortar on top of the liner as thin-set & tile will not adhere directly to the liner itself. Also, not having the mortar on top of the liner on the bench would expose it more to leaks if there was one.

Do they make 6’ wide pan liner

Posée par: Richard
I am not sure if they make a different size liner, but there is a pvc glue that you can use to join liners together to get the dimension that you need. I did that on a walk in shower and had good success. The glue is by the same company that makes the liner.

Can you splice and glue 2 pieces of the Liner together with PVC glue? I need a bigger liner but don't need a 40' Roll....
Posée par: JW
Yes. You have to use the X-15 adhesive. One of the main things is to make sure the six-inch seam overlap you will need doesn't fall over the drain. The seam has to fall on the slope down to the drain, and it should fall on the longest slope in the pan, if there is one. On the overlap, make sure the piece coming down is on top and the piece coming up is on the bottom, just in case the bond ever fails anywhere along the seam. Flood test your pan correctly before you go on. Good luck to you.

Are you able to cut this to fit a 5 by 3 shower?

Posée par: Tam70
Hi, Tam. You should run this preferably seven to ten inches up the sides of your pan. This is too small for a reliable installation on a 3 x 5 shower lengthwise. It will only go six inches up front and back, although the sides will be fine. Trying to do the best you can with limited material in this application is a nightmare.
