I grabbed these hangers to put our key holder back up after repainting certain areas of my home. I used nails the first time around but replaced them with these. These hangers make only a small hole but sit firmly in place. The nail is driven into the wall at a downward angle. This allows the plate to rest flush against the wall which makes the hanger very secure. I was able to drive them in by hand but if you use a hammer, only tap them lightly. These hangers cost more that plain nails but they are still relatively inexpensive, easy to use, leave much smaller holes in the walls, and work great.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Works like a champ I've used these to hang 20x30 inch and 16x20 inch frames and they work great. I especially like the fact that the "ring" lies flat against the wall and helps distribute the load so you get no distortion of the hole where the smaller than normal nail goes into the wall. I'm very well pleased with them!

Rated 5 de 5 de par Holds pictures secure on walls I've used these for years and they are so easy to use and make hanging things so easy. I've never had them get all bent out of shape or put large holes in the wall. You need to hammer them in on an angle, not straight in. If you hammer them straignt in then it will not hold your picture and then you will create a hole in your wall. When hammered in at an angle, the disc will be flat against the wall.

The picture shown here is kind of poor because it fails to show the angle in profile. The spike is set into the disk at an angle. You simply push (hammering usually not needed) the hanger in, such that the disk portion is flush and flat against the drywall. They never budge after that. Great!

The round disk keep the hanger from slipping down or out and hold the hanger at a good angle. Effective to do the job. I have they held up in the last earthquake without any issues.

Trust me...it's a very small hole...and this design is one of the best for picture hangers and very easy to use.

How much does the shaft stick out beyond the disc?

Some picture frame mounts are recessed behind the frame.
