Acrylic sheet was typical of acrylic...tough, easily cut with jig saw and router pattern bits as well as using a belt sander that works nicely to sand curves in acrylic. The sheet was covered with protective film on both sides except near the edges. I used it to build and repair a sliding window on a RV, which worked very well since acrylic is much stronger than glass. Using a dial calipers, I found the thickness varied a few thousands along the edges from thickness in sheet center...in all it varied from .115” to.120” which was acceptable in my effort to replace 1/8” (.125”) window glass. It is said acrylic takes 10 years to yellow from UV sunlight, only time will tell. Clear acrylic is commonly used on motorcycle windshields and is a good material to replace storm door glass. The acrylic seems unreasonably expensive at nearly $80 plus tax for a 36” x 60” sheet. Otherwise satisfied with the product,

After my 3 and 4 year old kids broke 2 TV screens I used this to cover my third 4K TV. Worked Great can't even tell that the glass is there. Cuts easily with a knive and breaks easily too once cut. I would buy it again.

Can this be cut with a circular saw? What type of blade do you recommend?

Posée par: Steve
This material can be cut using a circular saw. If using a standard 7 1/4 inch blade we recommend using a medium course blade with at least 60 teeth.

Cutting an arch

I will need to cut an arch in this material. I want to use a rotosaw. Will that work ? What would you recommend
Posée par: Rick
Please visit your local Home Depot and go to Millworks department (doors and windows). There, they can help you Special Order a product and have it cut to the arch shape you would like. I would suggest having a sketch with the exact dimensions.

Can you drill a small hole for a bolt to attach it to another piece of material?

Posée par: Chuck
Yes, you can drill holes into this material. You need to make sure that you drill the holes slightly larger than the screw/bolt that is going to hold it in place due to the natural expansion and contraction of the material.
