Rated 5 de 5 de par Works well! It works amazingly well to inhibit the growth of moss on the shingled roof!

Rated 1 de 5 de par Not Good I installed this item one year and did not see any improvement. So the next year I installed another strip under the original strip. All that this item did was add extra holes in my roof and did nothing for the moss.

Will the Moss Boss remove old fungus stains from the roof?

    Posée par: Anonyme
Hi there, thanks for your question. This product will keep new growth from taking hold, but it will not remove existing material. It is recommended to begin with a clean surface when installing the Moss Boss. Thank you!

Where is Moss Boss installed on the roof? Under the edge of the ridge caps?

    Posée par: Anonyme
Hi there, thanks for your question. Ideally this is installed as close to the ridge cap as possible, preferably under the ridge cap. This ensures the maximum effect of the product. Thank you!

Could Moss Boss stain or discolor a white 3 tab shingle roof? This is a new installation.

    Posée par: Mike
Hi Mike, and thanks for your question. While we have never experienced any kind of staining or discoloration with this product, we suggest testing on a small piece of the shingle to be sure that it won't be affected. There is no pigmentation of any kind added to the zinc strip.

I am thinking of using Moss Boss to control algae on a vertical concrete wall (about 12 foot high) by fastening the tape along the top of the wall.

Has this application been tested and found to work?
    Posée par: Anonyme
Hi there and thank you for your inquiry. This application has never been tested so we cannot guarantee the results.

How is this zinc moss strip installed on existing roof?

I have a fairly steep asphalt shingle roof. The original zinc strips were not installed properly and the wind has worked them loose. The ridge shingles have fused to the underlieing shingles and I dont think it will be easy to pry them up to slip the new moss strip in. I see other products have a water tight gasket for the nails. How is the Moss Boss installed in order to prevent leaking?
    Posée par: Anonyme
Hi there and thank you for your inquiry. When installing the zinc moss strip on an existing roof, 2” of the strip should be exposed with 5/8” under the shakes/shingles. All existing moss or fungus should be removed prior to installation.
