Rated 5 de 5 de par Beautiful view This glass just drops into the slots on the deck rail framing. Looks great - we could'nt be more pleased. Easy installation. A professional company quoted upwards of $145/ linear foot installed. Nice , but I did the job easily at less than 1/3 the cost with 6 hours of easy work ( not too fast a worker)

Rated 3 de 5 de par Will not work with most staircases I used this railing system for my new deck, but now that I am building a staircase I am in trouble. The longest length is 6 ft and I need 12 feet of railing since it is illegal to require the hand to be lifted from the handrail to go over a post to grab the handrail again. Their continuous handrail kit is also not an option. It does not have pickets. So you have to build a complete staircase railing system from somewhere else and then screw on this additional handrail beside it. It looks silly. Any deck height that is more than about 3-4 feet will not work with Peak Products staircase railing system.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Looks fantatstic!!! I love the product, I looks real nice when it is finished. The only down side of the product is they get you for cost on everything. Everything is sold separate, if you buy the posts you need to buy the base cover, if you buy the glass you need to buy the glass seal. Things like these go hand in hand and don't work with out the other. just another added cost, should be packaged together

Rated 3 de 5 de par Not 42 inches Home Depot, update the specifications on this please. The panel under specifications says 66 by 42, it is not. it is 66 by 36 5/16. The 42 is for a finished rail panel with parts additional to this, which would also change the width when installed so why list one as is dimension and one as installed dimension? Misleading at best

Rated 2 de 5 de par Pickets rattle, instructions antiquated The end result was ok, but I have two areas of feedback: 1) It took much longer than expected. The instructions appear vey clear but failed to identify which brackets went where. Further instructions were laid out in steps A, B, C etc. Some of the brackets were labeled A, B, C, but these things did not correlate to the steps. Cutting the railing was a bit more challenging than I expected with a hacksaw. Took a while to make the 4 cuts and to ensure the angles were correct 2) I think as someone else mentioned, the pickets rattle when you walk on the deck.

Rated 4 de 5 de par The fence itself looks great and enhances the safety of... The fence itself looks great and enhances the safety of stepping down off our front porch. However, the do-it-yourself videos are a joke and would require an individual with six arms to attempt to follow the on-line directions. I first attempted to follow the directions of assembling the stair rail in place, vertically, on the steps. Then, I started over again and assembled the stair rail laying on the floor in my living room. I previously determined the angle of the rail and assembled it at that angle inside the house. Then I carried it outside and installed it. You should put together a video using my method and possibly prevent future cases of shingles in the future. Sincerely, Jeff

Rated 3 de 5 de par Railing ends not cut square We bought four of the eight foot railings since we needed to splice the railings together for a longer run of stairs. The ends of the railings are not square when measured with a square. When attempting to use the splice insert there is a gap at the joint. If you are going to splice these you will need to cut the railing ends square first. This seems a needless step for a machined product which should be square to start with. I would not have bought them if I had know they were not accurately constructed. We used them but had to shorten the railing a little to cut the ends square.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Impressive I bought these 5 years ago, they were easy to install, I've always been careful not to brake them. This winter a lot of snow and ice came down from my steel roof and hit my rail, 1 glass got off and fell 11 feet down on ice, I was sure I it would be in pieces but I was very surprised to see it in 1 piece, not even a scratch on it. WOW

We are considering the RailBlazer for our new deck. We have an area that the deck is butted up against the pool. Would you recommend the glass railing for beside a pool?

Don't see why not. It's waterproof, of course, with runoff holes in the design. If you secure it well it's strong; Strongest if you have a right angle somewhere along the rail run. If you're leaving an opening gap at some point you might notice some play, but you'd find that with wood as well.

Do I have to leave a space between the post and the glass, I know it says a max of 3 inches in between, but we want it to be butt up against the posts. ( trying to block mosquitoes)

Hello and thanks for your question. Yes ideally there is at least a 1/2 inch gap left between the post or spacer and the glass.
