Rated 4 de 5 de par Good value on 4' fluorescent tubes [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These Philips, 32 watt, 4' bight white, T8 size fluorescent (tube) bulbs are a great replacement for many fluorescent light fixtures around your home or business. They are packaged in a two-pack, with model # "F32T8/Bright White/3000K". They cast a warm-white glow vs. the sharper, more cooler white that a cool white or daylight bulb produces. I have them throughout the finished lower level of our home for a "warmer" look.

For all of the people that do not know the difference between "bright white", "cool white", and "Daylight" in neon, I would recommend a statement explaining the differences to prevent returns. I selected "Bright" and when I put in in my kitchen, it looked ORANGE while the other neons were absolutely WHITE. I went back and exchanged for the "cool" and it matched with the other absolutely white neon lights. So "BRIGHT WHITE" is really ORANGE while "COOL WHITE" is absolutely WHITE. "DAYLIGHT" was not available there so I don't know what it looks like. Perhaps an expert can produce a short information sign at the neon light area.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Beautiful light. I really like the light from these bulbs in my shop. It makes the colours pop and makes it easier on the eyes. I highly recommend these for a woodworking shop.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Thinner than reg fluorescent, but fit standard fixtures, warm white, LED, bright [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are thinner than regular fluorescent bulbs, but fit into a standard fluorescent fixture. These are warm white, I prefer daylight, but I am using them in a TV room fixture and they work great. They are LED, so they use much less electricity than regular and last far longer. So they will lower your energy bill. They are 3000K which is warm light. They are the standard 48 inches long. 32 lumens brightness They are listed as lasting 30,000 hours.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Warm white light from a fluorescent [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These fluorescent light bulbs offer a sleeker look than traditional fluorescents. They have a smaller diameter, but fit the traditional ballast well. The tubes come in a two-pack, which is convenient for the consumer as most fluorescent ballasts need to have both tubes changed out at the same time. The light that is emitted is a warm amber. This is less glaring and harsh than the "cool white" that many fluorescent lights have, and it enhances reds, oranges and purples in the surrounding decor. These bulbs work nicely in the kitchen, bedroom, entertainment room or any area where you wish to create a comforting and homey ambience. As an experiment, I am also going to replace the spent bulbs in a Gro-Light fixture - it will be interesting to see how the different spectrum affects seedlings and plants.

This bulb is plenty bright, but a cooler temperature than I expected (5000k) is stated to be a "daylight temp., but it is a bit artificially white to me, no warmth at all. Otherwise very good, and a bit shorter and smaller than other comparable bulbs, so it will fit into some lamps and fixtures that the larger ones won't.

DO THESE REPLACE T12'S USING THE SAME SOCKETS ??

Posée par: Anonyme
There are two issues. The sockets used to seat T12 bulbs will seat T8 bulbs just fine. But the bigger issue is the ballast that regulates the current and provides the appropriate voltage to operate. A T12 ballast will drive T8 bulbs but it really isn't a good idea since it will over drive the bulbs, heating the T8 bulbs up and reducing their life. In some cases they might not even work with a picky bulb. Your best bet if you don't want to replace the entire fixture is to buy a T8 ballast (You can buy ones to drive 1, 2,3 &4 bulbs) and replace your old one(s). I had old T12 fixtures (with 4 bulbs driven by two ballasts). I ripped out both T12 ballasts from the fixture. I replaced them with a single ICN-4P32-N T8 ballast to drive 4 new T8 bulbs. If you only have two bulbs you could buy an ICN-2P32-N which will drive two bulbs. With these Phillips T8 ballasts you can drive 1 or 2 bulbs with a 2 bulb ballast; or drive 3 or 4 bulbs with a 4 bulb ballast. These ballasts run in parallel (not series) so if one bulb dies it doesn't affect the others. The rewiring of the ballasts isn't difficult.

I need to replace Satco F32T8/741/ENV which is apparently discontinued. Would this bulb be compatible?

Posée par: JohnTN
This would replace your satco bulb, but it is a different color temperature. If you are looking for the direct replacement at same color temperature please see www.homedepot.com/p/303811442
