Rated 4 de 5 de par This LED Worked Well I have tried several types of GU-10 bulbs in my home theatre. My favourite so far was an ALT 5 watt bulbed that dimmed well, and had good brightness and colour, compared to the 50 watt halogen. It's been hard to find something as good since, and this ALT bulb is now hard to find. So I've been searching..... Along comes the new Philips 4 watt GU-10. I plugged it in, saw that it threw off substantial light, good colour, dimmed extremely well, right down to almost zero output. I am very happy with this GU-10, and I'll use them exclusively for the theatre, and perhaps other places. Saving over 90% of the electrical input pleases me more than any other factor, but it had to perform. This bulb does. Try one and see how it goes. The 12 watt Philips "regular" light bulbs are also excellent. I will use them in ALL of my sockets, buying them one or two at a time. Tom.

Rated 5 de 5 de par I am a journeyman electrician and these bulbs work great if you have 35 watt max pot lights. I have 7 of them in my kitchen and they work fine. a 35 watt gu10 is not super bright to begin with. If your interested in saving 35 watt divided by 4 watts is a savings of 875% not bad when the price per kilowatt is going to be doubling soon. the led brightness has come a long way over the last 3 years. the options are getting better and the actual brightness and color of the light is where it needs to be. buy a couple and try them out. People are going to have to get used to a little reduction in light if they want to save money on power costs. 875% savings isnt a bad start. if you have 4" pot lights try the 4" retro kit. works great!

Rated 1 de 5 de par so my old 50W bulbs were burning out very quickly so i decided to try these, well first of all they are NOT flood, they are like the previous post, they are spot lights more than floods. Also they say they are dimmable BUT you have to have the appropriate LED dimmer switch for them to work properly, and they say they do not make a noise but they buze ALOT!! My suggestion is to by the regular bulbs and for the price of these you will be ahead of the game by buying a 6 pack of normal halogen lights for 15$.

Rated 2 de 5 de par Poor sizing, very narrow light pattern. I have a number of track lighting fixtures that are a minimalist small head design (purchased from Home Depot). These fixtures accept a standard Phillips halogen GU10 nicely but will not accept a Phillips GU10 LED as Phillips has chosen to design the replacement LED with a wider and shorter neck. I did find a fixture they will fit and discovered that the light pattern, described as 25 degrees on the box, is more like a spot than the flood that this is sold as. I find it difficult to understand why Phillips would produce an LED that is clearly not a direct replacement for it's halogen equivalent. Make sure your fixtures have plenty of room before trying this product and be aware of the very focused light pattern.

This has a GU10 base (Twistline). I am not familiar with a F7 base (is this a date code).
