Rated 5 de 5 de par great sensor love the motion sensor functionality and ease of use

Rated 4 de 5 de par Nice device, but like all Hue a little over priced. The main reason I didn't do 5 stars is the cost seems high for this. Works great though. I've got it setup to put my floods to high when triggered then return to low after 5 minutes.

Rated 2 de 5 de par Constantly gets triggered at the lowest setting I like Hue products but I think my outdoor sensor is defective. My outdoor sensor is mounted under a stoop but still constantly gets triggered by traffic over 30 ft away and the sensitivity settings down to the lowest setting. I'm ready to throw this thing away and it's only a few months old.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Useless I bought this and the required hub. Neither will connect. App is extremely frustrating as well. In the effort to make things simple during set up, the lack of ability to manually fix any issues has seriously compromised this product. Will look for better options.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Wish it came with a sliding window Wish it came with a sliding window to adjust active detection zone; I have to put on some tapes to block areas. Overall it’s a solid sensor of good sensitivity and fast response.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Hue Outdoor Sensor Says it's HomeKit compatible but no HomeKit code on the box, instructions or device. Had to set it up in Hue app, but to use it in HomeKit you can't use it in Hue app, yo sync with HomeKit and can't use it in the Hue app. Worked in HomeKit about one day, and now "This accessory is not responding." I go to Hue app, to sync accessory with HomeKit, I get the 'check mark' but it still doesn't work in HomeKit. Really poor integration, I bought it for HomeKit compatibility, probably wasted my money.

This is a great product if you need the sort of thing, has a lot of great software features and the battery lasts a very long time, easy to install he could have it working within minutes. We have a few of them, one in front the turns on the front lights when people arrive at night on dark, we have a few in the back it turns on the side lights in the yard, within the software you could set one minute to minute three minute or however long you need the lights to stay on before it goes off again.

I have an issue with deer in my garden right outside my back door, can this be used to send an alert to our iPhones so we can loose the dogs (or as I like to say "let slip the Dogs of war!!!") to scare them away? Also is there a way to set some type of buzzer, whistle or other loud noise in order to train the deer that the dogs are coming? BTW, we have a bridge outside the house to give the patio WiFi service so network access is not an issue.
Posée par: EndDeerTyranny
They make motion sensor water sprinklers but the deer get used to them. I guess I am looking for a scarecrow with a brain!

Will it work at night and in daylight? Can it detect cats and dogs?
Posée par: Morgan
I use it with the Hubitat Elevations hub, and you can set the sensivity. I had to set it all the way down, and it works great there. It will detect cats and dogs if you don't set it low enough, and have it in a good spot.

What is the latency of this. Is it bluetooth to save energy? I have found bluetooth has a higher latency.
Posée par: Colorado
It's zigbee, and seems to operate very quickly. The largest latency will probably in the response you program into the hub you connect it to.

Does this work with Apple HomeKit??

Posée par: Khan
Yes! Philips Hue is compatible with Apple HomeKit. To connect Philips Hue to Apple HomeKit, you need the Philips Hue app (version 9.3 or higher) and the Bridge v2 (square-shaped). Open the Philips Hue app and navigate to Settings > HomeKit and Siri. Follow the on-screen prompts to create a new Home for Siri voice control. Apple HomeKit automatically opens your camera so you can scan the HomeKit code found on the bottom of your Philips Hue Bridge. After successfully pairing your HomeKit to your Bridge, you can control your lights with your voice using Siri.

If this is battery operated... what is the temperature rating? Wouldn't the battery freeze in negative temperatures? Curious as this is sold in Canada.

Posée par: yyc_diy
• IP rating: IP54 • Minimal battery lifetime: 2 year(s). The sensor has been tested to work in rain and at temperatures between -20 degrees Celsius (-4 Fahrenheit) to 55 degrees Celsius (131 Fahrenheit). At temperatures above 30 degrees Celsius (86 Fahrenheit), the performance of the sensor may be reduced. The sensor remains operational below -20 degrees Celsius (-4 Fahrenheit), but the batteries may drain faster or may not be able to provide sufficient energy to the device. If you use the sensor for longer periods of time, we recommend that you replace the batteries with AA Li-ion batteries, which perform better at lower temperatures.

It lists IFTTT in the specification chart. Because of that, I bought one of these... it appears that it is not at all IFTTT compatible, even thru the HUE HUB. If I am wrong, can someone tell me how to make it initiate an IFTTT trigger ?
