Rated 2 de 5 de par Works but has issues with software and app display I have had this for a few days the app crashes frequently and is very slow in response. The easy install was nice and it started reporting immediately. I was very interested in water pressure and temperature both reported but not overtime only snapshots that limit the use of the app. Online help and interface have a rediculous long delay, this is poor programming. I'm very disappointed in your software, for such a wonderful product how can you have such a poor software interface this may make the difference in using this product versus other competitive monitors.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Stopped sending data after two years, no support. Mine died after 30 months of use. Customer service/tech support was not interested in doing any troubleshooting after they learned it was a few months beyond the amazing two year warranty. The unit boots, displays lights, joins my network, but will not send data. The only thing tech support is interested in was selling me another. It’s amazing that I could pull my old WRT54G router out of a box and it still works 20 years later, but this $300 meter can’t last three years. For shame Phyn.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very useful tool for any homeowner. It monitors the pressure on both the hot and cold water lines and correlates it to flow around your house. They claim it will not be as accurate without a back pressure valve installed at the inlet of your house. If you do not have one I would not expect accurate water usage but the rest of the functions seem to work okay. I am really only using it for monitoring for catastrophic events like a leak or blown pipe. There are a couple times it notified me of abnormal usage from the kids playing upstairs with a sink which was very nice. With that said it is not a perfect product. It took several tries to get the device to finally pair. The QR code did not work for me and I had to manually enter the ID a couple times before finally working. It also will not identify everything in my home perfectly. It struggles differentiating the ice maker from a toilet, for example. Make sure you also find a spot in your house where you can attach the device to your water lines and plug it in as well. Ideal place is under kitchen sink but if you don't have an outlet you may need to have an electrician add one.

It is very expensive and a high end toy that might never get used. Have you ever left your car running for a while and forgot that it was running? OK, maybe I have once or twice. LOL. But, I've NEVER left water running and walked away or left the house with water running. It works well, but I don't find it necessary FOR ME. Maybe for you it's what you need, then cool!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] High tech junkies like myself will agree this this product has features that will please most of them. The installation is one of the easiest I have done. It literally took 10 minutes..Pros: well thought out instructions and a well designed transmitters allow fitting in the tightest spots. Cons: connectivity and self i.d. errors halted installation in its tracks. Will call customer service , seems there is a firmware issue. The app wont even recognize the unit i.d. number out of the box. Strange.

Rated 4 de 5 de par 1st gen better wi-fi I have 2 of these devices, a first generation and second generation. Both work great at alerting of leaks, high pressure, and pipe freezes. However, the 2nd generation has a very weak antenna and no ability to add an external antenna. This means I have to have a wi-fi extender literally sitting on top of the phyn device to allow it connect to wi-fi. The gen1 device works fine without any extenders and is further from my wifi AP. Brought this up to support and they indicated its normal, hopefull this is fixed with gen3.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted to get a leak detector if we're away from home for a period of time. It would be a second set of eyes besides a neighbors periodic checks. This unit had great reviews. It is different than the units that you place on the ground and if water should leak they will send and alert. I didn't want to have units in multiple locations. I had some difficulty with setting up the first unit and when I called customer service they determined I had a faulty sensor. They overnighted me a new unit and ask me to call when I received it to be sure it was working and that I didn't have any issues. They also spent time reviewing different aspects of the system. It is up and running and takes 2-3 weeks for the system to recognize what appliance is in use.I can't stress enough how great the customer service was plus the system makes you aware of the amount of water you use and how you use it. Physically setting up the unit was easy, I was a little technologically challenged but their customer service came through for me

Using the plumbing check feature, it will detect a drip or pinhole leak. Plumbing check works by turning off your water main and monitoring pressure for about 10 minutes.

Will this work in a house that has multiple hot water heaters?

I own a 3 family home with common cold water supply, one prv, but 3 seperate water heaters.

It will detect the water flow in all three homes. If this is what you want then it will work for you, otherwise this is not the product for you.

I don't see any installation guides. Where would this be installed--photos look like under a sink, which doesn't make much sense. Shouldn't it be main hot (hot water heater) & cold plumbing lines?

It is designed to be installed under any sink. Keep in mind that you will need to have an electrical outlet nearby to plug it in. I installed mine in the basement on my utility sink because I had easy access to both the plumbing and an outlet (near the washer).

I have two home but the the second did not have PRV. If I put this unit in the second home it will work and that will show both of the home use or only the second home
