Rated 4 de 5 de par Nice Light Fixtures The light fixtures were ordered to replace similar fixtures that were installed when the house was built 17 years ago. My wife liked the appearance of the original light fixtures. I was glad to see that the new fixtures were built better then the old ones. When I took down the old light fixtures I could see evidence of arcing by the black marks on the underside of the old fixtures. This is a definite fire hazard that I was happy to resolve.

Rated 2 de 5 de par When I bought my house, it was equipped with these in 6 locations (probably installed 11 years ag... When I bought my house, it was equipped with these in 6 locations (probably installed 11 years ago just before I bought it). My experience using 25W incandescent bulbs with these was poor: the little globe bulbs last maybe a year at most, so I ended up changing bulbs frequently. I started replacing with LED bulbs, only to find that after enough time the sockets inside (non-replaceable) stop making a good electrical contact. Eventually every one of these in my house was only able to supply power to 2 bulbs. Second complaint: the light cast by these units is very uneven, due to the brass parts casting shadows from the tiny filaments in the bulbs. I've just replaced these with modern low-profile LED units from Feit Electric, and am happy to be rid of them.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Great buy. Bought this to replace the same light. The previous one , which was probably 15 years old or more, started to tarnish as it was scratched and touched without gloves. I love the reflections that are thrown on the ceiling and walls when the lights are on!

Rated 3 de 5 de par It was difficult to install. It was difficult to install because you have to put the cover so the screws will align with the holes of the cover. The screws are not stable and you have to keep moving the cover around until they align!

Rated 5 de 5 de par The light I was looking for. Since I am into neither the gothic castle look, nor the bordello look, I was looking for a classic light for my hall. This one filled the bill, was a reasonable price, and it came quickly. Installation took a bit because the instructions were garbage, but it's up and an improvement over what was there.

Yes, (3 )25 watt bulbs is what it calls for and gives plenty of light. My electrician suggested led bulbs which I will try once I need to replace them . It's a beautiful fixture!

You will remove the bottom ball nut from the fixture and the glass unit will drop down so the bulb can be replaced. Thanks

Hello Hope, The 9.75 inch 3-Light Flush Mount has the ability to use LED bulbs as long as the LED equivalent wattage does not exceed the maximum rated incandescent wattage. The maximum incandescent wattage is 25 watts. Thank You

I am also very frustrated as I cannot find a 25 watt candelabra bulb that is short enough to allow room to put cover on light. It is a design flaw that the bulbs are straight up and down as opposed to being to the side. can you recommend a specific led candelabra that is ornate and fits the height limitations?
