Rated 2 de 5 de par Frustration with fitting..... This was supposed to be a simple attachment, however it was more a frustrating one. The instructions are not very clear but the most annoying part where the screws provided to attach the light to it's mounting. They were too long which causes the light not to fit flush against the ceiling. When I went to get shorter ones I found out that they were non standard sizes and the standard sizes do not fit it!!!! aaaahhhhh Finally it was not clear that to insert the light bulb required the removal of the front of the light piece more aaahhh At least it looks good and provides good lighting once I finally got it fitted (though not snuggly fitted!).

Rated 4 de 5 de par Directional light fixture [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The mounting screws were too long, but using a wire stripper that incorporated a screw trimmer, installation went OK. I used small floresent bulbs to cut down on the 50 watt use. I can now easily rotate and elevate lighting where I want it. I like the overall appearence that these fixtures gave to the computer room.

how do i change the bulbs ??

i don't remember if they came with instructions on how to get them apart to change the bulbs , but they are blown and i don't want to break them trying to chge the bulbs , if they did come with i probably threw them away with the boxes , CAN ANYONE HELP A DUMB OLD GUY ????
Posée par: dummy
I struggled with this a bit, too, since it came with no instructions. At the "bulb end" of the main housing, the last ring comes off with a gentle twist-pull. At first it doesn't look like it comes off but if you give it a little tug it does. Then you can (barely) grasp the bulb and remove/replace it.

Can I install this under an outdoor porch cieling where dampness may be high?

Rain should not hit this fixture directly but in a gale, maybe so.
Posée par: CaptainSuds
This fixture is safety listed for installation in "damp locations". This application does not include direct contact with water, but does include a covered porch.

is this light dimmable? (Progress Lighting Brushed Nickel 1-light Spotlight Fixture)

Posée par: Cassie
I do not believe it is dimmable. It has one of those weird two prong halogen lights.

does this fixture come with two lights?

Posée par: mary
That particular style does not have a 2-light option. Listed below is an alternate style you might consider.

How do I change the light bulb

How do I change the light bulb
Posée par: Boo
First always turn off the light. Place your hands on either side of the canister and press your thumbs against the front of the bulb. Push the bulb toward the back of the canister while you rotate it counterclockwise as far as it goes -- typically about a quarter turn. Release the bulb, and it should fall out of the canister .Install the new bulb by fitting the two prongs in the base into the round holes in the base of the canister. Push on the bulb with your thumbs while you turn it clockwise to lock it into place.

Can the bottom ring be replaced? During our renovation we lost one of the rings between switching the bulbs out.

Posée par: Tc1107
Thank you for your recent inquiry with The Home Depot. I'm sorry this ring is not a replacable part. Thanks!
