Rated 5 de 5 de par Works as advertised. A bargain at this price. I have 10 of these supporting my deck to correct for wet clay soil with water pooling at around 3.5 ft down. Each spring I have to make corrections even though my concrete pilings go down more than 4 ft. They work very well and install is a breeze. These legs offer great support vertically but very little horizontally so the deck must be anchored against horizontal movement by other means. My deck is "L" shaped with both inside edges attached to the house. Adjustment is simply turning a wrench right or left until the deck is level and we're ready for summer.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Love this I got this for my small greenhouse foundation, easy adjust, perfect!
Date de publication: 2019-05-06
Rated 4 de 5 de par Simple fine adjustments for deck Used these on my main support beam for easy of leveling. If you are using poured concrete footings then you have to be accurate with your layout plan. Once you set these upside down into the concrete you cannot easily move them. The paint on the metal is thick and tough. The "U" is about 1/4 wider then standard Stacked 2x material so you'll need a shim to fill the space. Use some caulking at the base of the adjuster nut to prevent water leaking into the shaft.

How tall of a post can be used if this is mounted in a deck block?

Posée par: Thomas
Hello Sir, This product isn't meant to avoid lateral movement, so if the post is attached to it's end, there's no height limit. Anything else, please let us know. Thanks

Could the steel corrode/rust if in contact with water? I want to place these in deck blocks that are going into the ground instead of on top of it, so the plate and shaft may contact water. can i do this or will the metal erode?

Posée par: dan1
I installed them on top of the cement support columns and cemented then in the powder coating is a excellent coating to prevent rust I believe that unless they are in water all the time they would take many many years to start rusting

Can i screw these support to deck blocks with tapcon or not? Cause in one english question you said yes and in one question in french u said no. So what the correct answer now

Posée par: Daviddi
Hello Sir, Yes you can but we do not recommend it as the deck block are not reinforced concrete which mean you can easily break the deck block by using tapcon. If you still want to screwd the deck support we do suggest to ust Tapcon style screws. Anything else, please let us know. Thanks

Can I use this bracket to support Two-2x10 beam intead of 4x4 post? Or is it better to use adjustable 12098 model?

Posée par: Yogi
You can use this to support two 2x10 beams but there will be a 1/2" gap. You can cut a 1/2" piece of wood to use as a spacer to fill the gap.

Merci

What is the height from the ground (bottom) of the support, to the bottom of the saddle? I'm trying to determine the minimum height the support will add to an existing deck sitting on 4X4 posts. Thanks. Dana
