It got the job done but I don't like the design. The blade is flimsy and the handle is just a long metal pole. You have to grip the pole tightly to be able to drive any force into the scrapping. If the handle was designed with leverage or grip in mind then this would not be an issue. I scraped a 12ft by 24ft space. Hands ended up pretty beaten once I was done even though I would switch up my hands regularly. At times it became hard to scrape stuck on pieces off because, again, the handle doesn't make it easy to drive with force.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Great scraper I used this scraper to get the staples out of the subfloor from old carpet in the home that we bought. This made that process go significantly faster to get the floors prepped and ready for new carpet. I highly recommend this tool for that job. It absolutely met my expectations and I do not have anything to dislike about it. Please hit the thumbs up if this was helpful.

Began my flooring project thinking I would just spend the time pulling staples by hand only to realize that would take a week. This scraper was more value-oriented, but it performed like a champ. Turned days worth of staple-pulling into thirty minutes of scraping. Make sure any subfloor nails are hammered flat, but even if this scraper finds some that aren't, it seems to have been heavy-duty enough not to damage the blade. Even after about 500 sqft of scraping hundreds of staples and finish nails, the blade is solid and could do it all ten times over. Probably my favorite tool purchase of the entire flooring project.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Great product I purchased this to remove carpet staples from the sub-floor in my house to prep for hardwood installation. It works like a dream. It saved me hours of staple removal by hand. The edge on the scraper is very tough and durable. My next project will be ripping up tile with it.

Rated 1 de 5 de par NOT good for glue from linoleum Removing linoleum from a concrete sub floor. Needing to get the residue off - with this particular product the blade is to flexible and gives to much spring. Handle is NOT padded so you will need thick gloves or a towel around the handle. There are other scrapers with narrower width blades that would be better for my need. Returning it tomorrow.

Rated 2 de 5 de par Not for sheet vinyl This did not work well on sheet vinyl in my bathroom. It will tear the sheet and does not do well at all getting under the adhesive. Yes, I read the other reviews and thought (just like any other man) "I can just angle it down more and add a little more pressure". RIGHT....... Perhaps it might work better on hard tiles. I 've owned this for less than 8 hours and used it for about 2 hours. I ended up back where I started... on the floor with a hammer and a set of old, stiff wide blade putty knives I no longer cared about. If you are pulling up sheet vinyl, look elsewhere.

Rated 5 de 5 de par This product was very useful! After a two week vacation we came home to a flooded basement (about 4 inches) of water because of a malfunction in the sump pump. Once the water was removed and drying was done, all the floor paint was beginning to bubble up. I went to Home Depot and asked in the floor department of my problem and recomendations. They took great care of me and recommended this product. Its was easy to use scraping the paint up off the floor everywhere it bubbled up. It is easy to use from a standing position, then vacuum up the paint shavings. Next stop will be Home Depot later this summer for some more Behr concrete paint to do the basement floor again. But the floor scraper was awesome.

Good day! Do you recommend this tool for scrapping off coats of elastomeric or other types of roof sealers / sealants on a 440 sq. ft. mobile home roof? If so, how much physical effort will this task require?

Posée par: TORANAGA
Yes. Great tool for ripping linoleum off the floor. Haven't used it on the roof yet. Not much effort required. I am under 5feet tall & it's fairly easy to use.

Do I need to use some type of solvent to help remove the vinyl backing before using this scraper? The vinyl is off but the paper backing is really stuck on in places. Thank you!

I bought this and used it for one day. The blade has held up well but the blade holder is warped now!

Is this scraper appropriate for removing 12 x 12 and larger ceramic tile from a floor that's about half concrete and half plywood?

Posée par: Theo
It's for removing glue residue. But using it on plywood will not work. Need a chemical solution for that

Can this tool be used to scrape popcorn off the ceiling ? The length of handle would prevent having to climb ladder or step stool thanks

Posée par: Margies5602
I wouldn't recommend it. Depending on your ceiling height, the handle is likely not long enough to reach at a comfortable angle. The blade is also very heavy-duty, and any slips could damage the underlying sheetrock
