Rated 3 de 5 de par Not enough putty seal provided Not enough putty seal is provided with this product. Recommend buying some roof sealant before you try to install them (due to the skimpy amount of putty seal provided and the fact that I do not trust the adhesive backing to work alone). The aluminum is pretty thin and looks like it could be easily damaged if mishandled during shipment. I had two sets shipped to my house without any damage (they were shipped in a sturdy cardboard tube). Directions were easy to understand and the "doorbrellas" were very easy to install. I especially liked how I did not have to drill any holes or put any nails in my roof.

Rated 1 de 5 de par Ineffective Garbage As others have stated, and I should have heeded their warnings, the double sided tape does not stick to the shingles and even if it did there's too many large gaps under the doorbrella that it might as well not be there. The included putty is not enough to block those gaps. I had some other putty for weather stripping, but even that wasn't working. I even tried to stick the doorbrella to the side of the metal flashing and it would even stick there. The theory behind this seems sound but the reality is, you'd have more success diverting the rain by standing on the roof swatting at the droplets with your bare hands. Don't waste your money like I did.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Works great! We gave a roof over the patio that does not have gutters on it. When it rained, the garden in front of the patio always flooded. We installed two Doorbrellas on the roof in a V formation. Now the rain is diverted to the sides and runs down more gently. No more flooded plants! Easy to install and really works!

Rated 4 de 5 de par Dorbrella rain Diverter The Dorbrella was very easy to install with clear instructions provided and accomplishes the purpose it is intended for: diverting rain from over the front entrance.

Rated 2 de 5 de par Rainhandler Ordered this product from app. It was not what I expected. The product did not have enough sealer to attach to my roof. Had to purchase additional sealant.

Rated 2 de 5 de par The adhesive and putty included don't stick to shingle well enough to actually divert much water.... The adhesive and putty included don't stick to shingle well enough to actually divert much water. We've had some heavy rains in Oregon, but are still getting dripped on from that roof section. The aluminum piece is really just some flashing with the adhesive stuck on one end. Probably better to design your own diversion system.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Easy to install. I installed over my patio the width... Easy to install. I installed over my patio the width of my slab because the rain wash splashing back where I sit. Now the rain at least drops further out so less splash and it's diverts off to both sides. Quick easy and need no gutters -Yay! Works for me!

Can the doorbrella be installed in 30-40 degree temperature?

I live in Maine, it is now the end of November. I bought the product but question whether if I should wait until spring to install it. Occasionally we may get a 40-50 degree sunny day at this time of year, but I cannot count on it. Please advise.
Posée par: Barny
no adhesive is poor on a good day. Forget it.

Can it be installed like other flashing, by sliding under the shingles? Just use a putty knife to loosen the tar from the shingle tabs and then slide under. This way the tar from the shingles will adhere once the sun warms the shingles.

Posée par: Daniel
Yes, that's the way I installed it and I have had no problems.

Can Doorbella be used with a tin sheeting roof?

Posée par: Lorideedee
It will stick to metal roofing. As to fitting a shape, you will have to determine that.

Do you have a product for an masonary door over hang (4' wide) with no roofing, or fascia and is flat?

I have a southwestern style masonry home with an overhang above the entrance. The lack of roofing does not seem to be problem (no leaks or drainage through overhang). The problem is when it rains the rain runs across the overhang and in front of the entrance soaking you entering or leaving. Will your product solve this problem or do have another product would help?
