Rated 5 de 5 de par Concrete sleeve anchors Very easy to install. Drill the hole through the plate and into the concrete floor deep enough for the anchor. Insert the anchor and tap it in until the washer bottoms out on the plate. Tighten the nut. Good to go. Secure holding strength.

You have to pre-install the anchor onto the item you are hanging and than hammer in the anchor. Otherwise you will not have enough length in the screw to tighten because the sleeve gets tigther as you pull out the screw. As an example, I installed thru the holes of shelf brakets and than hammered them into the wall.

It's a really good product, the only complaint I might have is that there really isn't enough thread sticking out to attach 1/4 materials the nut just barely threads and comes off when trying to drive into concrete if you tighten not up any it spreads out just enough that you cant even beat it in . But I made them work.

Rated 5 de 5 de par after snapping two heads off the inferior, in my opinion, supplied tapcons, I purchased these. 24 anchors later I finished the project. great price, quality & ease of use. due to the sleeve you can knock the units in & know that their not going to jam or fail. my go to from now on.

How much thread is exposed after the anchor is secured? is 1-7/8'' the anchors total length or the working thread lenght?
Posée par: Steve
This depends on how deep you make the hole and the thickness of what you are anchoring. The minimum needed engagement for the anchor in the hole is 1.5in.

How much weight does one anchor hold?

Posée par: F85bowtie
It depends on the application. Pull out strength and holding strength are much different. If you mount this to a wall and are hanging something from it, holding strength will be well over 5000lb based on the material and diameter. If you are asking about pullout strength, that depends on the material it is secured to...brick, stone, concrete, etc. The wall material will fail before the fastener.

How do I get these out of a brick wall?

How do you get these out of a brick wall? We are sheet rocking over the brick and want to put longer bolts in their place for remounting our tv once the new drywall
Posée par: kcg65
Hi kcg65. These anchors are not removable from your wall. in order to refinish with sheet rock over brick, you will most likely have to remove the nut/washer and grind the anchor down until it is flush with the brick. If you have any further questions, please contact customer service at 877-489-2726.

Hello, I am planning to use this product on my plaster + Rock lath bricks to fasten new cabinets, I know I have to use wood studs to secure the cabinets, but just in case can I use it on my existing material to secure cabinets? TIA

Posée par: Jefferson
You should be able to drive the sleeve anchors through the cabinet material directly into brick material. It's important to drill 1/4 inch deeper than the anchor embedment. For the 3/8” x 1-7/8" anchor, the minimum embedment depth is 1-1/2”. The maximum material thickness to be fastened should not exceed 3/8” (9.5mm). If the plaster + rock lath portion's thickness exceeds 1 inch, consider using the 3/8” x 3 inch anchor, allowing for a 1-1/2 inch maximum thickness. Note: I am assuming the end substrate is some type of brick material and there is a layer of unknown thickness plaster + rock lath on the brick.Hope this answers your question

Weight?

Im hanging a pull up bar in cinder block wall, how much weight will these hold?

How much weight will it hold?

Posée par: Patrick
Check the specifications table because the answer depends on how hard the material they are embedded into is, and if you are concerned with tension or shear strength. The lowest value I saw is 1160 lb for a 3/8" anchor in soft masonry
