Rated 1 de 5 de par Avoid at all costs This saw seemed like a good deal and the reviews were good. It does have power and I like that it came with all sorts of guards and stuff. However, the stand was confusing to assemble, the lock for the riving knife is difficult to use, the measurements for the fence are horribly inaccurate, angles are hard to set not to mention that it is very hard to get the blade to cut square, and most importantly is that the 4 second blade brake broke after just a few uses. I am thoroughly disappointed and I will be returning it. Would not recommend. Do not buy. Rigid, if you are reading this, I expected better of you and I hope that you can make good on this.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Good saw for a beginner woodworker This seems like a great saw for a beginner woodworker like myself. Fairly simple to use portable (because I have to move a car out of my garage to work and don’t have space for a permanent tablesaw) not too expensive, high quality, and backed by Ridgid’s lifetime warranty. Only complaint is that although the manual does explicitly state that the tablesaw can accept dado blades, at this time you cannot buy a dado blade throat plate for the saw. I was able to solve this by making my own dado blade throat plate with this table saw,a jigsaw, and an orbital sander.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Precision Machine I just bought this today, spent over an hour carefully assembling and reading every detail of the manual - and then made my first cut - oh so beautiful it was! I’m modifying a cabinet for a wall oven and the cuts are perfect and precise. Ripping boards is a total dream! After I packed it up For the day, I realized there was no dust on the ground or on me. This is my first table saw. I used my dads craftsman growing up - that was 20 years ago - this one is much better. I’m not a carpenter or handy man - just a regular guy that can now beautifully cut wood.

For a first timer like me it was supremely easy to setup and to learn how it operates. The blade guard is very easy to install and to remove. The fence is nice and rigid and the measuring ruler on the table gives me pretty exact measurements when using the fence. I started cutting right away and I was very impressed. The blade on the unit is pretty good. I really like this unit and in my first project I did not even have to use my miter saw or my circular saw -- I did everything on this table saw. And the price? It was just right for me. And it is very portable. I made all the cuts for this (first project) small sitting bench with the saw. I was done in 1.5 hours flat!

Rated 5 de 5 de par awesome saw for new DIYer This is my first table saw but after all the research i did it feels like my 20th. I love dewalt products but after watching a video by woodworking guru Steve Ramsey on youtube he suggested to choose a table saw that could accept Dado blades. Dewalts lower models do not. Also he specifically suggested this saw. Well i feel he was right. What a great small but powerful quality saw. All for only $279. The blade was 90degrees right of out of the box. Plus i like all the convenient features and storage. Assembly instructions were fine except for the leg assembly. The legs came out of the box already connected. BUT you need to reverse that configuration. Took me an extra hour to figure that out as the manual did not mention that. Other than that the saw feels tight and secure. The included blade works well as I cut 2*4s like butter.

Have had about 3 weeks so far I like it. I didn't use the stand that came with it because I mounted mine on a rolling worktable. I like the blade braking system that stops the blade within 4 seconds, like the large off switch that you can reach under and hit quickly without searching for a small button, I like the relatively long and sturdy power cord, and I like that the accessories can all be stored on the actual saw itself. The rip fence locks in place firmly with no play which some competitor models lacked. The riving knife wasn't aligned to the blade and I couldn't get it aligned using the supplied instructions in the manual so I ended up taking it off and bending it until it aligned, however my old saw didn't even have one on it. It appears sturdy and well built and I liked the lifetime warranty once it is registered with Ridgid.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Very convenient This is a heavy duty but still easy to store saw. The stand comes off very easily the saw can be used with or without it and the legs have a nice wide stance so it doesn't feel like it's going to topple over when you use it. I read some reviews on another saw that said the fence was not straight with the blade. but This one seems perfect, and the blade is good quality which was a pleasant surprise because I have found some included blades that were pretty crappie. The motor is certainly strong and when you turn it off the blade will stop turning in just seconds which I find a definite plus. I think this saw with last for years and years as my last one did but nice to know the lifetime service is included with this one. If you need a portable table saw I would suggest this one...

I was debating getting this or the Dewalt table saw for a while but since the Dewalt didn't have direct dado blade capability made me choose the Rigid. I used this quite a bit in the last couple weeks and it's super nice. I've been using it for ripping laminate floors and other garage storage projects. It makes clean cuts, just like butter! It's a tad heavy, but if you're moving within a 15'ish radius (like a garage), then moving it shouldn't be a problem. Otherwise, good luck carrying it around unless you got a buddy. Only problem i have is that the fence is stiff when you try to move it, it's not difficult I just wish it was easier to move around. I wish it had Dewalt's system - now that looks smooth. That being said, the fence is very stiff when locked, too. I wish it there was a built in extender for ripping but oh well. the two problems I said above isn't enough to downgrade a star. This thing is worth 5 stars.

Is the rip fence self aligning when you tighten it?

Posée par: 7000TL
From my experience, it is wise to measure from fence to blade, (at front and back of blade) every time you clamp it. Some saws have rip fences with closer tolerances than others. That may even vary between two machines of the same, exact model. Happy woodworking!

Can this saw use a DADO blade?

Posée par: Mike
the answer by 'chris' is not accurate. rigid uses a 3rd party parts supply, and searching for a dado throat plate for table saw model r4518 consistently shows zip results. it is very painful to search and find a dado throat plate for this table saw.

How is the dust collection ability?

Will be attached to my workbench.
Posée par: Capytan
The dust collection port is mostly useless. The majority of the sawdust falls under the saw.

I recently purchased this saw and I'm having trouble getting it to sit securely on the stand. The feet seem to be obstructing proper placement on the stand. Do the feet need to be removed if using the included stand? Thanks.

Posée par: George
Hello, George - Thank you for your interest in the 10 in. Table Saw with Folding Stand. To mount the table saw to the stand you will need to do the following; With the unit in the upright position, spread the legs of the stand. Place stand on level ground. When positioning the stand make sure each leg is spread fully outward to ensure the stand’s stability. Hold the table saw at a slight angle and place the rear of the saw onto the stand. The raised tabs on the stand should go over the saw’s frame and between the saw’s feet. The saw’s feet should fit inside the corners of the stand. Once the rear of the saw is in place, lower the front of the saw down and fit the feet inside the corners of the stand. Make sure the table saw feet are flush against the stand and that all the stand legs are touching the ground. Slide the saw forward slightly and secure in place using the latch on the front of the stand. If you did all of these steps correctly and the table saw is still not secure then I would recommend speaking with our Product Support Depatment.  A RIDGID Customer Experience Professional is here for you, Monday - Friday from 9 am to 6 pm (EST) when you call or text us at 1.866.539.1710 or through email or live chat when you visit us at https://register.ridgidpower.com/contact. I hope this helps! --Jewel
