Rated 5 de 5 de par Should have bought one 20 years ago Purchased to put on some baseboards and toe molding - worked like a charm. Took a 2 hour job and turned it into a 10 minute one. Some reviews voiced concern that to 2" 18 gauge nail would hold baseboards, but I didn't have any problems. I also used to trim out some columns, so much easier than nailing in with a hammer and having the parts move ever so slightly which leads to caulk job to fill gaps created by slight shifting in parts. I used window glazing compound to fill small nails hole in baseboards, couldn't even see them in oak toe molding so I left alone.

I did my homework on different nailers and this rigid nailer was my best choice. It's light weight, comes with a carry bag. The swivel fitting for the air hose hookup is a nice touch. It loaded easy and I used it to install some floor trim in my kitchen with no issues. It's oil free so you dont have to drop oil into the inlet hose fitting to oil it. The only issue I had and this might be my stupidity was the depth adjustment . I wanted my nail to stop just below the surface of the wood so it would be easier to putty the hole. Im sure it just takes some practice with the tool to get better at using the nailer's adjustments.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Great Brad Nailer The bottom line up front, the tool is designed well! The tactile feel, quality finish, and construction shouts durability. The light weight is a plus. I like the clear magazine well, because it allows you can see your capacity. The swivel air coupler is another great element, it make maneuvering easier. Not having to oil the gun every time is another perk, although small, every point counts. My only concern is the composite magazine construction. I'm not sure how durable it will be in the long run, only time will tell. If I were to compare this using cars, I'd say this is a well equipped BMW while the competition is your average Ford (works perfectly fine, but lacks refinement). In short, I recommend it.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Gets the job done... Needed to replace my brad nailer and decided to purchase the Ridgid 18g nailer. I am very happy with the purchase. The nailer is lightweight, drives the nail smoothly, and is very easy to use. I really like that it has a clear cover over the channel where the nails are loaded so I can see how many I have left, plus it has a feature (that can be turned off) that won't let it fire when the nails are depleted. I think it is a great tool for the value and look forward to using it for many years to come.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Nice! Purchased this Brad nailer to replace another brand which had died on me. I used it recently for some trim work around the house--have not put 1000's of nails through this nailer as of yet, but I did put quite a few-- so far I am impressed--I have not experienced any jamming of nails. It's lightweight and I like the swiveling hose connection(gotta fight it a bit to plug in a charged airline, but no big deal). I really like the see through nail magazine to see exactly how much is loaded and what size. I own some other brand name nailers and this is Brad nailer is thus far competing with the best of them--would recommend.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Finally a product that lived up to its reviews! I received the jailer super fast from Home Depot. I have only had inexpensive nailer and have avoided using them because of the depth errors and false shots. I was scheduled to do a project where I was using quality wood products and would be in view all the time so I decided to purchase a better nailer. The reviews for the Rigid nailer where excellent so I decided to purchase one. The price was not inexpensive but was not expensive either. Now that I have the nailer I would have paid double it as I am super satisfied and it was key to a great final product! The depth setting are accurate and the extra nose guards are handy also. Thx!

Rated 5 de 5 de par Couldn't work better! I'll qualify myself by saying I normally despise (I mean really, really DESPISE) Ridgid. I had 3 of my 4 tools and all 4 batteries fail on a job when they were almost new. I went to Milwaukee and now mostly Makita. Anyway - this brad nailer works perfectly. Consistent, smooth, lightweight, and comfortable. I've been running between 45 and 60 PSI, depending on the material I'm nailing into. That's worked well so far. I'm really excited every time I get use it and it has yet to disappoint. I highly recommend this, especially for the money. I picked it up on sale for $80 plus tax. I'd be happy with the purchase even at $99 though. Great nailer!

Rated 1 de 5 de par Throwaway with no support and no 3 year warranty! HOME DEPOT!!!!! Trying to leave a review about the pancake compressor but the link brings us here about a nail gun. I have pointed this out before! weeks ago when my review was denied because it wasn't about the compressor!! DUH! Would not turn on the fourth time. T late to take back to Home Depot. Several emails with Ridgid resulted in we will not do anything without the receipt, take it to a service center. Service center listed on Ridgid web site will not touch it or get involved in a warranty. Diagnosed as very cheap motor brushes that fell apart and were arcing causing very high heat on armature. Others have been denied warranty apparently due to no parts available!! Then give us another/better compressor. Obsoleting something before warranty is expired so you do not have to be responsible is criminal!

Can I use 18ga finish nails? Whats the difference between finish and brad nails!

Posée par: Pcox5
No, finishing nails require a gun specific to finishing nails. Finishing nails are used in applications that require more strength and holding power as they are generally a thicker gauge. You would use finishing nails for door trim or 5 1/4+ base molding. Brad nailers are good for the small stuff such as shoe molding and other light trim work. Brads can also be helpful when trying to just hold a piece of material in place before securing with a larger gauge nail.

What brand of brads for an R213BNA?

Posée par: Pat Cip
I don’t believe the brand matters, as long as you use a quality brand. I have always used Porter Cable with good results; however, at the time I purchased the nailer (from Home Depot) I needed 1-1/2” and 1-3/4” nails. My local HD didn’t have any, so I went to Lowe’s and they had a great variety of Bostitch brad-nails. I purchased them and have been extremely pleased… no mis-fires. So, I use and would recommend 18ga Porter Cable and Bostich brad-nails. I’ve never used DeWalt, but I’m sure they would work as well.

Does this ridgid R213bna be used to shoot staples?

Posée par: Bruce Howard
No. You need to buy the staple gun not the brad nailer.
