Rated 5 de 5 de par Great tools As for the LSA wait 2-4 weeks to register. If you register immediately after buying Home Depot has not forwarded the information from the register to registe immediately after buying Home Depot has not forwarded the information from the register to RIDGID. After purchasing five sets in multiple separate tools I found holding the receipt setting a reminder in my calendar and registering it 2 to 4 weeks after purchase every time the receipt gives all the information. Once the receipt number is entered registration online is complete in a few minutes and no need to send in all the extra paperwork

I used (2) Gen5 batteries and proper cutting blade with it as well. It literally took 4 full charges to make the cut. I then grinded down all the sharp edges and it used 1/2 the battery. It did the job but it took 3 hours including charge time to finish the job. Maybe it wasn't meant to cut and just grind but I got 3 minutes run time with it each charge. I don't write many reviews but I don't want to see someone needing a proper grinder and end up losing time on the job because of a similar experience as mine. Just buy a corded one!

I read the reviews before purchasing this tool and based on the positive reviews went down and picked one up. I used it to cut off several 1/2" anchor bolts sticking up out of a concrete floor. Overall the performance is very good and the grinder has adequate power but not as much as a corded type so it takes a little longer. The only problem I had was with the smaller 2 AH battery packs that comes in the drill kit, they are just too small and overheat almost immediately. The larger 5 AH battery pack is necessary for the grinder to operate properly and not have repeated thermal shutdowns. Bottom line, at $119 for the tool & $119 for the battery, it does the job but value is really not that great.

A week after I got my new Ridgid grinder, I needed to replace an exhaust pipe on my truck. I was excited to use this. I took 3 fully charged batteries with be. Knowing if probably go through then pretty quickly. Well batteries were not the issue. Every 3 or 4 seconds of grinding bolts, the grinder would shut down. I was not able to get anywhere with this thing. I went to the the garage. Grabbed an extension cord and my $12 HF grinder. Then I was able to get the job done. I call this thing a disappointing dud

Rated 5 de 5 de par This is a beast !! This is truly a incredible grinder. This grinder has not let me down from steel drain lines to cast drain lines from lags to steel posts the ridgid brushless grinder preformed like a corded grinder without the limitations of a cord a must have in anyone's tool arsenal. Two thumbs up ridgid .

Rated 5 de 5 de par Excellent I'm Building a metal shop and burned up a corded grinder and thought how much easer a cordless would be and this was about 2X the price of a good corded angle grinder but it is sooo much better. It lasted longer than I did with a 4.0 battery. It weighs a little more with the large battery but YAY NO CORD !!! I've put it through the paces and the only thing I would like is if ridgid would send me someone to operate it for me LOL seriously though I would like a wrench onboard maybe like the Roybi style because I taped the one to the cord on the broken one and afraid Im going to misplace the wrench.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Finished job that burned out a cheap corded angle grinder [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you have Rigid batteries and charger, and need a good angle grinder, then this is a good tool for you. I used it to finish a cement grinding job that burned out a cheap corded angle grinder, grinding down a cement bird bath bowl. Whoever did the mold of the bowl did a very poor job; the bottom inexplicably rose almost to the rim, except in the very center. It was a gift and is a very solid birdbath. So, being the DIYer I am, I wanted to salvage it and make it useful for its intended purpose. My cheap grinder burned out with just a regular grinding stone. So I bought a diamond wheel designed for cement and got this Rigid tool. The pictures show the ultimate satisfactory results. The tool has good power and didn’t bog down. Portability—not being tethered by a cord—is a big plus. A professional would find this tool well worthwhile.

This Grinder got 1 star because of customer service with their lifetime warranty. I did all they asked when I bought this product and still again they wanted me to jump through hoops because their not organized enough to have my purchase information on file. I never write reviews but this is the second time they did this to me. The first was with the drill set. I'm taking this product back and am done with Rigid products. I'm going for Milwaukee. DONE!

Why do you, Ridgid, charge this much and not even supply a bag? (I know no one supplies real tool...

Posée par: Dissapointed
Hello, I have to assume you were looking for some kind of zippered tote bag that you could store the grinder in when not in use? I know that several of the Ridgid individual 18 Volt tools, when sold separately, do not come with a storage bag. However, I know that many of the drill sets, for example, do come with a tote bag. Many of those tote bags have sufficient space in them that you might be able to get this grinder into the bag along with the drill(s).
