Rated 2 de 5 de par great concept / with problem another sub contractor says same thing I know about this vac. It has the power and 12 gallons is perfect. Problem they somehow overlooked is the vac is narrower at top which prevents the paper filter bag from being taken out when full. It will rip! you waste money to use bags with filter because the only way to do it without ripping bag is by removing them when half full. Even then you need to be careful. I wrote about this before but somehow they scrubbed it off the review section. So I suppose they do not want other consumers to see this review. So will see how this goes

Rated 2 de 5 de par Powerful but expect more This vacuum seems very powerful and is a definite up grade from my last Ridgid shop vac. Unfortunately, the on/off peddle broke after the first use and the prongs on the power cord came bent totally over to one side. I was able to fix the power cord; I was not however unable to fix the on/off button. I expected more honestly, I use this as a dust collection system for my hobby woodworking and had I know this was an issue I would have gone with either a different model or different manufacturer. Also, there's no good way to wrap the cord, which has always been a problem with shop vac designs but you'd think Ridgid would have taken that into consideration.

Rated 5 de 5 de par Don’t Need A Dust Collector After scouring the internet and researching whether or not to buy an actual dust collector, I opted to pick up the Ridgid 6.0 vacuum. Since the largest dust port I have is only a 2” on my miter saw, I felt the 4” port on a dust collector would essentially be overkill. And I think I was right! I know I wasn’t wrong getting the Ridgid instead!! It’s far exceeded my expectations, although I did upgrade to the Hepa filter before first use to aid in eliminating as much of the fine airborne dust as possible. If you’re thinking of using a shop vacuum for your home shop, think about getting this one. It does work!

Rated 5 de 5 de par Well designed I purchased this vacuum a few weeks ago and the design and performance is more than I expected. The organization of the tools and hose makes it easy to transport and store and the locking feature saves time and frustration when pulling the vacuum around. There is no chance of inadvertently disconnecting the hose with this well thought out system. The performance has been exceptional. I have used the removable blower to clean my patio and driveway with impressive and quiet power. I have also used the vacuum to clean up maple tree seeds after I blew them to the perimeter of my driveway. Quick and efficient.

Rated 4 de 5 de par WD1060 It appears to be well made and durable. I have only used it once to remove the sand from a pool filter. The only problem I had was when I got down to close to the bottom of the filter the sand had some residual water and this combination I believe caused the hose to become plugged. Previously I had a smaller Shopvac which had a smaller hose and a less powerful motor and the same problem occurred. I was little surprised because the Rigid model has a larger hose as well as a much more powerful motor. I wish Rigid had included bag filter to extend the life of the cartridge filter, Overall I am quite pleased with this model and would highly recommend it.

Rated 5 de 5 de par AvMust have I was using a much smaller shop vac to do dudes around my shop. Thought I needed to upgrade to make my projects more feasible as far as cleanup and being able to hook up to other tools and get the maximum performance of sawdust removal. Man oh man am I glad I made this purchase! The power behind it is undeniable and gets the job done much quicker. Plus an added bonus you can purchase other accessories that make the job fit your cleaning needs. Spend the extra money and get what you want and get a job done and save time. Highly recommend it! I do wish the accessory ports on the base were more encased to house the extensions better, but not a deal breaker

Rated 2 de 5 de par Works, but a bit worrisome I bought this at the end of November 2020, and am writing this review after having used it mainly to collect wood chips from my thickness planer. It does its job perfectly well, the only issue being every time after I use the vacuum, after turning it off and unplugging it, I get a pretty large shock when I touch the steel drum (to the point that I can see electricity arc from the drum to my finger sometimes). This is more than a little worrisome, considering it's a wet/dry vacuum and to my understanding it isn't wise to mix water and electricity. Also to my understanding, there is no reason that the drum should be building up a charge, static or otherwise.

Rated 4 de 5 de par Good deal for the money This is an inexpensive vacuum good for the shop or to clean up after construction projects, etc. Good high volume suction and can be used as a blower as well. The filters are pricey like all such vacuums. Its a good idea to get the bags if you are cleaning up drywall dust or similar small particulate. The only reason I gave it a four star rating is because of the attachments. The hose is awkward and too stiff. The hose clamp to secure it is cheap and the friction fit extensions fall out every so often. I haven't had it for a long time so I am not sure about it's durability. Overall its a good deal for the money.

I am getting an electric shock every time I touch the metal canister. It’s annoying when I walk past it and my leg brushes it, shock every time. Do they all do that?? If I exchange it will the new one do that as well??

Will this attachment fit the Ridgid Model #16360 wetdry vac ? Thank you

Will this attachment fit the Ridgid Model #16360 wetdry vac ? Thank you
Posée par: Kurt
Hello Kurt, No it's not compatible because the original hose of our WD16360 is 1-7/8 inch and this LA2510 fits the 2-1/2 inch hoses. You could replace the hose with VT2520 2-1/2 inch and it comes with an adapter that will allow you to use it with your vac so you can use this attachment. Or, you could buy the 1-7/8 inch wet nozzle with part number VT1710, but it doesn't have the locking accessory feature that the LA2510 has. If you need further assistance, you may call us at 1-800-474-3443 or send us an email at info@ridgidvacs.com. Thanks, RIDGID

I just bought this vacuum used and replaced it with a brand new filter. The hose is plugged into the vacuum port and when I turn it on it blows out the blow port A LOT. Makes it counterintuitive for cleaning up a shop. Is this normal?

Posée par: Kyralm
Hello Kyralm, Thank you for your inquiry about our products. The blowing function of the vacuum works simultaneously with the suction function that is why the blowing air from the vacuum is normal. It also act as the exhaust for the motor to prevent is from overheating. If the blowing air is too strong and blowing the debris you are picking up you may purchase and use a diffuser (part number VT2525) from Home Depot. Also, the air blowing out should not contain any debris as long as you are using the correct filter for the job you are working on and the filter is intact. If you have additional questions you may call our Customer Service at 1-800-474-3443 from Monday to Friday between 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Central Time or send us an email at info@ridgidvacs.com and we'll be glad to assist you. Thanks, RIDGID

How do you open the two orange brackets on either side of the vacuum. I cannot figure it out. What is needed to pop them off?  Should be easy, probably is, but it eludes me. Thank you

Posée par: Carl3737
I actually felt the same thing as you did.....I kept saying to myself, "this should be really easy, and I must be missing something!"  The reason you cannot open the Top is because you are putting your fingers below the "Very Bottom" of each Orange plastic side clamp.  The place you need to put your fingers in to pull up on, is about an inch higher than the bottom.  It's a space about an inch high, and your four fingers will simply slide right into it.  It's an odd design, and it's natural to think you should grab it from below the Orange clamp.  But just lift your fingers an inch or so higher than the bottom of each side clamp, and you will find how easy it is to get the top off.  Hope this helped!  David

How do I prevent it from blowing? I have the wand attached to the correct spot on the bottom but when I turn it on it’s constantly shooting air out the blow hole on the top? creating a bigger mess for me cleaning dust..

Posée par: Korey
It's a "in and out" thing. The air input has to go somewhere because it would explode your vacuum. For my part, i try to keep the vac as far as I can to pickup my mess. You could put another hose at the exit of your vac, and keep it further.

I have the NXT 53L 6HP model currently and am looking to buy another one. Can you tell me if this one is any quieter by chance?? Also, will the auto detailing hose fit this model?

Posée par: MarkStrewgs
I can't tell you if it is any quieter than your current vacuum (it's a vacuum, they're all noisy!), but you can buy a muffler for it which helps a bit (SKU # 1000146899). Also,I did buy the car cleaning kit (SKU # 1000527675) and yes it does fit.

This is for the 10-gallon wet/dry vac #WD10500 and 10600. The vac seems to have lost suction, but the exhaust is strong. No obstruction in hose or tubes. Is there supposed to be a gasket between the lid and top of the unit?

Posée par: Gary G
Mine has a rubber/silicone O ring. Used mine in only dry conditions. I could see how it might wear over time. Contact RIDGID to see if they can send you a gasket
